It totally counts. Learning to trust yourself is a major psychological breakthrough - someday I hope to be as self-actualized as you.

I'm the last person you want to use as a role model. Following my example will surely lead to a path of self-destruction.

Or eating lots of junk food, whatever comes first.

I think some more men need to post smoking hot profile pictures in order to actually test Bob's theory.

There is a member who shows what looks like a picture of Tom Cruise at about age 28. This particular member has 67 reviews and 528 trusters. In turn, he trusts 159. I should mention that this particular member can be VERY outspoken, which tends to draw its own crowd of believers.

Not sure what that the numbers show but it would be interesting to see how many trusters this particular member would have if he posted a mugshot of the neighborhood wino.

RE: 100 Trusts

Hmmm, I wrote 390 reviews as of November 21, 2006, the day our own Opera Reviewer extraordinaire smorg added me to his WOT, making it an even 100.

Bob... if you have said shot of a wino, I'll gladly replace my own picture with it. Then we'll see how an average picture of a gal vs. a picture of the neighborhood drunk will fare.

lol

I for one, vote that you keep your pretty smile there and against replacing it with a photo of a wino.

It worked!!!

Quote: Ulfson
My gods... the hotness... it compels me to hit the trust button!... no, must... resist... the hotness!

Heh, heh... The Hotness was indeed too hot to hang around my Profile Page for long, mate. My cat was starting to look at me funny, so I traded hot Nathan Gunn in for the equally hot Vesselina Kasarova instead... ;o)

Quote: joyfulgirl91
This is illustrating an important point in lust-list building: the hot user pic need not be of you. I have seen a photo of Smorg and know he is not Nathan Gunn, yet the picture of Nathan Gunn is putting me over the edge to click that trust button. Nicely done, mate.

Thanks, Jessica. ;o) Old Smorg isn't quite as hot... but has a bit more hair than The Baritone... Would put my pic on the page, but then I don't want to get community blocked. ;oP

SmorgWillTrustCElvisdoIfHePromisesToNeverPutBenAfflectOnHisProfilPage 8o) ...Oh, wait a minute, I've already trusted C a long time ago... Drat! Gotta find some new leverages.

Holy cow, pretty interesting numbers indeed, Bob.

Hey, I didn't even realize that, Mark. Cool thing. Drinking ya' a belated toast with Fitz's finest orange soda all the way from San Diego! :o) Prost!!

Smorgy.... always looking for a good excuse to open another bottle of Fitz's... ;o)

Let me get this straight. You are going to replace your current great pic with that of an average gal?

Your general theory is absolutely correct, IMHO.

I remember the 'beautiful woman' being politely 'peeved', in a private e-mail exchange, that I had not trusted her yet. I will not say that the attention from such a beautiful creature was not welcomed, or tempting. But she simply seemed a bit . . .'too good to be true'. Not that it was particularly prescient of me to be cautious there ...all the 'hot user-pics' on the site know I am slow to trust them, less the same trap be sprung.
.
.
.
Wait . . .I think I just mildly insulted all the 'hot user-pics' I do trust . . .!!

When will I learn to keep my mouth shut..?!?

What! Are you saying you can't trust my hot black cats anymore? They'll come scratch your eyes out in the middle of the night.

Gawd . . .I really am culturally ignorant. I had no idea that was a young Cruise.

In his case, I believe the attitude, the time on the site when he was active, and the . . .'causes' he championed weigh more heavily than a 'pretty face'. IMHO.

Maybe he has a second account, something like Odsivle, which he uses to revenge rate and block himself.

Actually, it's quite easy but I don't know if it still works. You need to sign out of your account and then go to your profile page. Hit the trust button and it will ask you to sign back in. You should then see your name on your own WOT.

And yes, I do subscribe to my own reviews as well. It's weird to see where I end up on that list, usually near the end with PattyTherre and threester. At least I know I'm coming to the end of the list when I see those names. LOL

Well I want to know why I am at the end!

I wonder of they compile that list and have a cut off time since both Ryan and I write late at night. I am often in mid review when my alerts come.

Are you a later night writer too?

Patty - who wants to be at the top of the list!

Sometimes I write late, late at night but I haven't done so recently, and I'm still near the bottom regardless. Here's the kicker: whenever your sister writes a review, she is number one my alerts without fail. I used to think it went in alphabetical order, but even that would make too much sense.

I'm a bit late to the party here, but I had 64 reviews, in January 2007, when I crossed the 100 mark.

I crashed the party earlier but without bringing a small gift. How rude was that?!

I picked up my 100th Trust about 11 months after joining. At the time I had about 160 reviews posted.

And of all people, Phil! You're the expert when it comes to parties, right? Couldn't you have at least brought a few bagels, or something?
