Me neither.
I have NO CLUE what anyone is talking about. It's like reading threads in COMPLETELY different languages.
I vaguely have some of the slightest impression that Epinions might be converting to a "new system" ....
and I'm praying that when "it's ready" my CL's or whomever will tell me all about it in TERMS I CAN UNDERSTAND.

If a person writes two different reviews on the same product on both Epinions and SDC, the Epinions review will override the SDC review.
4) I noticed and have used the thumbs up/thumbs down ratings on Shopping.com. What if you find the review some what helpful? You can't rate it helpful"thumbs up" or not helpful "thumbs down" because it would not be fair based on your personal judgment.
As we stated before, the new features are the early steps of development. These features can and will most likely change. This is why your feedback is important ; )
5) What will become of IS? Will it change based on the fact that the review would be "just published there" when we transfer a review?
Income Share will remain until a new incentive program is created and launched.
6) Will Mods, CL, and Advisers remain the same or will they have to re-earn their status "I hope not".
The current rolls will still exist, but the names and responsibilities may change. We are looking to grow the community and with that we see that additional roles will need to be created.
7) Most Popular Authors are we starting from scratch all over again? Or continuing where we left off here.
Our plans are to migrate all of these things over.
8)Will we be able to attach photos of our own to our reviews?
We have several media rich community features planned for the new platform. This is something that I have specifically asked for and would love. This feature will come eventually, but I'm not exactly sure where it is on the road map.

Moderators...
Is there a way to pin/lock just Christal's response (quoted above) somewhere with a thread heading akin to "Answers About...[Pick your descriptor]"? That way, it won't be 'buried' in a long discussion thread where feedback is being posted regarding 'bugs' and 'issues' with the SdC rollout as it currently exists. Hopefully, this will, partially, soothe some of the angst out there. I'm suggesting pinning and locking so that the thread can be used for her updates; and, if people want to start their own back and forth about each or all points, they can start their own threads without burying her updates.

Rating Bug on SDC
A release went out this morning for SDC reviews that fixed the ratings bug. When rating a review, the resulting thumbs up/down count should be correct now.

If I do a review NOW through the Shopping.con interface, does it still generate IS at Epinions? |

To Clarify-
Epinions reviews on Shopping.com earn Income Share. New SDC reviews are not tracked yet, and therefore do not earn IS.
Income Share will remain until a new incentive program is created and implemented.

Issues with logging into SDC
Some of you have reported having issues logging into Shopping.com. We have found that some members that have several reviews are timing out when trying to login. We are currently working on this and will let you know when the issue has been resolved.
