STOP IT, PLEASE

Christal,

Could you please STOP pinning all these useless posts. They clutter the message board, giving them less than zero value. You already have sitewide places to post sitewide notices. We do *******NOT******* need them repeated and we do not need the Message Board made utterly useless from the noise.

PLEASE, just STOP!

(And it would help a lot if you could not only un-pin, but DELETE the garbage you've inflicted on us.)

RE: STOP IT, PLEASE

While I don't know that it needs to be deleted, it certainly doesn't need to be pinned. The pinned threads are really getting out of hand.

RE: STOP IT, PLEASE

I unpinned it. I thought it might be helpful for new members or other members that might have missed it in the March promo thread.

I did too. Then I checked out the list and the ONE thing I owned was something I already reviewed. Oh well.

Thanks for reminding/sharing Christal.

I didn't know anything about this list. I have a couple of things, one of which I already reviewed. I'll review the other one soon. So thanks, Christal.

Wow - that was a bit angrier-sounding than seems necessary. Personally, I'm glad when Christal posts reminders about sweepstakes that are clearly missed elsewhere. While I agree the pins were getting out of control, I think the request could have been made in a calmer way.

Thanks, Christal, for all you do.

Pins and Needlings

Reminders can be helpful. Some of us DO NEED reminders. Thanks for the reminders. Pinning for a few days is VERY HELPFUL. Not everyone checks the boards every single day.

Pinned and Locked Threads should be regularly un-pinned.

RE: Thanks, Christal

What I think would be helpful, especially at the beginning of the month would be to bump instead of pin. Good reasons to bump:

-- Reminders about ongoing promos like this one.

-- Whenever a list of products needing reviews is updated (add new products in red to get our attention -- that's a long list of things I already saw and don't own to find the additions).

-- Maybe this would be a good place to announce winners for the promo.

Pinned threads should be regularly reviewed to see if they might best be unpinned.

This.

Bumps are excellent message board behavior to ensure that members/readers/posters are reminded of important, current, topical items of interest.

...
Perhaps a single, distinct, locked-and-pinned thread, something like this thread...

Feedback and other useful links

. . .might be useful..??

Titled something like 'Reminder of Ongoing Promotions/Sweepstakes' . . .or whatever topics of interest that might fit a general 'do not forget about this..!!' thread.

One thread, controlled access, less clutter, more timely info.

Separate threads could be posted to alert board readers to new info . . .in case they miss updates to the thread.

Just a thought.

Redemption update

Seems like the complaints got that very useful pinned thread unpinned/deleted. Christal just posted an update on how redemption will work but it doesn't look like a thread will we will get weekly updates on the process. Nice job!

You mean the pinned thread that hadn't been updated since January?

If it were regularly updated, I would agree with you. But as it stood, it wasn't really that helpful.

Good to know!

I don't see anything about the popular products review promo on the News & Announcements page. So this is a nice reminder. There's a product that I can review!

Thanks Christal!

found one I could do and entered it-

RE: I only

I'm not official by any means, but I don't see why you can't enter it in both promos. I haven't found a rule about one promo per review.
