Beware of GPSONSALE.COM. Zero customer service.

I purchased a GPS from them online. I then sent an email to get a status. No replies. I left a voicemail, no replies. After sending them an email saying that I want to cancel, they send me an email that the product is getting shipped via UPS. Checked the tracking number they sent on the email in the UPS site and it doesn't exist.

I have warned my credit card company about them. So if you want zero customer service, feel free to take a chance with this so called company. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with.

RE: Did you get it

Ordered a unit from them, got it in 7 days. No problems. I emailed them and asked for a UPS tracking number, they emailed me the next day.

So? Lets see some reviews, give all the nitty, as well as the gritty. Don't forget, as a consumer, chargebacks are your friend.

Great experience with GPSonSale.com

I ordered a GPS from GPSonSale.com and had a great experience. I sent them an email asking if they had the item in stock and received a reply within 15 minutes. I ordered the product for an amazing deal ($265 below retail plus no sales tax) and recevied the item within a week. It probably would have been sooner but there was a weekend and independence day in there. So far I have had nothing but a pleasant experience and would use their site again.

Review of GPSonSALE

I ordered a Garmin 76CSx as a Christmas present. Price was competitive with all others. Walmart's online site had it for $15 bucks more but I figured I would support the small business out there. I ordered it UPS 2 day so I paid an extra $31.40 for that. Reasonable rate to cross the country. Product arrived 3 business days after order. Again reasonable. Problem was they sent the wrong unit, a 76Cx which was missing 2 of the features that I wanted. So far no response from them. 3 days so far. Sent e mails and called the local AZ number a few times. So far not very happy with support.

if you want to complain

I'm not sure about gpsonsale.com but if you want to complain u should post it on http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/utils/ComplaintDetail.aspx?CompanyID=13205492
i think you can complement them too there.

RE: Beware of GPSONSALE.COM. Zero customer service.

Gpsonsale has failed to deliver 2 Gps, failed to timely return mail, failed to call, failed to give a number where they can be reached, failed to take back items not ordered {switch and bait} and failed to return money. This appears to be a bit more insidious than poor customer sevice.

RE: Beware of GPSONSALE.COM. Zero customer service.

I agree 100%. Listen to this one: BEWARE of GPSONSALE.com. I ordered a supposed "new product" from them. I couldn't get it to work. I input 4 addresses (all within a couple of miles from my home) to make sure it worked and it kept reading "inadequate satellite". I tried to return it (the software had never been used at all by me -- only the unit itself opened to see if it worked). Their policy says 10% on returned items that can still be sold as new (no missing parts or damage). I got an e-mail that indicated a 20% loss. I called and e-mailed. This must be a one guy shop because I kept getting the same guy and he insulted me and called me a liar and told me that if I disputed the charges on my credit card that he would ruin my credit (which has always been perfect). If it worked, I could have resold it for what I paid for it but it didn't. And just because I input 4 addresses trying to get it to work, he said he could not resell it as new! I would NEVER trust this guy. I am in sales and I would NEVER treat a customer the way he treated me and as I can see the way others have been treated. BEWARE and shop in the stores if you want the GPS system. You can trust them.

GPSonSALE reality check

Keep in mind that these comments are after hundreds of thousands of orders over the past 9 years. You will never get an accurate picture of a company with one customer in 100,000 posting a comment. A disreputable company would have a long list of complaints with BBB. Credit card companies and BBB look at both sides of a complaint and a company will not be penalized if the complaints are not realistic or proved fraudulent. A VALID complaint with a credit card company will get your money back immediately.
Truth is, most people are honest and truthful. Our business and the U.S. economy would not work otherwise. There are a few exceptions though. Credit card fraud is common and we have to watch for it constantly. A few people will lie and complain to try to get a better deal or to get us to pay for their mistakes. A few people are just crazy or possibly high when they get on-line. In 9 years I have seen a few that make me wonder if a 10 year old stole their parents credit card and got on-line .
Mistakes by us are handled as quickly as possible and at our expense for shipping both ways. Defective products are handled according to the manufacturer warranty.
We do not accept phone orders and we often do not answer the phone. Our customer communication is via email and you should not order from us if you donít have a working email. We will not accept an order if you donít have an email address.
Most emails are answered within one or two hours during working hours. If some research is required; it may take a day or two.
Most people that complain about not getting emails have their spam filters set so high that tracking info from UPS and our emails are blocked.

Good Experience with GPSonSale

I placed an internet order with GPSONSALE on 12/27/07 for a Garmin Nuvi 360.
The unit arrived on 1/4/08, very reasonable with the New Year holiday.
The price was equal to the lowest I could find after shopping for three weeks. When I ordered, I did not receive a confirming email, which would have made my experience better. But, all in all, I am satisfied with their service.

Another satisfied GPSonSale customer

I just received my brand new Nuvi 760 from GPSonSale. I ordered it on a Thursday night for $519. The following day I sent an email to info@gpsonsale.com as per their policies verifying that it would be a brand new unit from Garmin. I received a quick response from Allen confirming they are new. I also received my UPS tracking number on Friday.

RE: Beware of GPSONSALE.COM. Zero customer service.

I ordered a "new" Garmin 200w. It arrived USED with fingerprints all over it, no manual and all the accesories opened. Have emailed twice, and heard NOTHING. I am calling my bank to reverse the charge. This guy is a FRAUD. He says BRAND NEW, UNOPENED. The battery only lasts 20 minutes. I will NEVER use this company again and am in the process of making a nice YouTube video to show the condition it arrived in and explain my situation. Hopefully I can make at least 10 people buy elsewhwere, I want to hurt this guys business. He is dishonest and has ZERO customer service or support.

RE: Beware of GPSONSALE.COM. Zero customer service.

The most common complaint on Garmin products is that they are used. In fact, there are not tens of thousands of used late model units on the market. Garmin's standard factory package is not sealed, is loosely packed, and the unit is held in place by a cardboard frame. Once UPS has played basketball with the box the cardboard frame will be torn or flat and everything tossed around.
When a customer return comes in, it will almost always be returned to Garmin. There is no reason for a dealer to sell used merchandise when they can exchange it for a new product. Garmin does sell refurbished products, but they come in a plain white or blue box and the part number is changed to 010-N*******. Garmin's term for these is NOH or Newly OverHauled.
When a used product complaint comes in, the customer will be sent an email explaining this and what they can look for that will show that the unit has been used. The most obvious thing to look for is the location on the unit when it first comes on as the unit always shows it's last location. Taiwan or Olathe Kansas is a new unit.

RE: Great experience with GPSonSale.com

I had a very smooth transaction with GPSonsale.com I ordered a Garmin Zumo 550, with 3 day shipping. Received a "order receipt" e-mail within minutes after ordering. About 1 1/2 hours later received UPS tracking # via e-mail. And 3 days later received my unit. It is working great, and my husband loves it!
