With its new manager, the hotel seems to be courting a younger, more party going,crowd. This is not necessarily a negative it is just that the clientele (we included) that it has served for so many years will definitely notice a difference at the hotel....

I recently stayed at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef in St. Thomas and I'm still reeling from the disappointment of this trip. This particular Marriott is a three star hotel at best. The rooms on the first floor were absolutely horrendous. The smell of raw sewerage was prevalent throughout most of the building. We were put in a smoking room when we quite explicitly requested otherwise. Beds were horrible! Take my advice and avoid at all cost. The Ritz is comparable in price -- stay there

Nice resort, but looking tired in some areas. They are updating the resort so this will help especially for the high price. Stayed down at Morning Star with wonderful villas. Lots of the restaurants and bars where closed. There was suppose to be live music, there never was !! Services was awful and that is being polite !! So over all an ok experience but not as wonderful as everyone else is stating !!
