I purchased this cradle when I was in my seventh month of pregnancy as an incentive and inspiration to get through my last few months. When we got the cradle home it required some simple assembly by two adjustable wrenches and a screwdriver. The Jenny Lind cradle is available in white and maple and offers a beautiful dowel design. It has a very sturdy structure with a locking pin that inserts through the leg and into the base of the bed. The Jenny Lind cradle comes with a moderately thick mattress that fits snuggly into the base of the bed and is supported by metal reinforcements on the underside. I really enjoy this cradle as part of my sons nursery. The only disadvantage I have found is that children grow out of it too quickly!
