RE: I still miss her too..

I've had a hard time writing since Barbara's passing... just feel like something is missing, with all of her fun reviews and thoughtful comments & posts... Glad to see pieces of her spirit still floating around the community!!

She's left a big hole... her comments, her joie de vivre.

I miss her; sigh...

The Jewish New Year is coming up, and Barbara and I sometimes talked about foods we liked to cook for the holidays. She enjoyed sharing and talking about recipes. She also loved to cook and bake, and I wish I could have tasted just one of the fancy cakes she made for her family!

Miss you, Barbara :~)

That new/revised version of facebook just suggested to me that I keep my contact with Barbara by writing on her wall, and her daughters recently posted lovely messages to her, noting that it has now been six months since she left this earth.

Yes, this creeped me out big time because when I X'ed it out, the next suggestion to keep in touch with was my Uncle ROger, who passed away at the beginning of the summer.....

I guess those are gentle reminders that they are still with us somehow....

I read an article recently that said that family members can contact FB when a family member passes away. The account can remain open but they will stop "suggesting" that family member as a friend or doing as many of us have noted - getting a reminder to post on her wall. Personally I don't mind the latter.

I thought of Barbara this morning but can't remember why. It made me realize that I think of her just about every day. I didn't know her that well and we were just starting to get to know each other a bit more. I sure do miss her and her reviews.

I have often thought this thread...

...
I have often thought this thread should be unpinned and let slide down the page.

But after coming across a Barbara comment on another user's review/comment thread earlier this week . . .that same feeling of 'something missing' hit me also.

'Pinned' or not . . .I suspect many will not forget...

...sigh...

...tom...
.

Just a day or so ago I ran into a comment were Barbara was sharing her enthusiasm about a destination and for the experience another person had there.

On this Thanksgiving Day I give thanks that I did meet her here at Epinions and that her joy-filled and warmhearted essence continues to live on through this site.
