Renew works great for eczema

I used to have a Melaleuca account, but didn't like buying a certain amount each month. Now our family shares an account.

My brother has had severe eczema his entire life, and the Renew product line is the only thing that's helped. He uses the lotion for his skin, and all the laundry and bathing products as well. Same with my nephew.

We use the laundry and cleaning products, assuming they're all natural...but I'm not 100% sure, which is why I've been Googling.

Melaleuca

I got a call from one of the rep today wanting me to join. She said the products are what everyone is looking for today! Green - natural ....
Well I sell skin care, and these products I saw on the site ARE not even close to Natural! Just the Facial Cleanser scared me off:
1st Ingredient was water
(ha we all pay a water bill every month, why should we pay a company to put it in our skin care?)
2nd Ingredient was SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, plus propolyparaben, butylparaben, methylparaben are listed in a lot of the products I looked at.

RE: Question on Product Line

I have been using Melaleuca Products for over 10 years and love the way they work. Building a business is well worth the work and time with these products.

good products

Even though some melaleuca products aren't all "natural", they still work pretty well and personally I find them to be less irritating than store brands. I love using melapower laundry detergent. It doesn't fade my clothes at all! Even if I place them in the dryer. My clothes last longer and smell great too. I also love using sol-u-mel. It gets rid of everything!!!I will never use store bought cleaning products again.

RE: Question on Product Line

I've been using Melaleuca for a while now and love the products. They are concentrated and therefore last longer than grocery store brands. They are priced about 30% less per use. The Nicole Miller line is great. I use the day cream on my sensitive skin and it's just the right weight without being greasy. I also love her lip treatment stick. It's not waxy and very moisturizing. Best of all it comes right to my door. Let me know if you want more specific info--I'm happy to share details on other items.

I use their products and am very happy with them. If anyone has any questions on ANY Melaleuca product let me know.

Email me at sfpblgg@gmail.com if you have any questions

I'm not a business builder in Melaleuca but if you want to get referred and be registered in their system I would be happy to do that for anyone.

RE: Melaleuca

I am always intrigued when I hear this: that she just wants to make money off the products you buy or that she is pushing it so much that you won't even try it.

She is your sister-n-law. I am not a member, yet, but not only does the company have green products that are right at the price of regular store brand products... but a percentage of what you spend goes towards your brother and sister-n-law. To me, that would be more incentive to try it. And if you were to get your parents or other family members involved they would be putting a percentage of their grocery bills towards you and your brothers household.

I would jump on board if a cousin or anyone I cared for in anyway asked me just to try a product that I could benefit from, with a competative price and help them out as well.

Sometimes in life the people that "love you the most" don't want to do anything that may help you advance in life. The truth is, maybe she is not a very good sales person, maybe she is thinking money or maybe she REALLY cares about you. Maybe she is validated, maybe she isn't.

The point is she is offering you an opportunity to buy groceries, the company sends you $100 of free groceries, just so you can try them and hopefully decide you like them. People are so worried about people tring to swindle them that even their family members can't get through to them tha it is as simple as making the money we spend on groceries every month go into our family's pockets, and not just some stranger. PLUS, if you join and your sister in law gets some more people to join.... she would in turn put people under you, not under non-family members. She may just want someone like you that she wants to put people under. So you can be getting free groceries at your door every month.

I would say, just try it, for your sister in law and brother. Try to be a part of something she is so passionate about... it is good.

RE: researching natural, non toxic cleaners

My husband started distributing Melaleuca products in April, 2010. He was enthusiastic about the possibilities of these "eco-friendly" products. I began using the Nicole Miller line of skin care and the rest of the Melaleuca line in April, personally. In May of 2010, I began experiencing strange, neurological symptoms...parasthesia, migraines, skin sensitivity. My physician could not find a cause. A holisitic physician suggested I might have been exposed to a toxin. Long story short....I stopped the Nicole Miller producta, and all other Melaleuca products. My symptoms disappeared within weeks. I can't prove the products caused these adverse reactions, obviously. However, I would NOT recommend them.

RE: researching natural, non toxic cleaners

One way to definitely prove what caused your reaction would be to go back on the products. If the symptoms return then you know it is something in the products. You could try just the Melaleuca products, and then the Nicole Miller to see which one is actually the cause of the problem. Not saying stay on the product, just find the one which is causing the symptoms, read the ingredients, and then shy away from other products that may contain any of those ingredients for future reference. I don't sell those products so I don't have a dog in this hunt, or horse in this race.. LOL.

Not what it appears to be

I am very "green" minded and I live a pretty organic lifestyle. So when my neighbor recently gave me the sales pitch I noticed right off the bat that the Melaleuca line of products are anything but what they claim, (natural/green).
I do a lot of health research and this is what I have gathered from just a few of the items.
Like others have mentioned there is Sodium Laureth Sulfate in many of the body care products, which is the main thing that "natural" minded folks know to stay away from.
The gold bar soap really dries out my skin, (not sure what is in it, but I know nothing good).
They sell flouridated toothpaste,(even in children's) and claim that it helps to prevent cavities, which again natural minded people know is a poisonous currosive and should never be consumed. It even says on the back of the label not to consume it, hhmmm it goes in your mouth. Tell me how not to consume it when what goes in your mouth goes straight into your blood stream under your tongue.
The vitamins contain Magnesium Stearate, which over time gums up your intestinal track and prevents the absorption of vitamins and minerals, (go figure they put it in vitamins).
Other than some tea tree oil, (which you can get many places), there is nothing natural about this company. It is the same crappy products that are sold in stores with a different face.
Don't be scammed, and please do your family a favor and go organic. This stuff is not good for your health and they should be in trouble for claiming something they are not!

Poor review from a 4yr Marketing Exec.

I have been a Marketing Executive with Melaleuca for 4 years, yet I am about to cancel my membership, even though I receive monthly checks...I have a well-rounded take, so maybe I can shed some light for those of you who are consciously searching.

- Initially I was just interested in non-toxic products and got swept away by the business opportunity.
- Didn't build the business at first because of how busy I was, but was invested in the idea of doing it. Just went with all the catch-phrases and rationalizations I see repeated at this message board almost word for word "safer for your family" "simply switching stores" "putting money in the pocket of the person who referred me, instead of Wal-Mart". It was an easy way for me to feel like I was being greener and healthier, without actually doing my research.
- Decided to build the business two years later. Decided I'd build with everything I had. I'm very outgoing, and talking to people about it was easy...most people were ready to try the products out on the spot...but I'd have to set up an appointment to "show them", which really meant explaining to them the fine print and ALL the benefits that would rationalize why it was so worth it.
- Made it to Director but my batting average and retention rate was terrible. Stuck with it to improve, practiced, read sales books, etc but it ultimately wasn't effective for someone to have to spend $70 or so for me to see $5. There are some people who go big very quickly, but reasonably, it will take serious time to build any truly substantial income. You'll need to get 15-20 people involved to even cover your own monthly orders.
- It's true it's not technically MLM but it still looks, feels, and smells like it to people who are simply wanting to buy a few products as they need.
- I've never had a hard time hitting the product commitment because I switched over to so much of my products, but now I'm realizing that a lot of the stuff isn't worth the money I'm paying and in being more selective, probably won't make the monthly 35 points.
- I quit actively building my business once I realized it wasn't effective for me and my goals, but continued being a customer and continued receiving residual checks from the people still buying. I've remained a preferred customer, never questioning the appearance of the company's reputability from the on-set and the investment I've made as a loyal customer over the years. Currently I am down to getting about $30 a month from Melaleuca but I figured, HEY, it's more than Wal-Mart or my local health food store gives me for shopping there...so I've remained a customer.
- I have truly built my own business as a fitness lifestyle coach, helping people get in shape, eat right, etc. Currently, I had a client ask me about non-toxic products, etc...of course my first inclination was to immediately recommend Melaleuca and all the catch-phrases about it, but since this is a business I've built solely on my reputation I thought I better double check all the ingredients in everything first.
- The product labels are available for every product for existing customers in their online account. When I started looking I was shocked! Some things are SLIGHTLY better than grocery store brands, but many of them have just as many unhealthy, irritating ingredients.
- If there's truly "no price on your family's health" like some here are saying, then take the time to research or ask me for guidance. (E-mail me at andi@andilynn.us)

RE: researching natural, non toxic cleaners

That's it? That's your patent "all-is-well" answer for household cleaners? They aren't required to list their ingredients, so they dont...end of statement?

Uhhh...don't you think they SHOULD be required to do so? I can guarantee that if they did, most people wouldn't buy them!

Funny...people will slam a company like Melaleuca for supposedly NOT listing their ingredients, but yet they are more than willing to give companies like Proctor & Gamble or Johnson & Johnson's a complete pass for the same thing!

Guess we can read between the lines and see where the REAL bias is!

RE: Non toxic?

"I'm not playing russian roulette with my kids. Melaleuca is history for me."

I would suggest you already are playing Russian Roulette with you children if you use a childrens no-tears shampoo. Most cpontain formaldehyde. Did you know that? Do you have any idea what the total cumulative effect of that chemical might be as it is being absorbed into your childrens skin?

Probably not. And I can guarantee that companies like Johnson & Johnson aren't going to tell you! Nor are they going to list that ingredient on their labels!

I have two dogs and a cat that I adore...and I would never use Lime-A-Way, Kaboom, Windex or a multitude of other harmful household toxins around them.

Bet you do. Talk about "russian roulette".

RE: Melaleuca

Melaleuca is no hype, it is for real. I have been a customer for over 11 years, I joined in 2000. I don't like some of the products but I do love the ProvexCV, Provex Plus and Provex supplements.

In 2008 I was diagnosed with having one DVT in my right leg and 2 very large embolism (one in each lung) and I nearly died.

When I read my medical record I learned how shocked my vascular surgeon was to learn that I had no damage to my arteries or veins that all patients have with blood clots, where those who are not taking Melaleuca supplements and vitamins.

It control my cholesterol...my HDL (good cholesterol is 123) and my LDL (bad cholesterol is 86) I don't stand a chance for heart disease and the Provex supplements gives cardio protection 24/7, unlike aspirin that shuts down in the presence of adrenaline.

Also, the Provex supplements is guaranteed to prevent the spread of cancer in the stomach, lungs, and breast...now what supplement can guarantee that?

Provex supplements also increase blood circulation and is a natural anti-inflammatory. I was diagnosed prior to Melaleuca with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, Rheum Arthritis, migraines and Myalgia, which are all painful recurring conditions due to job stress (I retired in 2005), but being on the ProvexCV I have been nearly pain free 99% of the time. My Rheum physician diagnosed me with Lupus in 2007 as if I needed another autoimmune condition, but non the less, I am pain free and it feels darn good!

A lady who joined Melaleuca at a meeting said that her newborn was diagnosed with Asthma and was having attacks 8 10 times a day everyday...her friend told her about Melaleuca and she joined right away. She gave her son a half capsule of the ProvexCV in his bottle and she said that her son hadn't had an attack since that day.

The ProvexCV products are my products of choice and now that I am over the hill at age 51, I look like I'm 35, because ProvexCV is also known as a Miracle in a Bottle and the Fountain of Youth, lol.

My vascular doctor is so intrigued with my veins and arteries and after I explained how and why they are healthy and not damaged at all, he was all too excited to get the information and learn all about Melaleuca.

Another fav product is their Melaleuca Tea Tree Oil it truly works

One last thing, before I joined Melaleuca I was always going to the doctor office because of some illness especially migraines or this or that, and when I had my children who were C-Section they always caught whatever everyone else had. After I joined Melaleuca and started using their products and giving the ProvexCV, Provex Plus (Super Antioxidant) and Provex Antioxidant, we literally stopped having to go to the doctors, what seemed like every week. My children and I had not been to the doctor in over a year, and when I had to take them to get their school physical, our doctor asked us where had his favorite family been? I told him "now that we use Melaleuca products, we have not had to be running back and forth to see him." He looked at me and said, "WELL STOP USING THOSE PRODUCT YOU'RE MAKING ME BROKE!" :))

Yeah, they really are that good and for your own life, invest n it you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Melaleuca believes in their products so strongly and the benefits thereof that they guarantee that if you do not feel better in 90 days of using their ProvexCV supplement bundle you will get all of your money back, now what vitamin company has an offer like that?
