RE: ILO Walmart Class Action anyone?

I have had my ilo TV for about a year, and it only worked for a couple of months. The only button that works is the power button on the remote. The buttons on the TV don't even work. It is the biggest POS I have ever purchased. What a rip off. I am absolutely ready for a class action lawsuit. I atleast want $$$ to be able to purchase a new usable TV.

RE: ILO Walmart Class Action anyone?

I'm in for a lawsuit. After three months my buttons stopped working as well. Dealing with wal-mart to resolve the problem is a big hassle. I did get my tv repaired, but I had to ship it half way across the country at my cost, not mention being without my $900 tv for 3 weeks. I'm very dissatisfied with wal-marts return policy. and the poor level of customer service I received regarding this matter. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ELECTRONIC FROM WAL-MART FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!!! let me know whats up with the lawsuit dkadams06@mchsi.com

RE: ILO Walmart Class Action anyone?

I would be very interested in a class action regarding the ILO brand. We purchased a 26" about a year ago and the remote stopped working about one month ago. We keep it in our bedroom and it is only used by adults so it has never been abused. What a joke and now I keep reading about the amount of problems and the lack of resolve on WalMart's part. Sign me up and let me know what's needed to do. All I want is a television that works with the remote. If the remote doesn't last, at least supply me with a universal code which ILO doesn't publish.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: If anyone ever files a law suit

Just called them, Imagine, They have never heard of the problem, that was the first time (just like one of the previous poster said) huh, funny. Well, we will pay for the parts and you have to pay for the labor! that was the resolution. NOT!

RE: If anyone ever files a law suit

They're lying to you. They are well aware of the problem. We sent our 26" back TWICE now! Same problem both times. The first time they didn't even put the TV back together properly. They lied and told us "home office" will contact us. They lied and told us they'd replace the TV if it wasn't fixed the SECOND time. NOW THEY CLAIM THEY DON'T HAVE RECORDS OF OUR PHONE CALLS TO THE COMPANY. They are crooks. Where's the class-action lawsuit?

iLo problems (China & Wal-Mart)

I just posted a request to Robin at CNN.com asking them to run a spot about how China is using Wal-Mart to steal money from unsuspecting American consumers through the sell of worthless electronics. From an engineering standpoint it looks like this... iLo builds 32" televisions (cost = $79 each) selling at Wal-Mart for $329.00. Making $250 for each one. Then they don't honor their return policy. If we apply that to 3000 sets we come to the conclusion that they are making $987,000. After this consumers will required to spend another $987,000 buying another television (likely place of production = China). Therefore, by selling an American a bad television they are making $658.00 per television or approx. 2 million per 3000 sets. It's an incredibly sweet deal for them. They make millions and no one is to blame for not being responsible for their products. I think that we are on the wrong side of the ocean. Oh how nice it would be to have politicians who actually protected us. That would really be nice. Just make a small law that if you sell something in the US, you have to make a small deposit. A small superfund to repair things for Americans if your company goes tango-uniform. As smart as our congress people are, and since they've given all of our jobs away. You'd think that they could make sure that we get the best buy for our bucks.

RE: ILO Walmart Class Action anyone?

You're right, no one can fix it including the company itself. Like I said, TWICE now we've sent it back. The first time they didn't even put the TV back together properly. Someone needs to figure out how to start a class action lawsuit. We've all been ripped off a ton of money. There's tons of threads on the net about this company. To the above poster, your TV lasted longer than anyone else's.

ilo tv

I bought a ilo tv and I agree with everyone else that it is the worst tv ever. My tv has only lasted a year. I bought a two year warranty with it, but it has to be sent to New York to be fixed. It does not work at all. At first the volume went out now I can't even turn on the tv. My son bought one too. He has no sound. I would be interested in a lawsuit. These tv's are junk.

ILO TV company can't fix

Good luck getting it fixed. I hope you have success, cuz I've experienced the same problems both times when they return my TV.

RE: Walmart iLo garbage?

I am sitting here looking at one of the pieces of junk you are talking about. It reads cd's but not DVD's. I tried to take it back but it was more than three weeks old, then it was not serviced anymore, so I decided to buy another and take this one back... No longer stock the item. I have lost the remote or I would search for the self distruct sequence. I can give sympathy, but little else. I wonder idf there are enough for a class action? Soesn't take that many. Worked on the Panasonic DVD player I bought that quit. I guess I just pick the loosers and that one was $650. Not a piece of Walmart junk. As to the naysayers, If you purchase something you expect it to work. As for Ebay, I buy and sell there a lot and you find a lot of Walmart type things there too. Ever get a dud on Ebay and try to get it replaced?.

RE: ILO repair

Interestingly enough, I also had an apex dvd player. It would play dvd's but not CD's. I still have it right under my ILO DVD recorder that will not read or write to DYD but loves CD's. Aint that a hoot. Wally said neither could be fixed. Lost the remotes to both and can't get any of the universals to work either. Deal me in on the class action. When we are done with that, how about Sony 8mm camcorders? Anyone got one that still works? I have 6 that don't. Seems the capacitors they used on the stepper motor controllers break down and cost about a yard and a half to replace. What the hell happened to quality?

Still an issue?

I just purchased an Ilo 27 inch TV for my kids for Christmas, but now I feel like I should take it back today. It's still unopened and I bought the extended 2 yr warranty. I thought this meant that I could return it back to Walmart if there are any problems. If I cant do that, I'm taking it back today.
