I am looking at purchaseing Bevrly Hills, MElrose and California Dreams from tvboxset.com as they have the complete series available. I have also seen Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place complete series available on ultimatedvdshop.com. Has anyone bought from either of these 2 sites. I am in Australia and I have never purchased from internet shopping before and wanted to get some feedack before I order. Thanks.

Be careful - My order has not arrived (placed in April)
At first they emailed me back delay due to damage.
I was then given a tracking number from Cananda Post.
Since that point I can not get a return call or email.
FYI Canada Post only deals with shipper when packages
can not be located.

I ordered the complete series of Twin Peaks & Ally McBeal about a month ago.

Twin Peaks never arrived. I've since disputed the charge with my credit card company & have been reimbursed.

I received an email regarding Ally McBeal (not Twin Peaks) stating that while my credit card had been charged, due to a problem with TVBoxset's charge account they were unable to process my order & would have to cancel it. They advised me to go through my credit card company to get my money back.

And then Ally McBeal arrived last week. It looks like someone burned these DVDs at home & they couldn't even be bothered to center the generic white sticker labels on the discs or even squeeze out the air bubbles.

Additionally, the DVDs are glitchy, forcing me to have to skip over sections or even the rest of the DVD.

I'm very, very disappointed. And... I have a feeling this stuff is not legal, & if TVBoxset is putting out this kind of product & service someone is eventually going to call a lawyer. Place your order with this company at your own risk. They may not be there next week.

They are illegal bootleggers engaged in seriously unlawful conduct which may include: violation of US and international copyright laws, criminal fraud, postal fraud in the US and Canada, customs violations related to underreporting the value of the goods that they are shipping. Bootleggers are thieves. When they send a bootleg copy to you, and if you use it, then you too are a thief. Intellectual property is property pure and simple.

I found out the hard way - I ordered several hundred dollars worth of material and received it and was horrified that this seemingly legitimate website was in fact a sham - I have contacted the US Postal Inspectors and the RCMP. I hope that these criminals are caught and spend the next decade in jail reconsidering what they did. I am holding onto the DVDs in case the RCMP need them as evidence.

I also ordered $135 worth of DVDs and they never arrived. I called the credit card company and had to have the charges removed. I contacted TVBoxSet.com three times about the delays--and every time there was an excuse (a holiday caused the delay, there was a change in the Canadian postal requirements, computer was down, etc.) They ACT very "helpful" when you complain via email but they don't deliver as promised!

I ordered the Hawaiian Eye TV Series on DVD on July 9 and got an e-mail back saying they would be delivered between July 25-28 and it is now August 5 and I still haven't received them. I wrote them an e-mail on Monday July 30th and have not heard back from them. Save your money and buy from a reputable website.

I purchased a box set of the complete "The Rifleman" tv series from TVBOXSET.COM. When I received it, I could tell that it had been pirated. I had the charge reversed on my creidt card on the basis of fraud. I don't know if DVDIGNITER.COM is the same outfit, but the lack of any phone numbers and/or "brick and mortar" location information would suggest a high probability of future problems.

I tried to log onto that igniter site and it wasn't available. Since I have the same problem with TVBoxset, there is a possibility that they are connected. I was burned by TVB, you can read my 2 reviews on this site.

I recently made a purchase for Get Smart DVD set on 7/16/07 and the merchandise never arrived! I can't even access their website and there's no contact number on their confirmation emails. I tried emailing to dvdsupport@tvboxset.com and never received a reply. I am very upset and wished that I did some research into the online company before making the purchase! Please, please...research before buying! I contacted my credit card company and they said they've received several complaints from SXR or Garcia Media Group. The charges was made on my card and is now in dispute.

I purchased the beverly hills 90210 set and I didn't receive it. Ithought it was a scam, but then I got an e-mail from them telling me that there was some kind of shipping delay.

I got my package on Friday, and I'm very happy with it.

I would avoid these people at all costs. I have had an order pending with them for two months, with no resolution so far. They have claimed to have shipped twice. They debited my credit card before the first shipment. As a Canadian company, they do not have to follow the same laws as in the US.

They are listed as the Garcia Group, or SXR Tradeshow and Conference Solutions Inc. I have received Emails from both.

I am from australia and have had a bad experience with this company too!

I ordered The Love Boat and all up it cost me AUD$219.00. It was supposed to be shipped 2 weeks ago - I am still waiting for the shipping confirmation email. I had to email tvboxset about 6 times before they replied and said that they would contact Canada Post to lodge a claim. Two weeks went by without a single response from them. Yesterday emailed them again 2 times finally got a reply. They will file a claim and their shipping dept will get back to me. Yea right. I emailed again today about 6 times and nothing. I am going to lodge a dispute with my credit card company tomorrow morning. DO NOT USE THIS SCAMMING WEBSITE. WARNING TO ALL. I'm very disappointed as I have been waiting for the love boat to come out on dvd for about a year now.

My wife wanted to surprise me for Father's Day. She did some shopping on the internet for 'Get Smart DVD Complete Series' and found the best price at TVBoxset.com.

The DVD's arrived within a few weeks. The mailing label referenced the DVD's as Exercise DVDs with the title Get Smart cleaverly included. I think it said something like 'Get Smart and Excecise'

The DVDs Covers were terrible photo copies made from the Time Warner originals and even included the Time Warner logo. The person using the scissor to cut them out couldn't even cut a straight line.

The DVD's themselves were plain white labels with simple writing like 'Get Smart Disc 1'. Basically, it was your cheap CD/DVD NEATO Label that someone ran through an inkjet printer.

When you played the DVD, the first thing you saw was the Time Warner/Warner Brother's Logo.

I was surprised! How can they get away with this?

We contacted them via email for a refund, because that is the only way to contact them...

as for dvd igniter i order several items them them all of sudden the website disappear. i call the number its goes to DVD Avenue try to call several time got put on hold then disconnect. there are several website that has the
same design and product with same telephone number. try to talk to several time no anwser.

for what its worth, when you chase them down, some of the emails saying that they have shipping problems come from SXR Tradeshow and Conference Solutions Inc. of Montreal.

I expect that they are associated in some way.

I had ordered a set of the Six Million dollar man from tvboxset. And although it was late I did receive it in good condition. I have not been able to find it anywhere else and if ever I can buy it on Amazon or something like that I would,
however tvboxset was one a small few who had it available, I think that this kind of bashing is a little bit of overkill.

I'am sorry to hear that you all are having problems with that website. I have ordered 3 DVD boxsets from superbdvdsets.com and I got my order within 10 days. The DVD boxset are authentic imports and comes as pictured on the website. And they wasn't no cheap copies either. Very high quality authentic items. I plan to buy more in the future probably near christmas. I must say I was very impressed with superbdvdsets.com Just thought I would let you all know after reading all these post.

I order about $400 worth of dvd box sets back in the last week of June. When I didn't get my order on time, I tried to call them. There is no number at their web site. So I used their web site help. I received back a message saying that there was delay because of the holiday 4 July 07 and my order had to be redone and resent out and ensured me that my order would be on its way. Still nothing. I am contacting my lawyer Monday.

I have also had a bad experience with this company. I ordered a DVD set of Hart to Hart on 7/29/07. I received an email to confirm my purchase and that my CC would be billed for the cost plus shipping. The email also listed a timeline that stated the delivery should be Aug 4-6, 2007. Well, that date came and went and I checked the tracking number and it stated that the delivery had been processed. I email CanadaPost to question where the shipment was and they responded that I should contact the seller. CanadaPost also informed me that the company was not reputable and they had numerous complaints and problems with them. I provided me with a weblink to the BBB and also the Canadian authorities to file a complaint.
Well I went to tvboxset.com and clicked on the contact button and emailed them about not receiving my shipment and that they had already received their payment.
On 8/16/07 they responded that they had shipping problems with a number of orders and listed the order numbers - my order number was in the mix. They apologized for the delay and said the order would be received shortly. They even stated that due to the delay, I would receive a 40% discount coupon for my next order. Well, I finally received my order 8/29/07. It was a lousy copy from TV, the DVDs #6 and #7 did not have the episodes stated on the box (6 was a repeat of 5). I sent at least three more emails to the company to state my dissatisfaction and have received no reply. I am returning the product and enclosing the emails plus a copy of the homepage that states 100% satisfaction guarantee.
This company is the biggest rip off. I had planned to order other DVDs from them - But not anymore.

I have also had problems with this company. I ordered $200 worth of dvd's that I was due to receive mid August and still have not. I have called and left messages (no live person to talk to....HUGE red flag!) and have received one email saying it must have been lost in shipping (though I never received the tracking number like they say in their shipping statement) and they go on to say someone would get back to me. I to have had a problem with this so called company. I tried to purchase the entire 9 season box set of Dynasty on July 1st. Its now August14 and still no product. I have recieved 4 emails from them over this time reguarding the shipment details of my purchase. The first two were to confirm that the product had been sent then the last two were excuses as to why I had not recieved the box set. Apparently there had been a shipment error and the entire shipment order had been sent back to them for reissuing.I live in Australia and and understand the product is comming from Canada or the US but two and a half months is rediculous. I have since alerted my credit card company to this and i am in the process of trying to cancell the transaction and reclaim my 240 dollars as well as cancelling the card and having it reissued to me under a new account as these criminals have my credit card details on their system. I urge all people who have used this company to do the same. We only have a three month window of time to make a claim and retrive our money.Also my biggest lesson is always always always check out the company first before making any transactions with them. It is so easy to do so all you need to do is google the company name. Also for any one buying rare tv or movie dvds if its not on Amazon or available on ebay it proberbly is a bootleg copy and not worth the disc its burnt onto and most importantly its dirty goods and against the law.

I reluctantly admit being a victim of this scam. I am about to call my credit card company to have this charge reversed, but I am wondering if I should also have the card cancelled, as these people may also be credit card or identity thieves. Consider...they have your credit card number and they also have your name, address, and phone number.

I notice that one of the perps is posting here with a contact email--another of their delaying tactics, probably intended to stall past the CC company's 60 time limit. I also see two obviously bogus posts praising the company. Give me a break!

I was scammed by them too. The Montreal Gazette just ran an expose of them, in the Aug. 23, 2007 issue.

I tried filing a complaint with the Quebec Consumer Protection Bureau, but Quebec law deems internet purchases to be contracts signed at the place of the purchaser, so I can't file a complaint, since I don't live in Que. I have filed a complaint at www.ftc.gov, and requested a chargeback from VISA.

I'm also going to contact the RCMP, and Interpol (the international policing agency, which handles cross-border crimes) about these scammers. Then I'm going to contact some more media outlets. The more people come out to expose these scammers, the better chance we have of putting them out of business.

Enough said. I too have filed a complaint and I have emailed SXR Tradeshow & Conference Solutions Inc.To give them 10 days to refund my payment or I will be taking legal action. The more complaints filed against them, the better, and any one who has paid with a card, please cancel with immediate affect. I will take this all the way untill they are closed down.

Please don't get fooled by TV Box Set as I did. Do NOT order from this company. They are a fraud and send damaged DVD's (if you receive them at all). I purchased a complete set of Ally McBeal this summer and aside from waiting a long time and paying over $120 USD, the set I received was in terrible condition. Most of the DVD's are grainy and some of the episodes are recorded so poorly that they will not play at all.

Don't let yourself be ripped off. Do not do business with this company. I wished I had thought to check their validity, since there is information all over the web about them. The name of the company is Garcia Media Group or SXR.CA.

I just ordered the Perfect Straingers series on DVD from a website called DVDcollections.com. Mine were copied versions too and I've e-mailed them telling them I want a full refund back and I got the same e-mail today that you got from TVboxset.com. It even had Jeff Jacob as the name on the bottom. I guess I have been scammed too.

How can a claim be filed? I ordered from them in July, got the "shipping delay" excuse and further requests have gone unanswered. Fortunately my purchase was only $65, but I would like to file a claim.

I'm not sure about filing a claim. I'm thinking of contacting a US Postal inspector to see what to do with the goods that I did receive. I called and cancelled my credit card and am disputing the charge for Perfect strangers series. I ordered the Get Smart series in July, its now the 17th of Oct and I have just found all of these 'scam' alerts!

So I contacted my bank today and have lodged a dispute, just so residents of OZ know that the rule here is we can claim up to 90 days from the arranged shipment date, I have read here that you only have 60 days from purchase date, with all of their stalling tactics this would have taken me close to the cut off.

So they (TVBOXSETS) told me 3-4 weeks from July so I have 90 days from August to logdge the dispute, which I have. My bank contacts their bank and gets the fund back off them, it could take 6-8 weeks but at least I get my money back from these crooks!

Oh and I have had the same emails from them, first the automated ones, then another stating shipping problems.

Bbenson, you could try getting your credit card company to reverse the charge if you paid by credit card. You can also lodge a complaint with ripoffreport.com and you can contact you attorney general in your state. I did that and was told to report the pirated goods to the FBI and they gave me the number to call.

DO NOT buy from these people! We purchased a he-man box set worth around $115 back in August and never received the product. We have been trying to contact them ever since and heard nothing back. I had an identical problem to the ones people are posting on here in July when I ordered the Transformers TV series on DVD. Here's how I got my money back...

First of all, they sent me a phony tracking number that did not work on Canada Post's site and the package never arrived. When I e-mailed the company I never received a reply. I then started to read epinions and realized I was scammed and even if I got the product, I wouldn't want it.

I disputed the charges with my credit card company and then I immediately e-mailed the company telling them that is what I had done. Amazingly, they e-mailed me back telling me they had refunded my card (which did actually go through). I figure that me threatening them with contacting my credit card company compelled them to issue the refund, since the charges would have been charged back anyways.

I never received the DVD set, but I'm glad I didn't since it surely would have been a pirated set. This is the course of action I recommend for anyone who has been scammed by this site and the others like it. Even if you don't get a refund directly from the company, tell your credit card company that the goods were misrepresented and they will likely take the charges off your card. Good luck to those unfortunate individuals like myself who were scammed by the company.

I was also ripped off by this "company" and with information supplied in these posts I called the RCMP in Quebec, finally got the relevant person, and filed a complaint. Lo and behold! Got a call today (12/21/07) from the Montreal police and they tracked down and busted the guy! They have a list of people who have complained, including from this list, which I sent them, and will no doubt be asking for signed complaints soon. Dunno about getting any refunds, I think that is complicated, but they got him!

I purchased the complete 6 episodes of the original Police Squad. Not knowing it was available at my local Fry's. Anyway I only lost 20 bucks plus shipping and handling. I did receive the DVD's but as posted by others it was a bad DVD copy and packaging. Came real close to buying the Complete Get Smart collection for half the price of what others are selling it for. I'm now glad I didn't. I figured it was way too good to be true.

I TOO have been ripped off by these scammers. I ordered a TV series on DVD from them back in June 2007 and still have not received it. As a trusting individual I believed them when correspondence from the company told me that there were issues with the shipment and they would send a new package...and then they said the same thing again. Finally in October I tried to cancel the order and they told me to contact my credit card company because it would be easier to get my money back from THEM. Well, at first the CC company agreed and credited my account but then the CC company took the $89 back stating that they have a strict 60 day policy. Whoa!

This has been a learning experience for me! I will now no longer buy from ANY company that I am not already familiar with or has not been specially recommended by friends!

Yes, it was a costly mistake but- I'm glad I didn't buy more than ONE boxed set or I would be livid!

I have a Pay-Pal account so my daughter had me order the House dvd full 4 season set for what I think might be these same guys. They were happy to take my money and give me a conformation number and even an invoice number. Remember these were ordered the first week of Dec. and of corse they offered free shipping, I mean why not, because they never shipped them. The shut down their web site and closed their pay-pal account. We are just out $80.00. I could be wrong but I think the the web site was www.tvboxset.tv but it might have been a com site...

If you have money to give away you could always just give it to me, at least I would thank you for it. DONT GIVE IT TO THESES GUYS!!!

I too was ripped off to the tune of $243 dollars. I ordered in Dec. and have received nothing. I opened up a paypal acct. but I fear they no longer have one because the site is up andd running and the check out leads to amazon.com

They don't accept fedex or ups shipments because the address provided on this board is a P.O. Box. You can't send fedex or ups to post office boxes.

I feel a little nauseous.

Like everyone else on this site (which I had not seen before I bought from tvboxset.com) I purchased a boxset that never arrived until I disputed the charge with my credit card company and had them look into the company for fraud. TVboxset.com never replied to my calls or e-mails. After that, I was sent a package of BURNED BOOTLEG dvds. In order to get my refund, I had to spend $25 to send the dvds back to Canada or the UK (I've forgotten since the ordeal). I tried reporting them to the Better Business Bureau but ran into speedbumps due to their location outside of the U.S. and the fact that they are a website business. I did end up reporting them to someone, but I can see that nothing has been done because the website is still up and running.
