Anyone else still wondering about effed up buttons?

I've got an Advisor hat in R&G. For some subcategories, my button still seems to work properly -- I get the MH choice in Chain Restaurants, for example.

But in other subcategories, most notably regular Restaurants, Wines, and Beer categories that remain under R&G, I don't get that ratings weight or the MH choice. Some folks who have Advisor hats in R&G, though, DO have their Advisor button next to their rate. Some of these people only have Advisor status in R&G, so it can't be crossover from status elsewhere on the site. It's really odd, and quite irritating to say the least.

This has been going on since the database changeover, with no reason to believe it'll stop any time soon. Anyone else see similar problems?

Edit: I should add that if I click to see "all ratings" on a product, my name shows up with the Advisor button. But I still don't have the option at the time of rating to give the review a MH, and on the review page my name and rate appear without the Advisor bubble (so I suppose I slide off the first ten rates to other people).

RE: Anyone else still wondering about effed up buttons?

I think everyone else is doing just fine, and there's a snippet of code designed specifically to mess up your interface and ratings. I also think that Marilyn Monroe was a Cuban spy and that there were aliens on the grassy knoll with disintegrator rays in case Oswald missed.

My buttons and badges work OK, though I'm seeing an inordinately high number of products in the C&M new reviews listing that are actually electronics (not a new problem, though). I'm also not seeing certain subcategories come through the C&M new reviews at all (tires, RVs, etc.) [edited to add], though that's probably because people can't find a way to review them,

RE: Anyone else still wondering about effed up buttons?

I knew it. Once I was named in the Mitchell Report, all hope of seeing this fixed went out the window too, I bet.

Darn shame that quite a few goals of the site are currently much worse than they were two months ago. Or is it that the goals of the site have changed dramatically, too?
