www.bestpricecameras.com -- CHEATING!
I purchased an Infocus projector IN24 from your web site. The product link is as below: http://www.bestpricecameras.com/prodetails.aspx?prodid=640156# I received a call from their staff this morning.
Frist question, asked me to buy a case, either hard or soft. I said I didn't want it, he said, I must buy it. I insisted not to buy that.
Then he told me that the light bulb did not come with my projector and I needed to buy it. It was ridiculous! All projectors in the market come with light bulb.
I didn't say that I want to complain, I just asked him to cancel my order. Then he threaten me on $35 cancellation fee. They don't honor their sales and cheat you on it!

Best Price Cameras
Despite seeing eopinions.com's comments on this store, I tried to purchase a Nikon d40x digital camera and accessories. It was the old "if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't" that applies. After ordering online, I received an email and a call from Ken at ext. 223. Ken told me that the lenses I purchased were cheap plastic ones, but he would upgrade them for $199 each for glass lenses ($398 total). He told me that the camera body was a "wholesale package" and did not come with battery or charger. I said I could find those cheaply elsewhere. Then he said that the camera needed a usb cable and "firmware" to work. That was $499 anyplace else, but from him only $299. I said that I wanted to cancel the order because the saw a "bait and switch" happening. He got irate with me. I said I wanted to cancel and he hung up. I then called my credit card company to make sure that no charges were pending AND to have them not accept charges from bestpricecameras.com.
There seems to be a pattern here |

CON CON CON
THese guys are the best examples of ruthless online con men around. Don't waste your time or money with their gimmicks and cons. And FILE A REPORT with the Better Business Bureau if you have been lied to or mislead to prevent others from experiencing the same thing. |

Baited
Couldn't resist the price.
Everything looked promising, in stock, new, usa warranty.
Two days later order canceled no availability for months but they'll keep me informed.
Assurances are promising, just like their website, that there will be no charges.
When will their business model include no scams? |

Best Price Cameras
I felt the need to post this because I want to prevent someone else from making the same $9,100.00 mistake I made with Best Price Cameras. I tried to purchase 2 Sony HVR-Z1U cameras with stands, lights, microphones, etc. After I gave Shaun my credit card number he told me that the cameras I was ordering were just "shells." He said that they do not come with lenses, lcd screens, or anything else. He said that if I wanted to upgrade the cameras it would be another $2,000 each camera. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told "your just trying to be a mooch, there is no supervisor here. Im the only guy you can talk to (with a heavy bronx accent)." Look at the price in the site: http://www.bestpricecameras.com/prodetails.aspx?prodid=213519 they are listed at $1,400. After he hung up on me, I called and was transfered to Victor at extension 202 who presented himself compasionatley and stated "That guy is an idiot. I promise you he will be sent home for a few days." Trust me when I tell you they are smooth. They will talk you into stuff you dont want or need. I have a lot of friends from New York who tell me "they went New York on you bro." To make a really long story short, they sent me a set of cameras and accessories along with 2 tripods that I paid $200.00 each for. The tripods they sent me are radio shack type stads worth about $40. When I called to have the correct stands sent to me I was told that they would ship them out right away. That was last month. 2 weeks ago I spoke to Michael in customer service who said "our records show that the stands were shipped 2 weeks ago, I'll let Victor know to send out 2 more." Today, July 5th, I call to find out what the status is and they wont answer the phone. By the way, they have caller ID. Every time you call them they know who you are. It makes it easier to avoid dealing with you. I have been on hold with Best Price Cameras for over 1 hour today. I just received an e-mail "while typing this opinion" stating "We cannot get the pro tripods, we will refund you. Sorry for the inconvenience. REFUND AMOUNT $200.00" Keep in mind, I paid $400 for the stands. They love to put you on hold while they "figure out whats going on." My next step is to contact Dateline NBC. Hopefully someone can expose them alot more than my e-opinion can.
I just spoke with James who assured me I would receive a $400.00 refund within 7 business days. If they refund my money I will post another e-opinion. My recomendation is to do your research before buying on the internet. Just because someone has the lowest price does not mean you should buy the product from them. My hope in writing this is that another church that is pursuing purchasing cameras for their media department would not fall into the same trap. It is embarassing to tell your Pastor you have been scammed. |

Bait & Switch
This merchant like many others I have discovered on the Net will offer basic merchandise at a ridiculously low price with no intention to actually sell you that but want to include add-ons that are of inferior quality, and are exorbitantly priced as the final terms of a sale. I tried to purchase a Canon XTi camera body only which was advertised as in stock. I received an email that the item was on backorder for 6-8 weeks and would not be charged until it was shipped. I waited more than 8 weeks, then sought a status update, got no response, so I cancelled the order. I placed another order with Best Price for the same item listed as in stock and received an email that the item was not available and that my order was being cancelled. I suspect that they will not sell you a body only for the listed price, but will sell you a package, which contains over-priced items, some of which are merely junk. There are other merchants that seem to do the same including ExpressCameras. Their ads are just come-ons, and they will not sell you that item for that price. |

Best Price Cameras
This evening I made a purchase at Best Price Camera, and though I thought I just made a great deal something kept me thinking "this must be too good to be true" or that women have a way of putting "the worry" on you. Fortunately I listen. Later, I began to look into the alias BEST PRICE CAMERAS.com. In a very short time I came across a BBB report and this Epinion "stream of warnings"! I must admit it took reading all the past months of listing to to get through to me - I really wanted that camera at that price (frack this company, man!). It was reading the "telling the pastor" that made me pick up the phone and call my credit card.
There was no charge on my card and no transaction pending. I was able to put it a hold it that NO transactions can get through.
I wish I didn't have to read about others' bad experiences, because that would mean nobody had been ripped off. But know this - I heeded the warnings. I download the BBB report and most of your testimonies, I have all names and numbers. Now lets see what happens...
Thank you all,
David |

RE: Best Price Cameras
THIS BROOKLYN NY CON OUTFIT HANGED UP THE PHONE IMMEDIADELY ON ME TWICE WHEN I ASKED THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS REGARDING THEIR NIKON D5O AND D40 DIGITAL SLR CAMERAS ADVERTISED ONLINE FOR $219 AND $240. (NORMALY THESE CAMERAS GO FOR $500+): PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY THIS CAMERA IS PRICED SO LOW? DOES THE CAMERA COME WITH A BATTERY AND A CHARGER AND A CASE AND A STRAP? I GUESS THEY DON'T LIKE THESE QUESTIONS AND FIND THEM VERY OFFENSIVE, SO AFTER SLAMING THE PHONE ON ME I CHECKED OUT THE BBB. THEIR YOU WILL FIND 500+ COMPLAINTS FILED AGAINST. AND YES THAT "HOT" CAMERA THEY'RE ADVERTIZING IS NOTHING BUT A COLD, WORTHLESS, EMPTY CAMERA SHELL. |

Best Price Camera
I ordered 2 1/2 weeks ago. Received no confirmation of order, or shipping date. Still haven't. I talked to a representative more than a week ago and was told it would arrive in 6-10 days. I called back today and they had no new information about when it would be shipped. I asked to cancel the order and was insulted and argued with by the sales rep AFTER I had been hung up on 3 times on the phone. SCAM DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! |

Wow! After all these complaints they're still in business? Not sure how can they get away with selling a camera then tell you later its actaully just a shell they're selling. I never seen anyone selling a camera shell. |

bestpricecameras = scam artist, Inc
One price online, then when I called the price went from 1099. to over 1500. Get this, the scumbag even told me that Samsung has a 90 day warranty :) That's funny.
Then he tried to sell me a stand saying it does not come with one. Liar!
Then when I did not bit on either he wanted to charge me over $250. for(are you ready) packaging and insurance. Well packaging is funny given it may be true since they actually may be RE-PACKAGING a factory product and insurance which is $3.00 per $100. after the first $100. So they took the $30. it may have cost and built a virtual insurance company.
I them told him I have a prinout from them online and the total is not what they are saying. He said he will just cancel my order and hung up.
Here is where they have a problem. He thinks as long as you do not bill the credit card they are safe. WRONG!
You are not permitted to take someones card info under false pretenses. It's a FEDERAL ISSUE pal.
Here is a hint on many (not all) internet scammers. They are mostly based in NY and FL.

FTC Complaint
Hello -
This company is a fraud... I am filing a complaint with the FTC (as opposed to the BBB they have the ability to take action). Please, anyone who feels as though this company practices in unfair trade please call the FTC to file a complaint.
I, personally, would take great joy in shutting this company down.
Thanks,

RE: Best Price Cameras
J&K Cameras [listed on E-bay] also trading as EnterprisePhoto.com
Thanks for your reviews you saved me a whole lot of heartache!
I called J&K Cameras looking to buy a Nikon lens while on a visit to the US, Spoke to a very helpful guy Alex Ex280. All good?
Called EnterprisePhoto.com because it’s prudent to have an alternate supplier to cover all bases . What was most worrying was the number listed on the EnterprisePhoto.com website routed me through to the same guy I had just spoken to at J&K Cameras, Alex [if that is really his name].
I asked twice but Alex would not confirm that both J&K Cameras and EnetprisePhoto.com were in fact the same company. My spider senses went into overdrive so I Googled reviews on both companies.
Phew
Thank you again [Tue 23/10/07]

Another Sucker
I wish I'd checked here before I ordered from this company, but a few other consumer sites I checked gave them 5 stars. Nothing but a scam. I ordered a Sony DCR-SR42 camcorder for $215. I should have known better, but I know sometimes, you can find crazy good deals. I spoke with Victor after 2 days to complete my order. Victor told me what I ordered was the "wholesale" package and it wouldn't work when I got it. He started to upsell me the full-box camcorder. I got a shady vibe and asked to cancel. He told me my order was cancelled and then hung up on me. I'm pretty scared now that they have my CC info. I have alerted my CC, but the only thing they can do is cancel my card and since I'm going on vacation in 2 days, I can't really do that. I guess I'll deal with it when it happens. |

Ripped OFF
BestPriceCameras.com is indeed a ripoff. Ordered a Nikon camera and specifically asked if it came with a Nikon lens and was told yes. Delivered with a Sigma (??) lens and called them back. Their reply - It is a lens for a Nikon. Never deal with them. |

BestPriceCameras are Liars & Thieves
I placed an order online Oct.15th for a Nikon D40 & a 512 memory card, which totaled $398.99. I received an email Oct.17 from Chris at Best Price Cameras (chris@bestpricecameras.com) requesting a call to confirm the order.
I added additional items to my pending order & he hastily gave me a new total. I questioned the new amount - which was $592. There were additional fees I didn't agree to & I explicitly canceled the order at that time. Chris became very hostile and rude, stating that I could not cancel the order & I would be charged for the order (the order had not been processed yet). I replied by stating I am not authorizing this transaction or charge to my credit card. Again, he was rude and hostile and stated that I would be charged for the amount.
He did charge the full amount of $592 to my credit charge, which posted on Oct.17. A charge I did not authorize. I have since contacted my bank to report this as a fraudulent charge.
DON'T buy ANYTHING from this site or company - they are thieves & liars! |

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES
I wish I would have done my homework BEFORE I made the purchase. Below is my letter to BESTPRICECAMERAS, as if it will do any good.
I have little faith that you will even get this email but what the heck.
I purchased a Nikon camera and lens from your company in February 2007. My total purchase price was $1739. Included in that price are a number of things, one of which is a warranty. I was never informed at time of purchase that the warranty only covered my camera, but to my surprise, I find that out when I need repairs. It really makes no sense that I would make $1700 purchase and not spend a $100 more for a lens warranty. I was up-sold on the lens itself, from plastic to glass, so why would I not buy a warranty. I really wonder at this point if I even received a glass lens.
The bottom line is, my lens needs repaired and I have no warranty. To make matters worse, when I called this morning to ask about a manufacture warranty I was transferred from person to person for over 20 minutes and eventually hung up on. Once I did reach a person (Jamie) I was informed that I could purchase a new lens and warranty for the bargain price of $400.
In my experience, often times an owner of a company does not know when these situations occur. Usually they are very appreciative of the information so they can make positive changes in their company. Sometimes the owner is the problem. I have no idea which type of owner you are but wanted to give you the opportunity to take the information and make a choice.
Sincerely,
|

Unscrupulous vendor
I managed to dodge the bullet with these guys. I placed an order for a Sony Handicam that they advertised for hundreds of dollars less than other competitors. I probably should have recognized it as too good to be true. After placing the order on their web site, the next day their rep, Adam, called me to "confirm my order". After some phone tag, I finally got a hold of him, and he asked me for the 3 digit security code off of my credit card. I had used a secure online credit card number (using Visa's ShopSafe), so I had to go look that number up. While I did so, I casually mentioned that I'd used a secure online number -- to which he said "We don't take those. Our terminal won't accept them." He then said he needed my real card number. I told him that was nonsense (it is a total lie). He then started to argue with me and insult me. I told him to cancel the order and hung up the phone. I then cancelled the credit card number through ShopSafe. NEVER ever buy anything from these shysters! |

BEST PRICE CAMERAS ARE BEST PRICE SCAMMERS
Here's what almost happened to me with these poop heads in July '05 (Can't believe they're still in business!)
Recently I had a winfall that would have allowed me
to purchase a better digicam and so went about
researching the various cameras, prices and stores
online.
I decided on a Nikon D70s - the evolution of last
year's award winning D70 and a grade up from the new
civilian model D50.
I found a great price on a package
athttp://bestpricecameras.com/229995-239948-1-D70s-KIT-#-3-(28-70-&-70-300)-PLUS-EXTRAS.html
Granted, $799 for all that (the lenses they say are
Sigmas) seems like too little money I admit, so I
really asked questions. I was then treated like a tool
by two different salesmen and eventually a "manager"
named Dennis.
It all started over batteries. This "kit with extras"
does not include such basic "accessories" as
batteries, charger or a manual - they'll sell you the
book for $80 and allegedly the cheapest batteries they
have to offer are the nikon EN EL3 which are the very
ones that come in the package directly from Nikon and
the recommended ones from the Nikon website which
claims they last up to several weeks and 2,500
shots...BUT...BestPriceCamera.com claims (verbally)
that their cameras are hybridized by the Nikon factory
before they reach their warehouses, and that they only
use (insert generic name here) batteries which start
at $200 (the charger is even more). The guy went on to
tell me that the EN ELs are crap that Nikon made too
many of and are now trying to foist upon the public.
Also, you must be very careful to check the shipping
prices at these sites...theirs started at over $45 for
UPS ground (10-14 days) and in one day went up to $60.
They also stated on the link to buy "just the camera
body" that if you upgraded to a package that shipping
would be upgraded to express free of charge. After I'd
given my cc info to "Ted" he informed me that that was
only for "deluxe packages" not any old generic package
as it states PLAINLY on their site:
see here: http://bestpricecameras.com/227265-0-1-25218-Nikon-D70s-New-Digital-Slr-Body-USA.html
When I started asking these hard questions each of the
people I spoke with became more agitated, then
aggressive and then downright rude and even a bit
threatening. The last words from the last guy before
he hung up on me (Dennis, the "manager") were: "Lady,
look at our prices...think of it this way..you can't
get a Mercedes Benz for $10k and if you can, let me
know, I'll take a dozen....You get what you pay for"
After I added up all their additional costs for
"accessories" the price is more than going to Circuit
City and buying a starter kit with a standard US
Warranty, lens and (surprise) a freaking manual.
Whew! At least I was able to hammer them down to the
truth before I made a $1000 mistake.
Please pass this warning along to any and all others
who might be drawn in by these "unbelievable prices."
The guy as much as admitted that these cameras are
crap and not legitimate Nikon D70s as they are hawked
on their website.
Caveat Emptor and happy shooting.
Kimberley

bestpricecameras.com
BEWARE-MY CREDIT CARD WAS FRAUDULENTLY USED BY SOMEONE AT THIS PLACE!!!!!
I will admit that I had been fooled!!! I placed an order online for the Canon HG10 Camcorder ($335) and received a call to confirm my order. The gentleman asked me which battery I wanted with the camera the 2hr or 4hr. I asked if there would be a price difference between the two he said yes and told me the prices($129 and $179). We wanted an extra battery so I ordered the 4hr-well, when he quoted me my total, my bill was over $1,000.00 I told him never mind just to send the camera only and I would purchase the battery another way. The guy said fine and hung up. I called back to ask some additional questions because I couldn't believe how rude the other guy was. I spoke with Jamie-surprise, surprise it seems like he has been spoken to and mentioned a few times. Jamie said the camera that I ordered was the body only and was on back order and would not be in for at least 6-8 weeks!! I said fine and hung up. The next day I decided to research this company, I should have done this before I gave them my info!! I found this blog and got nervous so I check my cc bill online to see if anything had been charged-my cc company had an alert on my account and just 10 min later my husband called saying the cc company called about some possible fraudulant use!!! I called immediatley since I handle the bills.I had over $8000 in charges that I did not make or authorzie! Mind you I never use this account except for gas or groceries and I only used it so my husband wouldn't find out what I got him for Christmas. Anyways my cc card company (CITI) has been so awesome to work with and we have declined the charges and I closed the account immediately. So hopefully its not to late for someone to learn from my stupidity! I am just lucky that I did not have to pay for all those additional charges thanks to my cc company who has fraudulant proctection. |

Run in the Other Direction
I wish I had read these comments before dealing with "Best Price Cameras." My experience was consistent with their portrayal in these comments as bait and switch and no holds barred scam artists.
Order online and you will get a call from someone who wants to "confirm your order." In fact, they will engage in an aggressive attempt to upsell you, confuse you about what you're getting and jack the price up to what you would pay a local retailer down the street who you can find when you discover a problem.
Not these guys.
They have a "return" policy that requires an authorization number. Of course, you can't easily get one. I got no response for more than a week, and then was told I was past the deadline for a return. He could get approval if I agreed to pay about $289 to return $900 of goods.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. |

Welp, looks like I was just suckered into buying from these guys. I just purchased a Digital SLR body and from what I've been hearing it looks as if I will not be receiving it. Does anyone have any information that will help me through this, what looks to be coming, frustrating process?
Thanks.

close one for me
I did place an order last night with Best price cameras and got the call today from them trying to get me to change my order saying that the lenses in the kit will not work with the camera body and that they are plastic. Price went up $400.00 and when I said I wanted to cancel the order he said I would have to pay a $85 cancellation fee. Then he literally called me stupid on the phone. I hung up after that, and called the customer service line when I got home. Bobby was the person I talked to at that point and said he would handle Ken(the original caller) personally(yeah right). I have changed my CC number in the meantime and made sure that they did not get the payment posted. I also have reported to the BBB and the FTC which I hope anyone reading this with the same headache I have will also do. |

a little advice
If you find this site shortly after you have made a purchase, I advise taking these steps:
This is what you should do. I did it and it worked.
Max out your credit card asap (cash advance to your checking, etc) and then cancel your card when possible (transferring the advance back to pay off card). Then call and cancel your order, if they say you can't cancel then they won't have a card to charge the order to. If they say they can cancel it, then everything is ok and you should receive your new card in a couple of days making yourself the same as before the purchase.
By canceling your card you also protect yourself from them using your information in the future, which I wouldn't put past these guys.
Hope this helps. |

Thanks folks
Hi and thanks to everyone who posted here. I wish I had found this forum prior to my order with these scam artists. After I got the "out of stock, nothing has been charged, don't worry about a thing," email from Jamie at BestPriceCameras.com I knew something was up... So I did a search and found this forum. Immediately called my bank and got them to cancel my card before anything could be billed. I now know to check with epinions before purchasing anything from an unknown online retailer ever again. Cheers. |

Dodge the bullet before...
Dodge the bullet before I get seriously burned. I was a salesman myself and I can honestly say these dudes are awesome! First time I got through to these guys on my cell, which they had my number, because yes they have caller ID, I asked some pretty important questions like what exactly does your Canon 40D come with. The guy just said "Oh sir is your phone broken?" and hung up on me.
So I decided to switch my phone to private. Waited on the phone for about 25 mins till I got someone. the first thing Bernard said to me was "its the BODY ONLY sir" So the Nikon D300, it comes with NO strap, batterys, right? "NO, but I can get you a good package with the batt, charger, 5 year warr, and a 28-80 lens for $2,700". (which really wouldnt cost more than $2,200 from B&H)
Then get this, I asked him about tax since I live in NY. "Oh well how bout I just charge you $100 for TAX, OK so buy it now, trust me we wont have anymore left today, we had 180 packages last week, NOW 5, hurry up and buy this, is amazing"....
WHOAH! RED FLAG ANYONE!?!? Im a documentary film maker with 4 years exp. If anyone wants to expose these guys, Im 100% interested, I think it could be a compelling story. Just reply to my post if you have any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, or complaints.

Best Price Cameras
I WAS SCAMMED BY BEST PRICE CAMERAS. I ordered a Canon lens, they sent me a cheap sigma lens. When I called to return it John was very obnoxious. He told me that they would change me all the various fees if I was to return it. I called the next day to get the information to return the lens. Had to wait on the PHONE for a very long time, then were transferred to many different departments. I believe in many cases it was the same person pretending to be someboby else. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and plan to file a complaint with the FTC. Also, I will be getting my credit card company involved due to the fraud.
PLEASE DON'T LET THEM SPOIL YOUR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! |

RE: Dodge the bullet before...
I am all for it. I am mad at myself for not reading this site BEFORE i purchased. I dealt with the hang ups the strong arm sales and the endless minutes on hold too. I was able to get someone and cancel my order because supposedly my 999 Panasonic AG-DVX100B was all of a sudden on back order...We need to expose this company!!!! |

Best Buy Scameras
Okay, so i have yet to buy anything from these guys, and while they offer the best deal online I have seen, I would much rather buy from the Circuit City or Best Buy down the street. Too bad there isn't much you can do about their practices. Thank you for all of the information. |

Scam Artists
Do not do business with Best Price Cameras. After ordering their $799 camera package, and not seeing any activity on my credit card, I called them. First question "do you want a battery?". "OK", I say...$119. A battery is needed. Next question "do you want a charger". How much is that, I ask. $139.
At that point, I cancelled.
These guys will bait and switch and sell you "accessories" that are included in other packages. Beware. |

Do Not Shop Here
This is proof that even smart people make mistakes. I know better but still didn't do my homework on this site. This is possibly the worst customer service in the world. I was told that I must be "the stupidest person in America" for questioning their return policy. I was also asked if my husband was available "because he would be more reasonable". I took this abuse after being hung up on and waiting on hold for over 30 minutes. I have filed a compliant with the NY Attorney General's Office, the NY BBB, and my credit card company. Any one have any other ideas?
I purchased a Nikon D40x camera and I didn't like the lens that they recommended. It is not a Nikon lens and it doesn't autofocus. Same camera body with two Nikon lenses that autofocus was advertised at Costco for the same price. And I LOVE dealing with Costco so we went there instead. Meanwhile, I am fighting the charges on my credit card. The CC company (AmEx) is great and doing everything that they can to help me. Meanwhile I am fighting to return the camera. They are full of crap that they "will just have to throw it away because they can't sell it now". They sell refurbished equipment to people who haven't done their research.
Run the other way and spend the extra money to not have to deal with this company. |

BIG SCAM RIP-OFF
Please DO NOT buy from this scam outfit. I placed an order this morning for a Sony SR7 HD Camcorder for $679.00 and received a confirmation email that order was received. I received a call at 8:03pm that night from the merchant stating he was checking pre-xmas orders and wanted to verify my mailing address and get the three digit card information on the back of my credit card. (I didn't give him the number)He then went on directly to asking what kind of battery I wanted shipped with the order, a 6hr. or 9hr. battery with the camera not saying anything about extra cost of the battery which was in the $200 to $300 range depending on what battery I said I wanted. After talking to him and declining the batteries and extended warranty he wanted to sell me he said he would finish processing the order for shipment the next day. Soon after getting off the phone I received an email stating Thank you for your recent order with www.bestpricecameras.com The product you have ordered is Currently on backorder. The next delivery is estimated within 3-5 weeks. Your credit card has not been billed. We do apologize for any inconvenience. If you wish to cancel, please call or reply to us at any time. I'm not sure if my card will be billed for restocking fee if I cancel but I will be going to my bank tomorrow to have a stop payment put on the card for this merchant. As I'm writing this I'm on the phone with the merchant and they answer the call. I'm talking to the merchant explaining what happened and he hangs the phone up on me while I'm trying to explain what is happening. Please save yourself the trouble and don't ever purchase anything for this merchant as it is a nightmare waiting to happen. Hope this review helps! |

Best Price Cameras is a rip off!!!!
After searching the web endlessly I decided that I was going to buy a Canon Rebel XTi camera from BestPriceCameras.com. I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting for my $500- which is extremely low so I called several times to ask questions- ie: was the camera lens a Canon or a third party, was the camera refurbished, why didn't the camera come with the common accessories listed on the Canon website. Each time I called I was hung up on and the wait to speak to someone got longer and longer. I finally wrote an email but never got a response. I decided to do some research before I bought the camera from them. Luckily I found this blog. I think it speaks for itself. How can this business be in business, why hasn’t anyone sued them?! Please don’t buy from them- spend the extra money and buy from a reputable site or store. |

In Con Artist Circles, This Is Called "Selling Someone A Dream"
Do you need help fighting these crooks?
I am trying to help someone whose been swindled by this business. I recommend anyone whose fallen victim to them to:
1) Contact your credit card company and speak to their "Fraud Unit." Tell them you were swindled, and in what manner. Dispute the charge in its entirety. Close your account if necessary. You can ask for a new credit number and receive a new card in a week.
2) Contact the District Attorney for New York's Brooklyn Office at 55 Hansen Place, Suite 1080, Brooklyn, NY 11217-1523, (718) 722-3949. Ask for the "Consumer Protection Unit." Explain in detail what you ordered, how you were pressured, that your attempt to remedy the situation were ignored. Stick up for yourself.
3) Contact the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Protection Division and file a complaint and ask for legal help. Visit www.ftc.gov to do so.
4) Fight for yourself. Do NOT let these swindlers get away with their illegal practices. If you lay back and allow a business like Best Price Cameras to continue to operate, then you are - in part - to blame for others being defrauded in the future.
Kind regards,
Norm Mowry |

RE: In Con Artist Circles, This Is Called
I have been trying to cancel an order with them since the day after I hung up with Chris. I have sent numerous emails, faxes and voice mails. I have been left on hold for up to 30 minutes at least 5 times. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and trying to reject the order if it is delivered. I will write letters to anyone else that I need to in order to get this resolved.
Let me know what else we can do!

WORSTCustomerservice.com
Remember the 'soup nazi' episode from Seinfeld....if you didn't order the soup right, you were abused and chastised and told NO SOUP FOR YOU....this place TOTALLY reminds me of that!! i ordered a Sony HandyCam as it was a couple hundred less than anywhere else. I was impressed when they called the very next day to verify order and obtain my 'security code'...they rep then proceeded to tell me this camcorder comes with a 'demo' battery and i had to buy one for $150....sounded weird, and i thought 'that is the price difference, but oh well. the camcorder never came and i never got any additonal emails except my order confirmation. I called after 4 weeks and spoke to "chris" first. I explained i never got the camera and he said it was on backorder 6 weeks....when i said that i thought it was sort of crummy service that they didn't notify me, he said "ORDER IS CANCELLED, GOODBYE!" and hung up!!! (NO SOUP FOR YOU!) i called back and spoke to James. I asked where they were located and he said NY, when i asked who the owner of the company was, he hung up. I called a third time, James answered again....i said "James, i think you are the one who just hung up on me..." He hung up AGAIN! I called a fourth time and spoke to Michael...i prefaced by asking he not hang up on me, and he asked me order # and what the problem was. When i explained about not receiving any notice of the backorder and telling Chris i didn't think it was very good service, Michael says "Well, he probably hung up on you due to stupidity" I said, "Excuse me?" and He said, "Well, all your questions are stupid, we are very busy and have lots of people to help and don't have time for this," Then, he hung up on me!!! The encounters you will have are so so unbelievable that you think you must be a victim of candid camera or something similar....it's a joke. I hope the attorney general shuts them down. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS RIP OFF SCAM COMPANY...wish i had read all the reviews before i did so myself. |

I am glad I read everyone's response to this horrible company and it wasn't just me. I cannot believe that these jerks still have presence on the internet. I only hope that they are not setting up a scam to collect information in order to sell it to some their brothers in crime. |

Best Price Cameras - Worst Company
Just like a lot of others on here, my husband and I wish we had read this thread before ordering. He ordered a camera for my Christmas present, which never came. It's been over eight weeks. They didn't respond to our emails and neither of us have 30 minutes to wait on hold at work, so we never got through on the phone. The customer service is only available during working hours, by the way. We've had to cancel my credit card, which somehow hadn't been charged yet. So it could have been worse, but I still didn't have the video camera to tape my kids on Christmas morning. In the five years since we started shopping online, this is the first (and last) time I have ever been taken. I am filing a complaint with the FTC next.

Thanks ... how about 1 Way Photo
I've been shopping for a new digital camera. I found Best Price Camera during my search. I talked to the local camera shop about matching their price and was told that they pay more for the camera body than the overall pricing being offered by this online vendor... I then came across all the very negative reviews of Best Price Cameras on this site.
So, I wonder if anyone has similar experiences with an online vendor called "1 Way Photo?"

I hope those bastards pay for their BS and im sorry to all those who got sucked into that BS. I googles NIKON D80 because im a student and want to find a cheap one. I noticed the prices are insanely cheap. All i did was google "bestpricecameras" and sure enough I found this. I hope they get bombed and brutally beaten. Anyone know of good legit sites that are similar in prices? haha probably a stupid question but worth a shot. Good luck to you all.
PLEASE REPORT THE SITE AND BBB |

BestPriceCameras
I too should have looked here first> I bought Canon Digital Rebel XTI with numerous accessories on December 28. It was packaged with a lot of free items, if I purchased it with certain memory cards, etc. I did all this and the 5 year warranty. The mp4 plus the digital flash plus the hard case did not come. After dealing with emails and phone, the reps said it would be $35.00 shipping. The advertisement said FREE. They have not shipped it yet and it has been 3 weeks ago. THIS IS FRAUD AND SHOULD BE PROSECUTED IN FEDERAL COURTS. Also, I was shipped knock off lenses instead of Canon lenses. And the batteries were not the named advertised brand but knock offs. Crooks and liars.

I just read your post & I too ordered before checking on lojne--I figured I had them on the phone, might as well get it! I felt funny afterwards so I called back to cancel & was hung up! I immediately call my credit card # & like you it wasn't charged yet so I cancelled the card, thank goodness. Was wondering, never having dealt with this before, who do I file a complaint with? Will it do any good? Seems to be alot of unhappy people here....

I Was Almost Scammed
I ordered a digital video camera in high definition for a little over $400.00. I thought this was a wonderful price, and I was proud of myself for finding it. But when the camera didn't come for awhile and I didn't receive notification of a carrier (FedEx, UPS,etc.) I sent an email asking for that information and a tracking number. I got another email back asking me to call Steve at Best Price Cameras. I thought this was odd, and after calling twice (each time asking me to leave a message) I really started worrying. So I went online and found these posts about the scams they are doing. I immediately called my bank and asked them to close the account and open another one with a different number. That was a close call. I'm embarrassed to say I'm a retired federal agent, and I should have known better. |

Another Unhappy Almost Customer!
I can't believe this company is still in business! I thought at first maybe I was just being paranoid but after reading these posts I guess I had good reason to think they were trying to pull the old 'bait and switch'! I'll definitely do some research before I order from a website I'm not familiar with again.
I ordered a Canon 17-85 mm lens after doing alot of research and finally making a decision between that and the Sigma 18-70, or something like that. I placed my order for 2nd day shipping on a Thursday hoping to get my new lens before going on vacation. I got an email the next day that they sent after 5pm asking me to call Ralph regarding my order. Of course by the time I got the msg it was too late to call and since it was Friday I had to wait until Monday to call back (so much for getting the lens in time for vacation) Got Ralph's voice mail on Monday (no surprise). He didn't call me back until Wednesday (What the heck did I choose the 2nd day shipping for?!) Ralph proceeds to ask for the 3 digit security number on my credit card and why did I choose the Canon. I tell him and he then tells me the Sigma 28-70 lens is much better, cheaper etc etc. We talk about it for a while and the whole time I'm thinking 'sounds like he's reading off a cue card'. I ask him if he is into photography and has actually tried both lenses. He says yes and the Sigma is better. (Pretty sure now he probably doesn't even own a camera! :) ) At this point I'm already on vacation and my cell phone dies. Like an idiot, I call back (surprise again...voice mail) and leave a message telling him to go ahead and order the Sigma.
In the mean time I read all the posts here and decide I want nothing to do with them. Of course you can't cancel an order via email so I called customer service and was on hold for 10 minutes and finally hung up. Called back a while later, was on hold at least 20 minutes and they hung up! Called back again, rang a few times and someone hung up AGAIN! I then called my credit card company and cancelled my card. Ralph didn't call me back until Monday, I was at work so didn't answer. At this point I don't want anything else to do with this company. THANK YOU everyone who posted, that was where I got the idea to just cancel my card. When I order something I expect them to just ship it, don't call me and try to talk me into something else!!
There are other websites with complaints about them also and it sounds like they have been reported to several authorities but nothing gets done about it. I'm willing to email someone than can and will do something about these scam artists if anyone knows who that person would be please let me know! Just glad I found these reviews in time to cancel my credit card, now I can still get the Canon lens like I wanted to in the first place! |

FRAUD
I called Best Price Cameras to place an order based on a starter package price from their web site. After being told that the starter package contained no cables, batteries or filters, I decided to buy the Platinum package. It was more money but I felt that the price was still really good.
They charged me for the Platinum package, but only sent the starter package. Any effort of my own to call for a "Return Authorization Number" as required to send it back, is met with being hung up on. Now even my credit card company is finding it hard to dispute them because they did send me something even if it was not what I ordered. Since our conversations were all on the phone, I am having a hard time convincing my credit card company to see that I did not order this package.
I thought I had done enough research on Best Price Cameras. Evidently, I failed to look here prior to ordering. |

Weird pricing
I liked their price for the camera I was shopping for, but a lot of the accessories, such as filters and memory cards were over-priced by orders of magnitude. I decided to Google their name and found this site. My suspicions were confirmed.
Really, for the lithium battery for an Olympus E10 they charge $139.99. Right then I knew they were out of whack.
Multicoated UV filter $129.99. I was starting to wonder if these prices were in US currency. |

I was just getting ready to order from Best Price Camera and thought I'd do a search on the net for the company to see if there are any opinions or BBB reports. Thank god I did. And I thank all of you for your post on here! I am just slightly disappointed to not get the camera and mostly relieved I didnt waste my money! Thank you!

Best Price Cameras
The company does th bait and switch. The have high- pressure salesmen that lie about what is exactly in the items included, then sell you upgraded batteries, lens, etc... The salesman said, I have a deluxe package deal, maybe I can still get you in on it, since you are a first-time customer. I ordered a Sony Handy Cam on 7 Feb 2008 and they said it comes with a 2-hour battery, but if you get the deluxe package deal I can get you a 5-hour battery. We'll I only recieved the original battery that comes with all Sony Handy cams, battery model# NP-FP60. Plus my shipping box was missing a hand cam station, remote control, AV cables, USB cables. When I called back, another sales Rep said, you do not get those items because they do not come in the Sony box. I told him those items are listed as "included items right on the Sony Handy cam box. And the other customer Rep I spoke with 3 days ago checking on the missing items said, yes you should of also recieved those items. Then the sale Rep. put me on hold. So I asked the Salesman why I got only a NP-FP60 battery, he said normally you get a NP-FP50 battery in the Sony box. That was a total lie. The NP-FP60 battery is listed as an "included item". Anyways, the customer Rep. said to send my camera back and list the missing items. So I sent the camera back Best Prices Warehouse. As soon as I did that, then I filed a complaint with the NY BBB., I told them about how Best Prices Camera lied about the battery and the 4ea missing items that should of came in the Sony box. I told the BB. I want a refund. So I will be awaiting an answer from the BBB as soon as they contact that company full of liers. What a headache, but it is not over yet. |

RE: Best Price Cameras - SCAM
Bait and switch - was buying a camera they were advertising through Google ad words for a low rate. Two days after ordering I got a call to confirm the order and they said it was back ordered AFTER I told them I didn’t want to upgrade to one of their much more expensive packages. That it would ship out in the next "few weeks". I called again today (a week after ordering) and they told me my order had been cancelled and got really aggressive with me. A guy named Victor threatened me, was swearing and yelling at me.
All I wanted was the camera I bought online at the price I specified. I went onto the site and the product is still listed as available...
Wow - worst experience ever online.

Phew, glad I found this thread
I am looking for a Nikon D300 and 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 VR lens. These guys are offering this kit for USD $1759.00 including free shipping. The D300 body alone anywhere else is $1799, I thought this price is too low for comfort so decided to google first. Everybody is saying bad things about this place, not a single positive remark, and all cite the same story of switch and bait, pressure selling of overpriced accessories and very rude and insulting sales persons who hang up on you. Then I decided to explore one step further and called them by phone. They were very dodgy, albeit polite and kept addressing me as "sir." They sound as though they have a stopwatch or time counter when they talk to you like these TV shows where you have a few seconds to answer otherwise you are out of time! I asked for a store pick up in NY but they said it was strictly mail order only!!!! At that point they hung up suddenly without allowing me time to respond. Why would a store refuse someone offering to save them the shipping cost? It doesn't feel right to deal with these guys. The price is very tempting but I don't think they would ever deliver. Like a poster mention earlier, in con languange, this is commonly known as "Selling Someone A Dream." |

The worst internet buying experience in my life!
These guys are very, very sleazy. Stay away - stay very far away. I read this entire thread and I can tell you that no one sounds like they are exaggerating one bit. I was fortunate to have cut my purchase off through American Express - but the entire experience was a gigantic headache that went on for several days. Avoiding scenes like these is why you deal with reputable business and pay more. |

Stay away from Best Price Cameras as well as J&K Cameras & EnterprisePhoto.com
On Dec. 27, 2007, Best Price Cameras salesperson Jeff at Ext. 258 blatantly lied to me and sold me a false bill of goods. While he was up-selling me from a Sony HDR-SR8 (priced at $799) to a Professional Package (priced at $3,000 which includes multiple accessories as well as an extended warranty), he stated that certain items were valued at a specific dollar amount. Upon receipt of these items, I checked the Internet to find that the items that I actually received could be purchased “Brand New” at less than 25% of Jeff’s quoted price. It is clear that I overpaid by at least $1000 for these upgrades. In addition, two items were missing from my order.
In an attempt to resolve this matter, I have experienced nothing but aggravation. On multiple occasions, for over 30-minutes at a time, Jeff and the other sales people have placed me on hold waiting for customer service and then ultimately I am disconnected. In addition, via email, I have attempted to resolve the matter amicably by offering the following two options: OPTION 1: Simply reduce the charge from $3,000 to $2,200 and supply the missing items from the original order. OPTION 2: Return all merchandise contingent upon a Return Authorization Number with Pre-Paid Postage plus 100% Refund of the $3000 and no $300 Restocking Fee. However, each time that I contact the organization via email, their response is that I must contact the customer service via the telephone. Unfortunately, there is no customer service…just unethical sales people who hang up on you. My bank has told me to submit a claim and return the merchandise. So, I do plan to submit a claim; however, I am not going to blindly return the merchandise without Best Price Cameras’ agreement to the terms of OPTION 1 above. Moreover, I don't even have an address to which to send the merchandise. After the fact, I have since found that Best Price Cameras is notorious for this type of fraudulent behavior. According to the customer complaints on the Epinions website, Best Price Cameras also does business as “J&K Cameras” and “EnterprisePhoto.com”.
It is clear that Best Price Cameras grossly exaggerated the value of the upgrades (e.g., the quoted $250 8-hour lithium battery can be purchased for less the $100, the quoted $200 Wide Angle Glass Lens can be purchased for less $50, the quoted $200 Telephoto Glass Lens can be purchased for less than $50, the $149 Deluxe Hard Case can be purchased for less than $100, etc…). In addition, I purchased a 5-year extended warranty for approximately $350 but received a 4-year extended warranty. Sales person’s response was that you have a 5-year extended warranty consisting of the 1-year manufacturer’s warranty plus the 4-year extended warranty.
On February 21, 2008, I submitted a complaint to the NJ Attorney's General Office. If you have experienced a similar situation, I encourage you to submit a claim to your state's Attorney's General Office. |

best price is not nice
We recently searched online for a digital SLR and found Best Price Cameras to be the cheapest. When we bought we figured the prices were due to online buying with factory direct discounts. We ordered and were emailed a short while later with a conformation number.
A week later we have not heard anything or received anything so I went online to obtain their phone number. While on their site I noticed that for $40 more we could upgrade to a better camera. I called and told the salesman that we have not been billed nor has a camera been shipped so I would like to upgrade my purchase. I then asked for the next best camera. The salesman said he was the manager then told me that both of the cameras we asked for were the international version. He said that they were backlogged and that they came with nothing, not even a manual. I asked how much the US version was and he gave me a price hundreds higher than before. I told him I just wanted to cancel my order as this was not explained earlier. He became short with me and said his deal price (hundreds higher) would be gone as soon as I hung up. I said fine please cancel my order. He then told me that we ordered a camera and would have to pay a $113 cancellation fee as stated in the terms. I told him fine and he said to call customer service and hung up on me.
I researched the terms and it said nothing of the $113 fee. It did say if you return a camera you would have to pay a fee but I never got one.
I called customer service and the guy was polite. He said he would cancel my order for no charge and gave me a cancellation number. I asked for an email and he said ok. A few days later no email.
I have yet to receive anything in writing stating my order is cancelled. They state things such as it must be in my spam filter and they will not resend it. They also refuse to mail one by U.S mail. I spoke to a different rep. Lloyd who could not locate my order by my cancellation number and gave me a totally different number. The first was CAN *** the second was CN ***. I believe they're making this stuff up and if I called tomorrow and gave them either number they would not be able to trace it to our order.
I have never had to deal with stuff like this before. I would like to think this is a foreign business but sadly they are based at 1938 McDonald Ave. Brooklyn NY. I can imagine this is a fake address. You can't cheat this many people and post a legitimate location.
It is a shame that places like this exist and even more so that no one seems to be able to put a stop to it. I plan to find out how to best deal with this place and will follow up. I encourage all to do the same.
I'm sure this company is well aware of what they are doing and have no plans to stop as long as they are making money.

Bestpricecameras.com is very poor company
Everything you read about them here is true from my experience. Rude, ripoff artists. I am from New York, born and raised, so I recognize the kinds of characters I dealt with. They had the 'best price" but after that nightmare after nightmare after nightmare. I am so tired of even thinking about the transaction and these people, I am just going to leave it at that. CAVEAT EMPTOR times 10. For those of you who don't know that Latin phrase, it means BUYER BEWARE |

BUYER BEWARE!
STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! I think they operate under several different names. You can check you tube out under Broadway Photo. I don't know if they are the same company, but was treated exactly the same by both! I was recording the call and was hung up on 3 times, because they will not allow you to record the call! If they are legit, than why would they care? I was called shadey, aggressive, and unethical, when there ethecs came into question! |

BestcameraPrices.com
I made a purchase at 8:00pm Pacific Time from this outfit. ($1099)
My friend immediately googled the company name and warned me. I called my credit card company and when they said the charge had not yet gone thru, I told them to cancel the card. Jeez, I wish I had checked first, but I am so grateful for this site because I got out in time. |

Most Dishonest Company Ever
I had an experience with this company where I was not out any money but they lied because they did not wish to honor there posted price. Last November I ordered a Nikon D-80 Digital SLR camera from this company.
The listed price was $209. This was $200 lower than anywhere else on on the web. I waited for over 2 weeks after ordering to call and find out about my order. After 3 calls to get through to their customer service I got hold of someone who was very rude about the situation. He told me they were out-of-stock and it would be 4-6 weeks before they would come in. I found it odd that no place else was out of the camera and after checking with Nikon America there was no shortage in shipping. To date I have not had my credit card charges, but I also have never received my camera.
I would encourage everyone that has had problems with this company to take a little time and go to the New York Better Business Bureau site and file a complaint against this company. I would like the New York Attorney General to begin a criminal investigation against this company for possible interstate fraud and credit card theft. I would also like to see possible FTC charges for false advertising and internet fraud. |

Here's my story
I was looking to buy a Canon S5 IS digital camera. Bestpricameras.com had the best price I had seen by far. I've always been a fearless internest shopper and I placed an order.
They apparently couldn't reach me by phone so they emailed me to call them for "verification". Ralph started out by telling me he could get me the "American" version of the camera for $100. more. He said the one in the ad had a plastic lens and all the writing was in Japanese, even though in their ad it was clearly in English. When I said I could get it cheaper elsewhere he dropped the price a little but then started pushing me to get an SD card, batteries and charger, a case, etc. When he gave me a total it was more than what he had first told me it would be.
Like a fool, I didn't question it then, or cancel the order. I was at work and didn't have a lot of time.
After two weeks I hadn't received anything and emailed them. Got no reponse. I called my credit card company to verify nothing had been charged. I asked them to block any charges from this bunch of thieves.
After reading the messages here about fraudulent charges, I cancelled my card. So hopefully that will be the end of this fiasco.
I ordered the camera from Newegg and got it cheaper than bestpricecamera's inflated price and got it in 3 days.
Lesson learned. |

How is this company not shut down?
I am amazed the BBB has not shut this company down (actually - one front company with a bunch of retail websites).
I first placed an order for a Canon G9 camera through Best Price Cameras online. The same day, I was sent an e-mail, and later a call to follow up on my order. They tried to upsell me on a 2- or 4-hour battery which I said I wouldn't need. "Chris" explained the battery on the current camera was only good for 10-minutes at a time (I had done a lot of research - so I knew this was a lie. Too bad I didn't research the company first like I usually do...)
When I declined the upsell... he quickly said the camera would arrive in 4-6 weeks (nothing on the site talked about back order and ship times longer than 7-10 days). I asked why... and he said it ships from "overseas." He hung up before I could get a word in... I called the next day to cancel when I had time and the shock had passed.
The same next day - I tried to order the same camera through razzphoto.com at a slightly higher price. Looked like a good deal... but I was about to go through the same thing again. I placed my online order and elected overnight shipping (beats 4-6 weeks). I get a similar e-mail confirming my order... but it used "razz photo's" logo and color scheme so I had no reason to think I was dealing with Best Price Cameras. BUT - I get a call a few hours later and it's Best Price Cameras confirming my order I placed through Razz Photo... WHOA... I was freaked.
They tried the same battery trick... added more money to the total than I saw online when I checked out... and told me it would arrive in one to two days, then they promptly hung up.
So... two websites... one company.... the same exact camera... different prices... and one was ready to ship in 4-6 weeks and the other was ready to ship that day. OMG... SCAM! Luckily there are sites like this. I started reading business reviews and cancelled my order again... this time they gave me a cancellation number at least... now I just leave it up to my credit card company to take them down if they try and charge me.
I am simply amazed a company can get away with this. But it's good for local business owners... I am going to support my local camera shop and avoid another experience like this one online! So every story has a happy ending... |

BBB
BBB has no authority to shut down anyone as they are not a governmental agency. They are in business to recruit businesses to become members and are 'for profit'.
They simply attempt to mediate a disagreement.
Not bashing the BBB, just simply stating they have no authority over anyone but their employees.

I agree... if you want to begin the process of shutting down a business you believe is operating unlawfully, contact the police in the city where the business is located. Be prepared to give a statement to the police and prosecutors, and you may possibly be called as a witness.
As for buying things online, I do it all the time with no problems. The key is to buy from companies you've heard of and never ever fall for a price that is more than 10 percent below what the item costs at a well-known Internet retailer. If Amazon or Costco sells a camera for $500, you will never buy the same thing from an unknown Internet vendor for less than $450. If you see it for less than $450, it's a scam.
My advice is to buy cameras and other nifty electronic items from the online sites for Amazon, Costco, Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's, Crutchfield or any other name that you know is a legitimate business. Personally, I prefer Amazon, Costco and Crutchfield. All three (especially Crutchfield) have great service after the sale, too.

RE: I Was Almost Scammed
I just ordered from them on Friday and on Sunday I got a call from Adam to confirm my order. He asked me for the 3 digit security code, and also offered to sell me the lithium batteries. Since the camera is for a friend who is coming to visit me from Europe I told him that I would ask her and call him back.
I should have known that there is something wrong, because everytime I called to ask a question about a camera before that, as soon as I asked about a product, the answer came immediately, as if they didn't even check the information in their system. Three time I spoke with someone, always a guy and every time they were very rude.
This morning I all of a sudden decided to go online and search the name of that company (which I should have done before)and I found epinions.com.
I called and made sure that the credit cards has been canceled and all the information has been transfered to a different account. I also made sure that they haven't charged my credit card.
At this point, does anyone think I can have problems with them besides being rude to me when I call to cancel the order? I think as long as they don't have an active credit card they can not do a thing. What do you think? |

more on best price camera...
Came across this "cheapest price" site:
http//www.diduprice.com
Was looking for a canon camera. They mentioned three "five star" sellers, best price camera, enterprise photo and amazon.
After reading this thread I realize that enterprise photo is the same, and this it appears "diduprice.com" is also a scam. |

Low Price Camera High Price Battery!
I called to see if the price for a Canon 30d was correct, was it plastic, why was it so much less than other places. The sales person said it was correct and only included the body and the lens cover. Great! That's all I wanted. I asked if I had to purchase anything else to get the camera. He said "yes you must purchase a battery and a charger. We do not sell the camera by itself." Okay, how much for the battery and charger? "Battery is $139 and the charger is $199" Was he kidding? "No" So when I said I could buy a battery for much less he said fine and hung up. Oh Well! At least I did my homework before buying! Don't buy from this company! |

Best Price Cameras
Ordered the Canon 40D in a package. Received the 40D but Japan model. No US warranty. Also received the wrong lens. Did not receive other items as well. Called and waited for 40 minutes then spoke to a rude person. He told me that they (the company) warranties the camera so it didn't matter. They ended up shipping the remaining items. I was going to return but after reading other posts its not worth the hassle. Now I have a useless lens and probably waisted about $500. I will never buy from them again. |

LIARS
I too wish I had read this first. I ordered a camera body only, said it was in stock. I emailed them 5 days after order as it had not been charged to my account - no response by them. I called a week after that (today), they said it is not in stock and will be in from one to six weeks. I am assuming they are waiting for me to cancel as I did not buy accessories from them and they are not making enough money on the body alone. I will satisfy them and cancel as I have no business doing business with these clowns.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE LIARS! |

Got my money back
I too bought a Canon EOS 40d before I saw this site. Back in December 2007, I called the 800 number and ordered the camera. When they say its body only, thats what they mean. So after I was told I needed the battery and lens I agreed to pay $719.00 that also included the kit (bag, cap etc). I did get my camera a few days later. I did not see a final bill in the package, but it must have fallen out when I did open the package and my wife found it. The total for the camera was just under $1700.00, not even close to the price quoted. Well just try to call them and see what happens (no wait Ill tell you, you wont get through). Thank god I paid for it with my American Express. I contacted them and told them what happened, they asked for all documents (I printed each web page through the transaction showing the price). After three months of American Express looking into it, they denied my claim and sent me what Best Price sent them, what they sent was an web page for the camera with a higher price. They sent a March pricing list instead of the December 2007, which I had. When I pointed it out to American Express that, that was the wrong web page, they re-opened the investigation and just let me know that they credited my credit card for the over charge of $1000.00. DO NOT BUY FROM THESES CROOKS. RUN AWAY REAL FAST. On a side note, when I needed a Canon 2.5 75-200mm lens, the best price I found in the camera shop was $1900.00, I went on JR electronic site found the same lens for 1574.00 with free shipping. I ordered it and received it the other day. Brand new in the box with papers etc. Prior to them shipping it, they called me to make sure I in fact did place the order. WOW what service. |

RUN
from Bestpricecameras.com and all their many, many aliases. I saw a good price for a Sony hdr-sr8 and called to place the order. I was uploaded a bunch of stuff but thought it was still a decent price. I was hesitant to order from them, but I knew my amex would protect me as a consumer. As soon as I received the box, I knew that I had been scammed. The extra items that I ordered were not in the box, however, I was charged for all of the items. After I called several times to get an RA number and was hung up on, I called amex and they said they would take care of it. I sat back relieved. Let them get the RA number and I will return this product. Right. Right? wrong. Amex answered my inquiry with a response that said that I received what I had ordered. Amex didn't bother to look at the fact that what I ordered and what I got were two different things. They seem to feel that at least I got something. So what if I am paying $1200. more than what I should be paying. So if you are like me and willing to take a chance on this company because you think you will be protected as a consumer by your credit card's fraud department or the BBB, think again. Look at the BBB's website for all of their aliases so you aren't scammed by them at all. I don't know what more I can do to warn others of this fraudulent activity by this company and all of their entities. |

Don't Buy Best Priced Junk
I was lied to, promised a rebate that I never got, overcharged and screwed in general. I am not a bitter person but I would love to drive to New York and give a little Texas Justice to these guys who lie and steal to make a living. If you need a camera do yourself a favor and go to a reputable dealer and pay for what you get. If you try a save a buck with these guys it will cost you more in the long run and you can’t believe a word they say! I will stop before I “break the rules of conduct” but I hope at least one person reads this and does not buy from them. I got my D300 JAPAN Camera that I was assured was American and when I went to return it due to all the lies I learned of the “Restocking Fee”. They operate under several names, we call that a clue, then rip you off. I learned the hard way, beware! |

DO NOT BUY FROM BEST PRICED CAMERAS!!!!!
I bought a camera from them over 6 months ago...and still nothing. You call them, are on hold for HOURS, then get hung up on. Trust me...when I bought I only looked at the price and ignored the reviews and now i just lost $500. Please just don't buy from them!!! |
