| DJDZA26's Full Review: TransWorld SKATEboarding |
I've been a skater as well as a Transworld reader for 11 years. After I bought my first skateboard, a Tony Hawk street Hawk, I instantly purchased a copy of Transworld Skateboarding. This magazine was the first of it's kind, opening the doors to magazines for Surfers and snowboarders. I read Transworld for many reasons, but I subscribed for one reason alone: The magazine is real...In 1988 Transworld was real, they gave you the skinny on the proskaters such as Tony Hawk, Steve Cabalero, and The Gator. These guys reinvented skateboarding from the skinny yellow Nash boards, to 7-Ply wood decks, with Venture trucks and Powell Bones. Transworld took advantage of the skating world and put it at our finger tips. I congratulate Transworld for being there for the next generation of skaters. Keep it real.
