| Rowhite's Full Review: Star Magazine |
I purchase this magazine for the sheer frivolity of it. When I want to escape and not utilize and brain power, this is the magazine to pick up. Most of the articles are well written and mostly fluff. However, when the stories turn out to be true it causes one to think and smile. The articles that have been out lately regarding "A Day in the Life of...(Big name star)." Those articles are mundane and a bit tiresome to read. Most of these 'Big Name Stars' are has-beens or one hasn't seen them in any thing lately. This is apparently their attempt to have the public remember them or whatever. I use to like the Star Style pieces describing some star's fashion savvy and exercise/makeup regime. They haven't been showing up lately but I wish they would bring them back. Two other magazines that are comparable to the Star is the Enquirer and People Magazines respectively. People if for more indepth reading but still fluff for the most part. I would highly recommend the Star Magazine for those looking to temporarily get away from the daily grind.
