JW Marriott Ihilani We stayed at the JW Marriott on Oahu’s western shore for a week, celebrating our son’s 10th birthday in July, 2004. This property, taken over by Marriott in 1999 from the Nikko Hotel chain was built in 1993. I would highly ...
Pros: Location, beautiful property, beach/lagoons, nice big rooms and bathrooms, great kids program Cons: Overpriced dining options, pool, couch does not convert to a bed, some views
The Resort
This was our first trip to Hawaii and what a wonderful choice we made! We stay at Marriott Hotels often and are familiar with their hospitality, so was not surprised by what we found here. This was the second part of our...
Pros: Beautiful Hotel, Great Service, Location Cons: Location
This resort was wonderful. About 30 minutes from Waikiki, it sits alone on four lagoons and a golf course. Marriott is currently building a new timeshare resort near the hotel, but there is nothing else around.
Pros: Quiet isolation, nice rooms, excellent spa Cons: Very far from downtown, too isolated, overpriced dining options
Every year my grandmother, mother, sister, and I get away for my birthday for a few days. For one of my birthdays, we went to the Ihilani to enjoy a weekend of relaxation and bonding. I should add that my entire family lives on Oahu and my mom is in...
Pros: Beautiful property, great service, safe swimming Cons: Pricey, location
On our recent trip to Oahu we spent two nights and three days at the J.W. Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa - what a lovely property! The hotel itself is visually stunning, understated elegance abounds. The foyer has a gorgeous airy atrium feel. The rooms...
Pros: Beautiful, Relaxing, Wonderful service, and you will never get bored! Cons: Location.
Exquisite hotel set about 30 minutes from Waikiki with luxurious amenities.

As a prologue let me mention this trip was our honeymoon; one of several trips I've made to Hawaii but my bride's first island adventure--and what an adventure it turned out to be! Before reading our review though, I recommend everyone read up on the ...
Pros: quiet location with very nice rooms, family oriented Cons: ocean views can be less than desirable for the price, food too expensive
We took a family of 4 - husband & wife with 2 girls, ages 10 & 15. We had a wonderful time at the Ihilani. The lagoon was nice and sheltered for swimming. We also enjoyed the pool. I brought my aqua weights and had no problem working out in the pool ...
Pros: Where do I begin?!! My favorite was the view from the room. Cons: Food at hotel was expensive.
I have never done a review before but I loved JW Marriott so much I had to make sure I told everyone about it. In March 2002 we made our first trip to Hawaii. As soon as we pulled off on the Ko Olina exit to enter the resort area we were impressed by...
Pros: Beautiful, Quiet, Great Service, Nice Beaches, Relaxed Atmosphere,Variety of Restaurants, Paradise Cons: Staying at a great place like this isn't cheap but it's worth it.
My husband and I arrived at the Ihilani Resort for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The resort is beautiful, clean, quiet and not too crowded. The lagoons are a wonderful place to enjoy the water and relax. They ...
Pros: Luxurious rooms, beautiful property, away from crowded Waikiki and Honolulu. Cons: Away from crowded Waikiki and Honolulu. Dining choices are few and pricey.
The J.W. Marriot Ihilani Resort and Spa is every bit a resort as you would hope. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious. This holds true for the bathrooms too.
I live on Oahu and have stayed at the Ihilani Resort and Spa several times. I...
Pros: See above. Cons: There is only one large pool and spa. The price is a little high.
This is a great resort. We paid the extra money for the Deluxe Ocean View room and had the most beautiful view of the sunset over the water each night. The service was great and all the workers seemed happy and cheerful. The room we had was large and had a beautiful marble bathroom. The bed was comfortable and easy to sleep in. The resort is very quiet and peaceful and good for a relaxing vacation. The private lagoon is great for kids to play in because there are no waves. For the adults, the golf course is right across the road and easily within walking distance. The resort is wonderful and we will stay there again on our next trip to Oahu.
