Getting rid of sugar
I've been trying to lose weight for a few months now but it wasn't until just a few weeks ago that I realized I should cut sugar out of my diet. Sugar is especially dangerous when it's in its most addicting form, high fructose corn syrup. The easiest way of cutting sugar out of my diet was by replacing it with an all-natural sweetener from the Stevia plant. Stevia is an herb that's naturally sweet and native to Paraguay. I've tried a few different types but my favorite so far is definitely SweetLeaf Sweetener. It tastes better than others I've tried and it has no calories, no carbs and no glycemic index.
The things that's most convenient about it is that it's versatile. SweetLeaf can be used in hot drinks, cold drinks, is great on cereal, brings out the delicious flavors in fruits, can be used in cooking and baking, makes great-tasting desserts and is incredible in smoothies and blended drinks. When I use it in recipes I always add a filler like mashed bananas or yogurt to keep the amount of ingredients the same. I'd definitely recommend giving Stevia a try if you're looking to lose weight!
