RE: iLo Walmart Garbage
I got my tv apart but did not find a fuse that I recognized. Is it in the power supply area with all the heat sinks? If so is it in the section close to the right side (if looking from the back) or is it in the center area?
I found writing stating that you need to use an identical fuse but was not able to distinguish. Please help.
The TV works but I can't adjust anything. I can turn it on and off. It is in the composite mode. no adjustments of any kind It doesn't look like a bad board but I guess it could be. I have had the TV about 2 years. Lost the TV Preview guide along time ago. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I want results now!!
I purchased a ilo TV also from walmart and it shut down on me all of a sudden. I purchased the tv as a christmas present to me and its not working now at all. I'm not letting anyone take money from me like this especially, WALMART!! If I don't get the proper answers very shortly, I will be seeking an attorney to start a class action suit. This is a promise!! Times are much to hard for me to let this go unattended.
If you are reading this message, I will be starting a blog soon unless I get the proper services from the dealer, WALMART and/or from their wholesale distributors who are located in California.

RE: We have the same problem as above
Ilo, Ilo, Ilo... I bought this 32 in TV from Walmart one night after I had saved up enough money to get one. I plugged it up and 3 weeks later I had to exchange it cause it didn't work properly. I had to drive an hour an a half to get this new tv of after 6 months of playing has finally died as well. Does anyone know of a good attorney for this type of thing? I have been on the sites now trying to see if I can get the tv fixed or have wal-mart exchange it. To no aveil, I have not. Now the tv just sits here. Can't move it cause it's too big for me to handle. I really wished I had not spent my hard earned money to getting this TV. Next time I'm gonna check the site, pay a little more, and NOT SHOP AT WAL-MART!!! |

the ILO problem again
I envy any of you who have enough expertise and energy to take the computer apart and put in new boards, card, fuses etc.
I am an 80 year old woman who is at the mercy of Wal-mart or a class action suit. My ILO 32"HD is 26 months old. I always thought it was a wonderful, clear TV. Guess what, it too turned itself "OFF" and cannot be started again. I will try some of the suggestions written here. No luck at the local Wal-mart. Let me know if a class action suit is started or any other advice would be appreciated. |

interesting situation
Amazing how many people have had problems. iLo 3200 purchased in November 2005 still working here. Watching it at this moment. Only problem I've had with it is the clock has never kept time since the day I bought it. This was never of enough concern to return the set, and at the time it was common for a panel this big to have quite a few dead pixels. Here we are however. Honestly looks nearly as good as a TV bought today, if not better, TVs of this size have been plagued by uneven backlighting in recent times. What I've determined in my research is that most of the problems surfaced after the 2600 and 3200, I think they use different control boards (the menus of the 3200 look like Samsungs of the era), afterwards they change in style, and the subsequent sets were the ones with the problems. I'm going to guess the lucky few who bought the early sets are still going strong, the not so lucky ones were not so lucky. |

RE: ILO Walmart Class Action anyone?
I would love to get in a class action also, this is junk and they know that they were having issues with them and still sold them anyway. Even after mine went out and I could not get them to take it back just to see what they would say I went and was looking at them like I wanted a new one. I ask how they were and every person there told me "I have never had even one problem reported, there great" Liars....There has to be someone that reads this that is a lawer and will take it on. Im in for sure. |

Walmarts ILO TV
I bought an ILo television from Walmart in February it is only July and the Television just went black, the TV comes on and off but no picture its as if the Tube has blown. I can not believe Walmart would sell such Garbarge to people and then not refund their money if their products fail. I will no longer shop there if they do not refund my money, I have no money for another Television at this time. Please someone help us file a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. |

Ilo tv sets
All this whining about ILO tv sets and how junky they are.... well?...... WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?
You buy cheap CHINESE JUNK and expect it to LAST?
Hasn't the dog food/lead childrens toys/AND GOD KNOWS ALL THE OTHER CHINESE JUNK wised ANYone up yet?
I fix tvs for a living, I know my trade well.
You people will never get those "class action" suits going.... the chinese are already laughing at you fools.
They've got your money, you got their JUNK.
Next time you think about "getting a bargain" at Walmart or any other place, expect to get a slap in the face down the road when that crap breaks down.
Spend some of that hard-earned American Money on a worthy product that IF it breaks, us technicians here IN THE USA can repair.
Keep the money in the STATES.
Now, tell me I'm full of crap. |

How to get back at Walmart for selling ILO 32" Crap
Very simple now that we all know that we have been screwed by Walmart and Ilo. I paid $850 for the Ilo 32" and it lasted 13 months.
SIMPLE SOLUTION:
Buy a new TV from Walmart, save receipt, return after 89 days (not one day late!)
Their return policy is for 90 days (confirm at your local Walmart), so buy a TV and return if after 89 days.
Here's the important part:
REPEAT PROCESS EVERY 89 DAYS!!
SCREW THEM! THEY SCREWED US!
FIGHT BACK! |

My ILO TV
I have one of these ILO tv’s from Wal-Mart. Mine is a DTV2794B and today, it started shutting its self off for no apparent reason. So, I decided to do some testing and collect some facts about this little anomaly.
Here is what I found:
A. The TV shuts down exactly 1:17 (1 minute, 17 seconds) after power on. That’s from the time I can see a picture, until the picture disappears. It doesn’t matter if the TV is cold or warm. (Turned it on after shut down 10 times using a stop watch, and then let it cool for 1 hour and repeated test.)
B. This is not a power fluctuation problem. I connected the TV to a voltage regulator, where I could monitor the voltage and current, and at no time do those 2 variables change. Well, at least not the voltage. The current fluctuates slightly as would be expected. I also tried plugging it into the back of my cable box, as well as the outlet directly with no change.
C. I tried these tests with the “Auto Shut Down” feature in the menu both on and off with no difference. (What’s that feature for again? Hmmm)
D. I tried it with sleep mode on at all intervals between 10 seconds and 1 hour with no difference except that at each instance of powering off the sleep mode resets to 0 after power on. (This may be the issue. It’s possible the sleep function is malfunctioning though this fact is not conclusive. It resets if I turn it off manually as well.)
So without opening the TV at all, (Something I’m loathing to do for this hunk of junk,) I was able to draw some interesting conclusions and I didn’t like any of them. At best, Wal-Mart has an unreliable piece of horse dung that has a serious design flaw from what I can see. At worst this TV could have possibly been designed to do exactly what it’s doing. You see, it’s about 2 months past the warranty date. Isn’t that interesting?
It could just be this particular TV has a malfunctioning chip in it, and it could be one in a million for all I know, and if that is the case, then so be it.
However, I thought that if YOU were having this problem with YOUR ILO TV, you could put a stop watch to it and just see how long it stays on. Anywhere near 1:10 to 1:20 and this could be a sign of a serious problem. Especially if your unit is just past the warranty time. |

ILO 32HD
I have had my ILO 32HD since 2006 without any problems. The only thing I did not like about it was the remote. Now I am trying to program the cable remote to it and cannot find the code. The code in the manual for the cable that it gives is 055 and that does not work. Anyone know anymore remote codes for the ILO???? |

Model DTV2794B
Purchased in Dec. 08 as a gift. TV was unplugged in June while our son was at Basic Training, returned in Oct. plugged back in and now has no picture. Is still covered under manufacture warranty but cannot get a response back from company. I know we are to blame because this is not the first item from walmart to turn out like this. If it plugs in and its from walmart its gonna be junk. Bottom line!!!! |

ILO tv
Our ilo tv has stopped working. We have contacted Walmart numerous times via the 1-800 number. Unfortunately, we are getting the proverbial run around. I have called the district representative Mr. Gillipse in Illinois, still I have not been compensated for our lost. The tv was purchased about 24 months ago. It malfunction to no fault of our own. It became increasingly hot and went off, never to come on again. It is beyond belief that Walmart has not recalled this product or have a procedure in place to compensate patrons for such an inept product. Moreover, the product is dangerous. It's possible that it could have caught on fire. There are ilo tvs out there in peoples homes that will malfunction violently. Walmart must do something! |
