By participating in this Epinions September Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes"), you agree to the official rules (collectively, "Official Rules") below. 1. ENTRY. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You can enter the Sweepstakes in one of two ways. First, you can submit an Eligible Review (as defined herein) to Epinions.com from September 1, 2009 (12:01:00 AM Pacific time) through September 30, 2009 (11:59:59 PM Pacific time) (the "Submission Period").

To qualify:
An Eligible Review is defined as follows:
a) It must be a review submitted on a product or service in Epinions.com's database, excluding editorials, buying guides, comments about Epinions.com, member advice, and the writer's corner;
b) It must meet comply with the Epinions Site Rules, available here
c) At the time Epinions.com validates entries (some time shortly following the end of the submission period), each review must be new and have an overall rating of at least "somewhat helpful" or "show".
Once you have written and submitted an Eligible Review, you are not entered until you do the following:
d). Create a Twitter account and follow @epinions
e) Tweet your review in the following format: "Read my review of the "Product Name", URL of your review, @epinions" Example: Read my review of the Apple iPod Nano, http://www.hurl.ws/42wm @epinions
f). Register the Eligible Review during the Submission Period.

You need to individually register each Eligible Review you want to count as an entry. Eligible Reviews that are not properly registered will not be considered as entries. In addition, after tweeting one (1) Eligible Review you shall receive one (1) additional entry if you re-tweet the Epinions September Sweepstakes itself (rather than the Eligible Entry). For example, a re-tweet of "Win an Apple iPod Nano @epinions URL of Epinions September Sweepstakes." will count as an additional entry into the Epinions September Sweepstakes. Re-tweeting your Eligible Review only, rather than the Sweepstakes itself, will not result in additional entries. As an alternative entry method, you can also print the words "Epinions September Sweepstakes" and your name and address on a postcard and mail it to Epinions September Sweepstakes, Epinions.com, 8000 Marina Blvd., 5th floor, Brisbane, CA 94005. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by September 23, 2009 and received by September 30, 2009 to be eligible, and mail-in entries not on postcards (such as in envelopes) are invalid and will be discarded. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

2. DRAWING. Epinions.com will select winners by random drawing from all qualified entries. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries. Potential winners will be notified by mail. If you are selected as a potential winner, your prize award is conditioned on Epinions.com receiving a complete and executed eligibility affidavit, liability release and publicity release from you within 14 days of mailing date; if Epinions.com does not receive those documents in that time period, irrespective of cause, you will no longer be eligible and an alternate winner will be selected.

3. PRIZES. Epinions.com will select a total of four (4) winners for the month of September. One (1) winner will be selected on each of these dates:
Winner #1 -Wednesday, September 9, 2009
Winner #2 -Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Winner #3 - Wednesday, September 23, 2009
Winner #4 - Wednesday, September 30, 2009
Winners are solely responsible for paying any taxes or other expenses associated with prizes. Epinions.com will report prize values to taxing authorities if required by applicable law. Prizes may not be transferred, and limit one (1) prize per person.

4. ELIGIBILITY. To enter, you must legally reside in the 50 United States and be over 18 years old when on the date of entry. You are ineligible if you are an employee of or consultant to Epinions.com or its parent company, affiliates and suppliers (or if you are an immediate family member of, or live in the same household as, one of those individuals). The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

5. DISCLAIMERS. Communications between you and Epinions.com (including your review submission, entry, Epinions.com's notification of winning or your response to such notification) may be affected by many factors, including technological failures, and may be lost, late, stolen, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or otherwise undeliverable. Should any communication problems affect your Sweepstakes participation or opportunity to win or claim a prize, regardless of for what reason or whose responsibility such problems are, you accept that Epinions.com is not liable for such problems. IN NO EVENT SHALL EPINIONS.COM OR ITS AFFILIATES OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS OR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE WRITE-OFF (HOWEVER ARISING, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE). Epinions.com cannot ensure that its website will be operational or will operate error-free.

6. PROMOTION INTEGRITY. You may not use an automated process to submit multiple entries, and Epinions.com may void all entries submitted from entrants who use such processes. You will be disqualified if you attempt to manipulate, interfere or tamper with the entry process or Sweepstakes administration. Epinions.com intends to report any unlawful activity to law enforcement authorities. Epinions.com may cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if Epinions.com, in its sole discretion, believes that the Sweepstakes' integrity has been compromised.

7. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. Use of any information submitted by entrants in connection with this Sweepstakes to Epinions.com on the Epinions.com web site ("Epinions.com Site") will be subject to the terms and conditions stated in these Official Rules as well as to the Shopping.com User Agreement and Shopping.com Network Privacy Policy available on the Epinions.com Site. You will not be eligible for the Sweepstakes if your account at Epinions.com is not in good standing. In order for your account to be deemed in good standing as that term is used herein, you must not have a hold on either account and your accounts must not be suspended as of August 31, 2009.

8. In such event, Epinions.com may void any entries they suspect are at issue and award prizes from among all eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR ANY ONLINE SERVICE RELATED TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, EPINIONS.COM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entrants who violate the rules or interfere with this Sweepstakes in any manner. If an entrant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate that entrant's eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes. Any attempts by an individual to access any website associated with this competition via a bot script or other brute force attack or any other unauthorized means will result in the IP address and all entries from that IP address becoming ineligible. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited.

9. WINNERS LIST. You may request a Sweepstakes winner's list by sending a postcard with your return address to: Epinions September Sweepstakes Winner's List, Epinions.com, 8000 Marina Blvd., 5th floor, Brisbane, CA 94005. Such requests must be received within thirty (30) days following the Sweepstakes' end.

10. GENERAL. This agreement is governed by California laws as such laws are applied to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within California between California residents. Entrants agree that the conditions of submission set forth in these Official Rules, and all documents and agreements incorporated in these Official Rules by reference, solely govern the relationship between entrants and eBay in connection with this Sweepstakes.
