USPS is only going to get slower and cost us all more.

They are closing all the distribution centers in Mississippi, as far as I know. My Netflix disc turnaround time is going to SUCK now.

]February closes and still no check.

I am hoping some have started receiving their February 15 payout checks in the mail.

If not, something seems amiss. We certainly should have started seeing them by now.

RE: February closes and still no check.

We usually get them starting around the 27th. It does seem weird no one has gotten one yet, but with this being a shorter month, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them show up in March.

If no one on the West Coast has received a check yet, I'd say there's a better than even chance that they haven't been mailed yet and are probably sitting on someone's desk.

Keep in mind that Christal's post on the 23rd didn't say they were in the mail, but "should be in the mail now".

A lot of this 'angst' could be cleared up with a little, perfunctory communication; i.e., a phone call to eBay accounting a short post here.

As Pops said earlier, people have been consistently reporting checks arriving by the 23rd/24th, with most reporting them by the 25th - 27th for awhile now. Given past experiences when such 'consistency' is 'broken,' even allowing for President's Day and the 'short' month, no reports of people receiving a check by the 29th is going to, legitimately, create some 'concern;' something silence will only exacerbate as each day slips by with no reports.

Just a thought.

Are you actually suggesting, dare I say it,intra-company telephonic communication? You are a rebel!

"When Johnny comes marching home again, Hurrah, Hurrah..."

Alright. For those of the television generation (particularly in Texas)...

"Johnny Yuma was the Rebel... He roamed through the West..."

Okay. So, I don't sound much like Johnny Cash...

Nothing here either and mail already came for 3/1. Good thing I don't count on it to pay the mortgage :|

RE: February closes and still no check.

I didn't redeem until Feb 16th, so I am assuming (???) my check wasn't processed or whatever it does until March 1st ...

RE: February closes and still no check.

eBay accounting just informed me that the Feb 15th redemption processed this week. They were a little behind on their end, so checks will not get mailed until this Tuesday, March 6th.

I apologize for the delay.

No excuse for no word.

Apology accepted yet I say,

"Bummer!" And it's a shame that it takes two weeks to find out they were delayed and now it's another week to get sent out and then the snail mail waiting. Quite frankly, even though I am expecting money right now, a week or three difference doesn't matter...this time. But that doesn't make an unreported delay OK.

There was a short time in the history of Epinions, until recently, when we knew that the 1st and 15th were the cash out days and we would receive a check within two weeks after that. Epinions didn't play around with people's money.

Even though we don't have paypal for instant gratification, that system worked well enough for me because I knew and trusted the system. To me it was reasonable and was working in a timely manner and I could work within that system cashing out and using the dollars when they came in.

I also understand that things can go wrong in any business but what I don't understand is the disconnect in getting that information from Ebay and out to us. Whoever signs off and creates the checks should be considerate enough to send word that things are delayed well before the checks are not only expected, but late!!

I don't know where the disconnect happened but to me there's no excuse for it. When it come to handling people's money it should never be handled in a cavalier manner.

RE: No excuse for no word.

Thanks Christal,

I depend on these checks too, but I also know that with Google flexing its muscles, the big boys at Ebay had to contend with a possible choking off of all revenue..much less worry about one of their minor subsidiaries..With that in mind, I'd rather live with the delay in a one time payout than the thought of no more checks at all.

Well that's disappointing... It's never taken more than a month to receive a redemption check :( Thanks for checking on it though. I was getting worried the mailman lost it.

RE: February closes and still no check.

I'm also assuming that since the first of the month deposits don't acutally ever happen until several days into the month that this will be the new norm? (early month redemptions not processing until the 15th at the earliest?)
