In travelling for personal reasons and keeping an eye on an overall budget, Comfort Inn always is the top choice. They are conveniently located across the US and provide a very nice experience for not such a big price.
Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites has some of the better rooms in the mid-range priced hotels. They are all very clean and well maintained and the wait staff are always pleasant and helpful.
All rooms come equipped with an ironing board/iron, coffeepot, hairdryer, robes and all of the trimmings. If you need anything, call the front desk and they typically have it on stock for a minimal charge.
Most Comfort places also have a pool, whirlpool/sauna and often times a workout room. This is a nice convenience for people who enjoy keeping up with their workout schedule while travelling for business or personal reasons. Most of these rooms are open 24 hours a day for added convenience.
Comfort Inn prices are average and decently priced. Most rooms can be got for around $79 - $89 per double room, depending on the location in the city. The closer to downtown you are, the higher the prices seem to be. If you have a corporate plan or employee plan, most rooms are $15 or $25 a night, a VERY nice luxury to have. Comfort also provides express checkout services where you can just sign your room voucher and drop off your key and your room will be billed to the credit card you used when you registered. This saves the checkout hassle that often occurs.
Comfort Inn also provides a daily copy of USA Today and continental breakfast until 10:30am each morning, along with a full range of room service ammenitites. Be aware, room service IS pricy! I got a pitcher of coffee and paid $4.95 for it.
All in all, Comfort Inn is a great place to stay for budget watchers, small families or short business trips. They have great rates and great hotels that really do allow for comfort on your trip.
