This is a no-brainer. It is a simple a gossip sheet tabloid which exists for pure entertainment.
The Star, along with the National Enquirer, (which by the way are owned by the same company and headed by David P*cker / Chairman, President & CEO)are cut from the same cloth. All the "shocking untold stories" you ever wanted to read about are here. From Linda Tripp's plastic surgery miracle to Kelly Ripa's anorexia scare.
I admit to picking up a copy here and there (I get them as comps) to make side by side comparisons and to get away from the business world I live in. They are almost mirror images of one another although I do have a slight leaning towards the more racy National Enquirer.
Is there any truth here? Where there is smoke, there is always the chance of fire. No doubt, much of this is manufactured, overinflated gossip. But what better way to infuse racy tidbits into some high-end cocktail party than to quote the Star? Just don't credit the source!
* Note: Ironically, I had to hyphenate David P*cker's name because Epinion highlighted it as "objectionable" and therefore unacceptable!!!!
