Google Authorship: How to get your picture in Google Search Results?Google Authorship allows writers to claim authorship to their content and helps it rank in search. The special display features a photo and a link to additional articles by the author:
Here's what you need to do:1. Have a Google Plus ProfileSet up a new Google Plus profile or use your existing one on https://plus.google.com. Your Google Plus name must consist of two words. Please use your real name or your pen name. Remember that this name will be displayed on each of your reviews and essays, and might appear on Google Search Results. Use a good recognizable photo of your face. 2. Add Epinions to your Google Plus Profile
Log in to your Google Plus account. Edit the Contributor To section under the About tab. In the dialog that appears, click Add custom link, and then enter the website URL: www.epinions.com. Click Save. 3. Add your Google Plus Profile to your Epinions Account
Log in to your Google Plus account. Go to https://www.google.com/settings/privacy. Copy the Google Plus URL. Go to your Epinions Public Profile page and paste the URL. Click "Update your profile". |
