Grease Bullet Cleaner

Hello! I am just wondering has anyone tried the
"Grease Bullet" cleaner tablets?????

I saw an ad on tv and there are several outlets
on the Internet that sells this cleaning product.

Supposedly all you do is dissolve a tablet (made
from some type of enzymes) in hot water, put your
worst greased cookware/bakeware in it and ....
magically it becomes new again. All the grease is gone!
Absolutely NO SCRUBBING required!!!!

So, anyone tried this???? Does it WORK ???

On the internet, they
are sold for $10 + $6 s/h for 12 tablets.

Thank you!

No, I haven't even seen the ads for this product. Although it sounds good, I think it sounds pretty expensive.

Have you tried them? Also, who is the manufacturer?

Let us know. Thanks,

Lorace

Didn't work for me!

I bought them. Had the baked on mess in the under-burner pans on my stove, and NOTHING came off.

Now is the work to see about a refund.

Sorry!

That's what we needed to know, Jim.

It will keep me from trying them, that's for sure.

Greast Bullett- what a scam!!!!

Don't waste your money!!! I think it is just expense alka-selzer!!! You don't need gloves, cause it doesn't do anything. I tried the "bullet" every which way- even boiled the water to get it hot enough. What a scam!!! if you get stuck, contact the BBB in Van Nuys, CA.

RE: BBB Info

I noticed that we have a spot on Epinions for this Grease Bullet, and I'd like to encourage you all to write a review on it. Many people will read it there and the story needs to be told.

There's only one review there now - so we need to hear what you have to say about it on Epinions.

Thanks,

Au contraire, 'Ace. There have been 1,375 hits (and counting) on this thread. That means more than a few people out there are searching on "Grease Bullet" and finding this on Epinions. Good for us and them!

Edit: Sure enough, I searched for "grease bullet" on Google and this thread is the third link, just one away from the company itself.

Thanks, Bob. I see this morning it is 1579 hits! I was looking at the wrong column, the replies. This is really amazing, considering everything.

RE: Grease Bullet Cleaner

I got sucked in by the slick marketing.
I bought THREE of them because the shipping cost was the same for one or ten.

This stuff doesn't even TRY to do anything that it is advertised to do. NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH.
Doesn't even touch NEW grease!

The people that are selling this crap have to be laughing their rears off.

RE: Grease Bullet Cleaner

It's junk--unfortunately. I had really hoped to avoid scouring and would have paid almost anything. But after trying it twice on two pans that were not anywhere near as dirty as they show in their ads--I'm disappointed to say the least. Not one speck of grease was dislodged. Nothing!!!!

Grease Bullet - It does work

I just bought it at Linen N Things. I had one pan with really baked on junk and of course couldn't scrub it off. So I followed the instructions. It says for really baked on items add 1 extra tablet and soak overnight. Well I added 2 extra and soaked it for 2 nights. I put HOT water in the pan with 2 tablets. Every once and a while I turned on the stove to heat up the water again.

I'll tell you that it did get the pan almost spotless. If I had left it for one more night it all would have been gone.

It does work, but MUCH slower then advertised and you need to use extra tablets and HOT water.

If you have a really nice or expensive pan you can't clean and don't want to get rid of I say use double what they say for a few days. It'll work, eventually.

RE: Grease Bullet - It does work

Well, that's encouraging news. Thanks for letting us know.

That's better than another product I used on a good pan and it took all the teflon non-stick lining out of it and completely ruined my pan - and it was an expensive one.

Was yours non-stick?

Thanks
Lorace

RE: Grease Bullet Cleaner

Speaking from personal experience I would have to say that 10 grease bullet capsules in one sink full of water are less than equal to one off brand steel wool soap pad. Spend a buck and a half for a box of SOS and forget the bullet that has proven to be a bomb.

Sadly, a rip off. Bought and tried so excited that my ugly pans can be new....NOT. Didn't work...at all, should have applied the $10 towards new pans. I am such a sucker and will try just about anything. How disappointing.

Grease bullet SCAM

I bought one from Bed Bath and Beyond for $9.99 and it is worthless. I tried cleaning the drip pans from my stove and soked them for a full 48 hours with little to no results and I used 2 tablets instead of just one. By the way, if you read the packaging, in microscopic letters at the bottom it states that results pictured on the packaging are "dramatized".

Silver Lightning?

I'm just wondering about the Silver Lightning, that OTHER cleaning product that comes with GB in a special TV offer? They say it can remove years of tarnish and get your silver sparkling clean again. Does it work?

They worked at least for the most part...

I got them on clearance at my local grocery store. I set my oven racks and my stove grates soak yesterday while I was working and yeah I still had to do a bit of scrubbing for the most part it worked.

I am trying my grill grates today.

I wasn't going into it expecting anything but it seems to have worked for the most part on what I did.

Thanks for the info. I use a "Bounce Sheet", just put water in pot,pan dish, whatever and drop in a half a Bounce, Downey sheet and let it sit for a couple of hours. Then wipe out dirty dish pan ect with the sheet. Presto it will be clean.

Grease Bullet DOES work!

I realize that this is a bit old, having been up here since '06. But, I have been using Grease Bullet faithfully since it came out: each and every time I have excellent results.

The first thing that I cleaned with it was a crummy-looking grill pan that goes on top of my gas stove's burners. Nothing -- and I mean NOTHING -- would budge the burned-on crap from all the grilling I'd done! Then I saw an infomercial for Grease Bullet, ignored it awhile, and then saw the stuff in a store somewhere. Well, when I saw it in the store I decided to try it. Now mind you, I didn't follow the instructions to the letter. But -- damned if that pan didn't come out clean! The water it was in was a murky black. The pan wasn't sparkly like in the commercial, but still it was CLEAN. Next, I tried it on a coffeepot that had lots of residue in the bottom that even my Dad's "Efferdent" tablets wouldn't budge. Well, BAM! it got rid of that gunk as well, with just a slight bit of scrubbing. Long and short of this is: if you can get the stuff without having to pay shipping and don't expect miracles, it'll work perfectly!

RE: Grease Bullet DOES NOT work!

Well I must of a got a bad bunch, because this stuff is pretty worthless. After trying it out on my brand new grill, I still had to get out the cleanser and a wire brush. If you see these TV demonstrations, they must have caked a latex paint that looks like grease on a teflon pan, because this stuff doesn't do anything but suds up like cheap laundry detergent. Don't waste the time or money on this rip off!

RE: Grease Bullet DOES NOT work!

You are so correct! Not only does it not work, I returned it 3 days later to exercise their 30 day refund policy and I have still not heard from them!! I returned them by registered mail, they did sign for them, and NADA! Still no refund to my account. This began April 26, 2008. I am notifying all companies that are selling the product so hopefully they will not wish to have their name associated with the product.

RE: GREASE BULLET

This is old news to you & I hate to remind you of your rip off again!! I also fell for it and you are correct. It does not work. To make matters worse, I returned the product USPS Registered mail (spending an additional $6.05) They did sign for and receive the return within 6-8 days and they have never refunded my $9.99 as they state they will. I am doing as much as possible to keep anyone else from getting ripped off. Grease Bullet received the return on 05/05/08 @ 11;30 a.m. per USPS and still no refund!!
