HomeKids & FamilyNursing AccessoriesWhat Should I Know About Morning Sickness?

Not just in the morning!

Jun 29 '00

When I was pregnant with my first child I got "all day" morning sickness for the first 5 months. From the time my eyes opened until they closed I felt like I was going to be sick. I thought for sure I was doomed.

I listened intently to the advice of friends and tried to eat saltines before I even lifted my head off the pillow. It worked a little. I tried drinking Ginger Ale. I also tried eating 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones but it was almost impossible to get ONE meal down feeling so yucky all the time. I have also heard that they have some sort of magnetic bracelet that you wear and it is suppose to help ease morning sickness. I never tried this.

My advice is try what you can and just hang in there. Hopefully in 3 months or so it will get better. I don't think there is any sure fire cure to Morning Sickness but the prize is definitely worth it! :o)
