“W” is a very large magazine that you definitely won’t be taking to the beach this summer. With it’s some 278 pages of everything the curious to the rich might want to browse through.A magazine that is vibrant and colorful from it’s ads for jewelry to the newest trendy spa treatments, to it’s “royalty” of the fashion world.
This magazine focuses on Haute Couture and also follows the careers and decisions of the best designers in the world today. Whether it be a color change of Bobbi Brown in her new makeup line or the only soap designer who uses milk from her own goats, W offers an interesting look and wish for many of us who just might like to know what brings about the latest new looks and trends each season.
An interesting find unlike most magazines is that you can read about so many famous worldly celebrities and royalty that most of us wouldn’t have a clue on their names .If we lived in their respective countries of course we would be up to date with being rich and buying and living in the clothing that brings these people together for their parties, rendezvous etc…
This magazine, rather large, reminds me of high society catering to the rich, famous and it brings you up to date news of the “in crowd of the world” happenings.
We’ve got our casual everyday labels many of us know by heart like Guess, DKNY, Calvin Klein and then moving along to Tod’s ,Vuitton ,Custo, Frete and many more. If you are interested in reading about the latest fashions by some of these designers like some that I’ve listed and more , this is the magazine for you .
It too, has it’s dot –coms for the real expensive jewelry and watches, cars and perfumes if you dare! Pleasing to the eye for me are the photos and learning a little about color ,patterns and some of the best luxury items that are available in the world (it just sparks my interest). This is such a global magazine with great flair for showing all sides of fashion.
There are also always a few familiar actor/actress faces on the society pages and it’s amazing to hear that they attended some party or benefit I’ve never heard of.
Oh yes and there is usually an announcement of the next society gathering if you want to attend…How much???Let’s just say be prepared because most likely if it’s not held in the US, you will have to find a way to Monaco or some other exotic locale.
One things for sure is I will definitely pick this up on and off because it’s not all about “who is your ideal mate?” .
Not only that, I did check out one site that was a dot-com site called sephora.com and if you just really need that special eyeliner, shadow, or blush then you don’t have to brave the crowds at the mall and it’s easy to order online.
If not for the nice pictures and different appeal that this magazine offers, at least take a look for the interesting articles of “what color therapy can work for you !LOL!
Some interviews that can be found in this magazine are some along the likes of Matthew McConaughey to Bobbi Brown to some of the Spanish and or Latin musicians and actors .An interesting magazine with it’s own different angle that I don’t think I can compare to any other. Happy reading!
