Very strange bug
I reported this one already, but thought some discussion might also help to pinpoint why it's occurring (the problem is three-fold):
1) I posted up a review of the Nintendo video game Deja Vu a few days ago. After I posted it up, I noticed it wasn't appearing in the recent content section for video games; every other review I have submitted on the site always shows up immediately in the given category's recent content section.
2) I also noticed that, while I could view the _overall_ rating given to my review, I could not see what _individual_ raters were giving my review. In every other review I have submitted, I can always see who has rated my opinion and what ratings they have given to me.
3) Most frustrating of all, after I posted the review, I could no longer access my list of previous reviews. The screen would blank, only listing the number of reviews I had written:

This is all while logged in. As all these problems occurred, I took the review down to see if it was just a temporary glitch. However, when I put the review back up, the same problems happened all over again, so I had to delete the review again.
Any idea what could cause this? Will I ever be able to review the product on Epinions without these glitches occurring?
The link to the game I was trying to review, if it is any help:

RE: Very strange bug
I think this is another variation of a bug that's been around for a couple of years. Notably, people post a new review and immediately have trouble finding it. The only solution so far is to wait it out... everything usually normalizes in a few hours. (This one happened to me, so I know first-hand that it exists.)
I suggest that you repost the review and give it a day or two. Report again here if anything changes after giving it some time. Depending on the results, you might need to fill out a bug report.
Good luck!

RE: Very strange bug
Thanks for the help. I'll post it up again, leave it up longer, and see how it goes. |

I
am getting notifications that people are rating my review, but I still can't see individual ratings or my full review list. This is the second day of the review being up..not sure if I will be able to ever see individual ratings for it, or if I can access my full review list again. |

RE: I
Very strange one. I recommend that you send an e-mail to Yoel at Epinions. His Eps name is yoelc and his e-mail addy is listed on his profile page. Yoel is an engineer at Epinions and will have a good idea about what to do.
Good luck!

RE: I
Kendra,
Your review for the deja vu nintendo game is problematic because the product has not been filed in the video games category. It's an "orphaned" product which doesn't seem to be attached to any of the regular product categories.
I've noticed that weird things can happen to the user profile (they have happened to mine) when you have a review on a misfiled or orphaned product.
I think the only way to fix the problem is to have the systems people move the product back to the proper database category where it belongs. Yoel or Chrystal should be able to help.
Good Luck!

Thanks
Thanks so much for the help - I will do as you two stated to help remedy this situation.
(I found out I could access my review history once I logged out, but then there was still no way to view individual ratings.) |

RE: Jennifer is right
We will need to move the product or SAP it in, then move your review. I'll get on this today.
