NYC Focus Group

It's only a short train ride away from NJ so I'll be there. Who else will I meet? I'm excited.

I plan to go. NYC isn't that far from Boston.

In miles and time, no. In attitude, yikes!

Don't you dare wear your Red Sox gear!

RE: NYC Focus Group

I really want to go, but I don't know if I can get to the City that early on a Saturday due to other commitments.

Stacey

(Editing to clarify that Staten Islanders tend to refer to Manhattan as "the City" and rarely call it by its given name.)

Remember...

...

Do remember the Member Center piece talked about 'limited space' (probably so the servers would be able to pour the wines and peel the grapes without keeping peeps waiting) . . .so make sure you get your reservation in early..!!

I really wish I could go but couldn't sell the wife on it. Maybe next time.

RE: NYC Focus Group

Any word yet on WHERE exactly the NYC focus group will be meeting this coming Nov. 14th?

Two, any of our NYC residents have good ideas for hotels to stay at? I'm thinking of going down on Friday and coming back Sunday with my son. I'd like to see the MoMA and a few other NYC sights.

The Plaza is already booked.

Wish I could make it

This sounds like such a great opportunity, especially since I'm in the city 5 days a week. However, I'm in the middle of moving into a new home...we have had endless problems with contracts. Not necessarily anyone's fault - just lots of stupid government zoning stuff to deal with. It can get approved any day now (hopefully), so I need to keep my schedule as free as possible to get stuff moving when we're finally given the green light.

To all who are going, have a great time! The city has changed quite a bit over the year - and in my opinion, it's for the best.

Anthony

If it's convenient to the location, Le Parker Meridien (118 W 57th St), is a good choice! If you book, ask for a room with a view of Central Park. (ETA awesome beds)

I wrote a review on Le Parker Meridian - that hotel is absolutely wonderful. Another good one is The New Yorker.
