Hi, I had a mosquito magnet a few years back which worked well for the first season then refused to start up the next year. They wanted me to send it back for repairs and it was going to cost me quite a bit to get it fixed (outside of warranty).

So I did some research and came across Megacatch traps - anyone else heard of them?

I purchased their ultra and it worked great once I found the right settings. I did have an issue with the power supply which failed almost immediately (apparently a bad batch) but their customer support was so good - I had a replacement within a few days with a few extra octenol lures thrown in for free.

Also, they are very easy to repair yourself, no sending back to the manufacturer - they send you the parts with instructions on how to install.

This year it has been great - no problems at all so far.
