| czimm28's Full Review: Kona Village |
I can't believe I am the first to review this resort! It is magical. I stayed there several years ago, during the month of June, and am dying to return. The hales (cottages) are comfortable and there are no telephones or TVs to distract you. The food is fantastic. They make the most incredible mai tais! The snorkeling, just a few feet from shore, is terrific (saw my first sea turtle) and the Friday night luau is great fun--flame throwers, hula dancers, the works. Loads of privacy. Lots of activities, if you choose. The only drawback: this little corner of paradise isn't cheap. In fact, it's practically a king's ransom. (The American plan and complimentary activities help take the sting out of the price tag.) Still, I believe Kona Village is worth every penny. And when my children are old enough to participate in the children's program (6 years and older), we'll definitely make it a family holiday. If you're honeymooning, this resort is IDEAL.
