Problems With Redeeming Income Share

This has been going on for over a month now, and I still can't get a frigging response.

One, I'm trying to redeem $140 yet am informed that this would put me over $600 for the year when in fact I have not redeemed a single dollar of Income Share in 2012. I send a message to the e-mail that's given asking about this, and not a single response.

Two, yesterday I sent a messagee to that same e-mail with my phone number, giving permission to call to get my Social Security Number -- even though, again, I have not redeemed any Income Share this year. Yet, big surprise, no phone call.

So no e-mail or phone call, even though I have followed the exact steps as laid out.

Does anyone know how I can get a reponse?

In this thread:

The advice was to contact Christal, who immediately fixed the problem.

This is a 'bug' that's been in the system, well... 'forever.' For whatever reason, there never seems to have been any inclination to 'fix' it.

I wasn't happy when it caught up with me and most aren't. However, at least the problem has been explained...

When you redeem over $600 in a single year, the company is required, by law, to report that income to the IRS.

The 'bug' in the system is that it looks to your aggregate redemptions rather than the current year's. So, once you've reached the $600 mark for lifetime redemptions, the system trips; no matter whether you redeem $600 this year or over the last 12 years.

As Merle pointed out, the only 'working' solution at this point is to contact Christal; though she often finds or is informed of these threads.

She either has to enter your SSN or 'reset' the system to allow you to redeem.

And what is her e-mail address? I don't have it.

(And the "bug" doesn't excuse not responding to the Epinionater who has sent a message to the e-mail address that is generated when you try to redeem.)

That's probably true!

Seriously, this "bug" has been around so long... I can't imagine why they don't just fix it already. Seems like fixing it would be easier than having to reset people's accounts all the time.

Oh well - hang in there - Christal will swing by here, soon, and take care of you, I'm sure.

Max Payout Bug

That explains why the "Earnings Details" page for my account is such a work of fiction.
I've redeemed a couple of hundred dollars over the years. But at some point a while back, it just changed and said I'd only done like $50.
Apparently, the owners decided to cook the books a little to make the thing work right.

RE: Max Payout Bug

I don't know if something happened with your specific account - however, redemptions are shown as negatives and "other" (any earnings other than IS - contests, promotions, bonuses) are shown as positives. So if you redeem, say, $300, and you earn $200 in "other" incentives, your "redeem/other" column would show $100. No "cooking" going on. Just a really bad decision made by someone years and years ago to lump redeemed funds and "other" funds together in the same column making the information confusing for all.

Well maybe just a little cooking of the corp income statement. My monthly check declares it to be a "Customer Refund".

Hmmm...

....well, I sent the e-mail on the 25th; it's the 30th, and still no response to my e-mail address or on in this forum.

I tried to redeem again today, and the "bug" still won't let me.

Mine does too and has said that the last couple of times. Rather inaccurate to say the least.

Well the only bright spot is that redemption won't be run again until the 15th of May. So, it's not like you're missing out by Christal not getting to it yet. That said, if it gets to be the 14th and still no response, then I'd probably start screaming.

I reset your account. You should be able to redeem in the next 24 hours.
