Epinions Supported Browsers

For best results, we recommend using the latest version of Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome. We support most versions of browsers, but older versions may not work or may produce unintended results.

Here are the recommended browser versions:
• Google Chrome - www.google.com/chrome
• Firefox 6 & 7 - www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
• Microsoft IE 8 & 9- www.microsoft.com/download/

It came out this week, just curious.

Firefox 8.0 should be fine. Let me know if you have any issues.

Been using it since it came out. No issues I can see.

RE: Firefox 8.0 yet?

I've been using Firefox 8.0 for a few days at least, and so far no issues.

Safari

There are many Mac users here, so how about supporting our native browser?

RE: Safari

Sadly, Safari gets little respect from many commerce sites. It probably makes more sense to download a browser such as Firefox 8.0 which is taken more seriously.

I recommend Casino, which I uploaded first to get Amazon image URLs for SAPs. I've been using Firefox on my Macs.

I'm not convinced that Safari deserves respect--and I'm a hardcore Mac devotee (I think I'm on my 8th one right now).

Thank you!

So nice to see the improvements - especially Firefox. It's years over due.

IE8 still . . .

requires alot of debug-ging since iframes are larger, more sponsorship ad embedding is occuring and if you have too much saved up in your hard drive, seems none of the upgrades will work till you purge unneccessary stuff first.

The face book plug ins, Google + one feature and of course twitter SHAREs are all very good tools designed for tracking the popularity of the reviews we rate but it is slowing down the amount of patience I have trying to duplicate what I used to have no trouble at all, review rating close to 60 a day and reading every one using a so-called evelynerica speed reading tactic.

I hope the 'bugs' in my computer get the eviction notice so I can get back to Epinioning . . .

Happy Holidays to all and to all, well not g'nite cause i am not sleepy, yet.

RE: IE8 still . . .

is causing me alot of issues. In fact, now I cannot even use the back button to make a rate, take. Over and over again I keep trying to make rating work for me, and I come up short. I used to like how easy it was to navigate through the site without pop-ups and other info that locks the computer up.

I won't change to chrome or use Firefox, so am I stuck never making money at Epinions like I used to ?

Can this 'bug' be fixed ?

You aren't the only one having that problem. Check out this thread.

Feedback Requested: Update on Browsers

Okay - I'm back :) am having a difficult time finding some answers. FAQ's need updated :) or is there still an Epinions wiki that someone is keeping up to date?

Browsers - obviously since 2011 - many new ones.

My most important question is - is Epinions mobile-optimized? Tablet-optimized? If not, plans for it in the future?

Because Apple stopped supporting it for Windows users, and since the majority of people still use Windows, why bother?

I see you've been waiting on an answer since, at least, 2007.

Mobile App for Epinions?

SdC Mobile App Not Review Friendly

Of greater, immediate significance, can we presume you are aware of the switch to PayPal for IS distribution?

LOL! Awesome.

Absolutely. About time Epinions did this. I mean they should have done this back when they were sucked into the eBay fray and trillions of people requested it as an option.

Because if you want to compete in a global market, you better have a website that can utilize the very BASIC browsers. Safari is one of those.

I'm trying to remember what language this site is written in. I think the database is sql - is it .net? Lots of iFrames and javascript.

Regardless - just modify the darn css's for browsers - it's really not all that difficult.
