National Library Week Write-Off

Hey guys, I thought I'd be one of the first to host a write-off and post it on the Anouncements Board!!!

In honor of National Library Week I am hosting the National Library Week Write-Off. The idea is simple: review something that you've borrowed from your library, be it a book, movie, magazine, etc. In your review, be sure to include a little snippet of information about your library. This can be a memory from your childhood, your experience picking the reviewed material, your favorite thing to do at your library, what your library is doing to participate in National Library Week... you get the idea.

The rules are simple and generous, and surely you've borrowed something from your library so it should be easy! Feel free to submit as many entries as you want.

The National Library Week Write-Off begins as of this posting, and ends at the end of April. To submit an entry you may leave a comment on the review or email me a link to your review at lea_ander@yahoo.com. Please mention this write-off, and possibly a link to the announcement somewhere in your review.

In a Nutshell...

-Write about something you've borrowed from your library

-Include a memory or experience about your (or any, really) library

-Mention this write-off in your review

-Send me a link to your review so I can include it on this list

-Make as many submissions as you like (you've got two months!!)

-Don't forget to let your favorite librarians know how much you appreciate them

Your loving librarian,
Laurashrti :)

I have always had a thing for librarians, ever since I first saw Marian the librarian . . .. ...:minism:...

If we want this permanent location for write-off announcements/talk to work, we have to support it..!! Read the seminal thread for the idea here.

...tom...

Hey guys,

I have only had one person submit a library item review outside of the books category. I'm hoping to see some more music, DVDs, or even magazines.

...Also just kinda wanted to remind people of this write-off in case anyone needed a refreshing reminder :)

Your favorite librarian,

Laura :)
