RE: Hello everyone!!

Hi! I went to our local family doctor & he prescribed the generic Lamisil. I honestly can't remember how long it took for my nails to grow clear. I wish I would have kept track of the progress with pictures. I do keep them cut as short as possible now. Again, I am thrilled & thankful that they're all clear!!

Lamisil

That's been several months now, hasn't it?

I am doing the uv-c wand. Did 3 rounds of cold laser. And the probiotics. Now we're going into the doldrums of winter when my slow-growing nails really slooooooow.

Question for Vperson

Vperson,

What do you mix your solution in? Do you use a small jar of some kind? I am considering doing a version of your mixture. I will probably use Tea Tree, Lamisil cream, and DMSO. I know you currently use Lotrimin in place of the Lamisil. Do you squeeze the whole tube out and then add the other amounts of the ingredients to the cream and stir together.

Thanks for your help.

Ok sorry but I am still reading the past postings and just came on the one about the RED laser. So I answered my own question. I'll keep reading after work.

vperson, I just bought my verilux uvc wands, I want to use it as few a times a week I can I would rather use it for more minutes and not have to use it as many times, how many times a week and minutes do you think? Thanks for your help

The length of time you can use the uv-c is pretty specific to you. The goal is to cure the fungus without burning your skin.

This is a detailed explanation of how UV-C is used in a skin infection: http://www.delasco.com/pcat/pdf/DermaWandPhysInfo.pdf

I used a 2 oz plastic bottle with a treatment pump type top. I open the tube of lamisil and squeese it into the bottle and then add the rest of the stuff. I use a popsicle stick to mix.

Spunky - takes me 3-4 weeks to go through a 30 gm (1oz tube) and I use generic.

The lotromin is more expensive since it isn't a generic.

Just so you guys know - I am going to be off more than on for the immediate future. The events at Ft. Hood hit pretty close to home and my Veteran son is having some difficulty.

vperson: My prayers and best wishes go out to your son and your family. Sometimes the reality of the bitter problems beyond our own little world on this site bring us all back to the realization that there are far bigger problems in this world beyond this message board. Bless you and your son.

RE: Vperson

I'm sorry to hear that your son is affected. As I'm sure everyone in the family will be, too. (Too bad the guy didn't die. Except now maybe we'll get some explanation.)

Check in when you are able... You're in our thoughts.

RE: Laser

If the soft laser on ebay is 635-670 nm and 5mw power and a laser pointer has the same specs, what is the difference in the two? Besides the huge price difference? Are they the same? I am excited to try this at home.

RE: Laser

Do a keyword search by etrans. I paid $50. The auction was for $79 buy it now or best offer. I clicked on the seller's feedback and saw that she did take $50. Laserteacher told me to buy that one.

RE: Laser

Yes I saw that one by Kimsey but the regular laser pointers you see for $15 have the same wavelength and strength as the one you bought. I was wondering what the difference was. Anyone know?
