RE: How long is too long a review?
Quote: doreimi Hi,
New here and was writing my first review of a hotel. I tried to put in info that will be helpful to people. Stuff I would want to know. But it's getting lengthy as I'm commenting on hotel amenities too. Any thoughts on what would be too much for a review?
Thanks!
Successful Epinions writers tend to write long. Depending on the hotel, 1,000 words may be too short, so all you can do is write until you think it answers the things you would want to know before booking that hotel. When you're writing, don't forget to build some organization into your review. Break it up into sections, and separate sections with a sub-title. For example, you might have sections such as Front Desk/Lobby, Room, Bath, Pool/Restaurant, Amenities, Conclusion. Or you could break those up into smaller sections, such as Bed, Furniture, Decor... just some thoughts.
Many people around here would be happy to work with you to review what you've written and give you some pointers. If there is a writer you admire, feel free to send that person an e-mail. The worst that could happen is that s/he is on vacation and doesn't reply.
Welcome to Epinions!
