We were making a trip to visit my husbands daughter six hours away from us. We knew that we would be staying for a couple of days so I was calling around to find us a hotel to stay in, in their small town.
That's when I came across Howard Johnson. I made our reservations a month in advance.
We arrived at the hotel and my husband went in to get the key as I was getting the kids out of the car. He came out in no time with our key.
Off to our room we go, which was one the first floor. I was very glad since we had lots of luggage and 2 kids with us.
Rooms

~ Working air conditioner and heater
~ Coffee Pot
~ Cable TV
~ Hair dryer
~ Full length mirror
~ Alarm clock
~ Shampoo and soap
~ Ice bucket

A lot of that is typical at any hotel.
The staff was very friendly, even when we got out of there an hour after check out time. The maid service came by every morning to give us fresh coffee, clean our room, and to give us new toiletries.
Every morning you can count on a continental breakfast that included muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, hot chocolate, milk, and coffee.
There was a laundry room just a few doors down from us which came in handy. Next to that was an exercise room that had a window looking out into the indoor pool and spa room, where my husband and the kids went swimming everyday.
We ended up staying five days. We wanted to stay longer just to have more time with my step daughter, but now we know where we will stay next time we visit her.
