Have fun.
First and foremost, the Message Boards should be fun. Epinions members wanted a place to talk outside the context of reviews, ratings and comments and Message Boards is one of our most requested features. We hope that Message Boards will be a great place to hang out.
Engage in meaningful conversation.
Epinions Message Boards will be a place to discuss best practices for the site. There will be advice areas about writing reviews, boards to talk about new products and forums to communicate with the Epinions staff. Message Boards will also serve as a place to talk with other members about experiences on Epinions.
Think before you type.
Remember that the person on the other end is human and that they may not understand your statement as humor or sarcasm. Sometimes, it is good to remember to count to ten and take a deep breath before responding to a post that may have upset you.
Don't spam.
Please don't pollute our site with unwanted solicitations. No one wants to see spam on our boards. Spam includes unwanted materials be they commercial, abusive or off topic. Spam also includes multiple postings of the same materials in several forums. Don't spam or your privileges will be removed.
Don't infringe copyright.
Please don't post material that you have not written yourself or haven't properly attributed. Copyright infringement will get your site and Message Boards privileges revoked.
Don't engage in personal attacks and flame wars.
Personal attacks, flame wars, stalking or other anti-social behavior won't be tolerated on the Message Boards. Members who engage in such activities will have their Message Boards and site membership revoked. We take such behavior very seriously.

We hope that the Epinions Message Boards will be a fun place to hang out on Epinions. We want to emphasize that our
site rules still apply, so please observe them or your site and Message Boards privileges will be revoked.
