car loan
My wife had an accident with her car, and ins co sent her a check made out to her and chase because she has a loan.
when she sent the check to chase after calling them, and they told her to send the check to be endorsed. they sent it back cancelled.... saying that they required a paid stamped bill from body shop....,they expect her to pay out of pocket, get a stamped paid bill, and then they will reimburse her. who the hell can afford to do that............. They suck....... |

Harsh
Boy that is Harsh....the insurance check is sent to
the car owner....just for that purpose....to pay the bill.
When you say Chase sent it back canceled...do you mean
they cashed it, and kept the funds? How could they do that
if its made out to "YOU" and Chase? Did you endorse it before
mailing to Chase ?
If Chase doesn't trust you...the car owner..to use the
funds to pay the repair shop, ask Chase to send a check
made out to the repair shop directly. Then both parties
are covered.

Chase Credit Cards Suck!
I want EVERYONE to know that Chase Credit Cards are a rip-off!!! My credit card got swallowed up by Chase. They instantly increased my APR to 31.99%. I started trying to pay the card down by making huge payments ($1200.00) on the card every chance I got, how did they repay me in return? They decreased my limit so they could jack me over on the interest and reported to the credit bureau's that I am constantly close to my limit which lowered my credit score. I am paying that badboy off as soon as possible and will NEVER do business with Chase ever again. STAY AWAY from CHASE credit cards!!!!!! |

BEWARE OF CHASE!!!
I opened my credit card account almost 10 years ago with Providian then Wamu took over and Chase. I have NEVER been late on a payment and ALWAYS pay more than the minimum. Last month I went over my limit by $8 and received a $39 fee for it. I understand and made no fuss about paying it. Last week I received a letter advising me that my interest rate will be increased from 15% to an outrageous 31% in January. I called 3 different times and spoke with everyone I could about stopping the increase as it was a small error and I have always been a loyal client. All I got was thank you for being a great customer but there is nothing we can do. This is just plain wrong and can't believe the way they have handled my situation. I will NEVER deal with Chase again and will make sure to tell as many people as I can about this outrageous behavior. I will stick with Capitol One from now on as they have always been great to me even when I did make an error...
CHASE BANK SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!! |

So I went into McDonalds the other day, and I asked them to "waive" the taxes. I then asked them to refund me the entire price of the meal, because I am such a good customer, who has been doing business with them for such a long time. Can you believe that they refused to honor my requests??? McDonalds is such a ripoff. I'm really angry, and feel like I should contact the government and have some new laws passed that actually hurt the customer, and cause even more problems for the people who do what they are suppose to do. Thanks, unaccountable american society... your selfishness and greed has caused a backlash that is going to see further problems with the economy. |

sue mcdonalds! lol.. policies are actually there to keep you in line. SO when your account goes over, of course there's a consequence.. and getting the default apr is the consequence. before, the default apr was actually applied right away without even having to notify you. You should actually be at some point happy, since YOU have the OPTION of closing your account, rejecting the changes and GOING TO CAPITAL ONE. and when your over the limit again or if something goes wrong, i bet there's some site that would rant about how capital one screwed you over. FIND IT! |

geez.. and i thought we were on the same side. the first line was for you. "sue mcdonalds.. lol". which is also making fun of these whiners. considering that they're thinking of a lawsuit and all that other crap. lol. and the rest was for the other guy. dumbass. do you even know how to read? and no i dont work for chase. lol. read it again please. it would actually say something about going over the limit and finding capital one which is nowhere to be found on your previous post about mcdonalds and would not even be in connection with your reply. lol. you f-ing dumbass. but id rather not argue with you. id rather argue with these whiners. lol. ill just let it slide. and please. next time read carefully. look at my previous posts as well. idiot. |

real customer service
Yes, this site is for whiners...dedicated to express
the opinions of Chase customers that don't like their
experience with Chase.
If you two don't have an issue with Chase's bad public
relation skills, why are you here ??? I guess just to
mock other peoples frustrations.
I'll give you an example of a company with GREAT customer
relations skills. LL Bean of Freeport Maine. They are world
renown for providing excellent return policy ....for any
reason...yes, any reason. If your not 100+% satisfied, just
return the product...they even pay the return postage.
Yes, I'm sure it bites into their profits....but
absolutely guarantees loyal return customers. That's
what makes them so successful.
Just my opinion on what makes a successful business.
(Please check for spelling errors....I'm sooo spoiled !! ) |

New Way to calculate payments
I have to agree, I just received my letter in the mail two months ago that CHASE is using a new way to calculate the interest rate. It will be based on the prime rate, so it's based on the stock market, Like a home mortgage now. Anyway, I have enjoyed a 9.9% fixed interest rate and sure enough the first new billing, my interest rate is up to 14.5% The payment is now higher and can now change month to month. Keep in mind I have a 740 score and never missed or been late on a payment. This is insane. |

RE: Chase Credit Card Suck
I always pay my balance in full and just missed a $39 balance - just plan forgot to pay it. The minute I realized I had missed it, I called and paid but received a bill with a $15 penalty plus $1.50 in interest. They had lifted my interest rate to 29%. I've been a customer for about 15 years. Needless to say, I cut up my card. |

RE: I WORKED FOR CHASE
I had two cards w/Chase, 0% balance xfer for a year then 7.99% fixed.
One was 12000, the other was 8,000.
I came into a windfall and paid them down by half; they immediately lowered my credit limits.
I then also noticed my rate had increased (never ever late w/a payment to ANY creditor) - they said my debt-to-income ratio made me a bad risk. But the CSR I spoke with also promised to restore my 7.99% interest rate (from the 29.99% it had been hiked to), and make the change retroactive.
That never happened, and I discovered the cards had been closed when I tried to make a small purchase with one.
I called and they'd closed them because I was "too much of a risk" (despite 100% payments on time to all creditors EVER, for over 12 years, with comparable or higher debt load).
Okay, but why hadn't they honored the promised interest rate restoration?
They researched the matter and were able to confirm that I *had* been promised by a CSR long before the accounts were closed.
So, they said they'd make the adjustment.
They *did* - for one of the two cards, but not the second one.
I called back to ask about the status of the 2nd adjustment, and was told it wasn't possible to change the interest rate on a closed account.
I calmly and politely explained that I was grateful they'd honored their promise to adjust the first card, and that *that* adjustment had occurred after the account was already closed, so I needed them to honor their documented promise and adjust the second card as well.
They transferred me twice, and the second time I was transferred to Travis in the Oklahoma call center.
He started the conversation by saying there would be NO adjustment to a closed account.
I directed his attention to the call history notes which clearly document the promise.
He refused to even read them, repeating that it was impossible to adjust a closed account.
I explained (calmly and politely) that it had been possible to adjust one of the two accounts after closure, so I was calling to check status on the second promised adjustment.
He repeated himself like a broken record, then provided the fax and POBox address for their "Correspondence Department", where he stated I could file a complaint but that it would not make any difference or change anything.
He was as rude and condescending as it is possible to be on the phone. (Which admittedly is a contrast from the first person I spoke with, Annie Hilton, who was friendly, helpful, polite - and not in a position to do anything but transfer me on up. She *did* read the call notes and saw the promise and the status, and transferred me to get help - which I didn't.)
So - I'm grateful that the first card was adjusted back *as promised*, but am very frustrated that they failed to honor a promise that is documented in their own system, to correct *both* cards. |

And the saga continues...
It is unbelievable that Chase would continue to "Chase
away" (no pun intended) more good, solid credit worthy
customers, like they are doing...until I read a story this
week...and mentioned in that article, was that the Commissioner of Banking, for NH....has closed a recent credit card account of his.
He also, was very credit worthy, but had his credit limits reduced, yet had never missed a payment, etc. The reason is that banks...must "account for" all credit limits that their customers have...in total....on their books. So, if say they have 50,000 card holders with 10,000 credit limits, then they have to have 500 million in assets to "cover" the exposure that they have, if all card holders max out their cards.
The banks that got TARP bailout funds ( Chase included ) are under pressure from the government to have more assets to debt. ratios...thus, they are, I believe deliberately dropping those cardholders that have high credit limits, but are not using them. Don't use the limits = no interest fees being collected = no profit = "we don't need them" .
I had a $15,500 limit, never used more than $1,000 of it, and when I closed the account last month, they seemed almost happy. ??
That's my most recent take on "why" Chase is being so bad. |

RE: Chase Credit Card
I'm with you Sheriff Billy-Bob!! Yeah! The banks are pure criminals, what with all the drive-by shootings, crack dealing at public schools, kidnappings and assaults! Let's not walk them to prison just yet though... I was just heading into B of A so I could put a hit out on someone I don't like. Their branch manager, Vito the Hammer, does a great job at such things. |

Okay, for the last time, saying that there is "absolutely no truth in the rumor that the last line in Anne Frank's diary reads: 'Today is my birthday, Daddy bought me a drum kit' is tasteless. |

thanksgiving
The Thanksgiving holiday is upon us, and I just wanted to make some suggestions on things we as Americans can all be thankful for.
First, we should all be thankful for the new credit C.A.R.D. act, regulating American banks.
Second, we should all be thankful for the governments new idea to regulate television manufacturers on how they make tvs and the energy they consume.
Third, we should be thankful that America is not willing to let other countries take regulations to the level that some in history have, causing an oppresive society. This is very important, because these other countries are trying to muscle in on our action.
Finally, we should all be thankful for Hitler, and take a moment of silence for him.....................
Without Hitler, America would not have been able to come up with such great regulatory ideas, and without Hitler, we would not have anyone to compare our current leadership to.
So, in conclusion... hats off to you, America!!!!
We are creating a wonderful society for ourselves and our children...... oops, gotta log off now. I think I'm being regulated. |
