Pros: Great design, photography and thoughtful articles/poetry Cons: available in few bookstores, particularly in Europe (but online)
Just to add to the great review here: Kyoto Journal is in a small select group: independent media. The magazine is made up of all volunteers in the center of which is John Einarsen (founding editor and designer) and Ken Rodgers (head editor). ...
