MPA/R Updated

With only a week and a half between updates, I doubt people have moved too much, but any news to share?

RE: MPA/R Updated

Can newer members see any kind of update. I don't see anything on my page. Is that just for more established members? Thank you

Paul

You have to rise to some level before it'll show on your page. Top 1000, maybe?? I'm really not sure.

RE: MPA/R Updated

Statistics on your profile page are for more established members (or lucky new members who have one review take off.) To get them, you need to have both a top 1000 popular review in a category and a top 1000 spot in a category. They don't have to be the same category.

However, if you go to the Member Center, on the left hand side you'll see a link for Most Popular Author and Most Popular Review. If you do some searching in there, you can find yourself. They have not only top 1000 overall for both, but also broken down by year. And they do this for all the categories. So odds are with some work you can find yourself somewhere in the lists.

Oh I get it now. Thank you. I will wait and hopefully establish myself eventually. I am not wanting to go nuts searching just to see my name some place lol. Thank you for the information.

What, you don't want to spend an hour or two every month updating a spreadsheet you obsessively keep to track how you do in every category you've written in every year you've been on the sight?

Mark
What do you mean I need to get a life?

I moved up one overall and have another review that landed in the top 1000 in, of all places, computers and hardware. LOL

Fantastic, your latest top 1000 review suggests using a sledgehammer on the product. ROFL!

Due to the accumulative nature of the statistics and the reduce in overall epinions visitors during the last three years (to about one third) that statistics is not interesting to newer members anyway.

If you have joined within the last couple of years (as I see you have) and are interested in statistics and ranks, you should look under the MPA and MPR for 2009.

That's funny. I think I will one day. Maybe, not sure yet. Call me lazy, but I would rather spend my time on Epinions writing reviews...or sitting here posting nonsense lol.

Hey thanks for the responses. It is cool to be able to get the input I need right here with out going crazier then I already am trying to figure out why I don't see certain things.

OK . . .ya made me look...

You do not rank on the 2009 overall list . . .not surprising given your very recent resurfacing.

You are #241 on the 2008 overall list.

Make sure you visit the Eps Custom Gifts, Plaques, and Certificate Awards Store to pick out a suitable memento of your ranking. Myself, I went for the engraved pen/pencil set ...very classy.

...tom...

In my own defense, I should point out that I did my stat taking last night while also watching Survivor. Writing a review while watching Survivor is not a good idea, unless Russell, Jayson, and Shambo really are main characters in my current book.

Must remember to stop being so helpful. We want to drive members crazy around here. Gives us more company in the nuthouse. :)

lmao Ahh the nuthouse. That is why I feel so at home here. See you learn some thing new every day. Be aware though that I am mentally challenged by my own diagnosis. So if I say some thing that makes me sound disturbed it is A-OK. It comes natural. I am proud to be ridiculously smart and self proclaimed stupid as well. I just hope it doesn't rub off on any one else. The nuthouse could fill up pretty quick.

Wait Mark, you're using the fact you were watching Survivor all the while accumulating your Epinions stats as a defense you have a life? I'm not sure which one is a worse indictment... but both at the same time. LOL

Sorry, I guess we're in the same boat... don't feel bad, I wasn't invited to any wild Hollywood parties either.

You should see some of the hate e-mails I still get from this review. It's quite comical.

But both at the same time is multi tasking, and all multi tasking is automatically cool and hip.

Mark
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. You're wrong and I am right, so there.

Hey, I am drinking coffee while responding to your comment. Does that make me a multi-tasker too?
