How to write a VH TV review?

I recently purchased a HD-ready LCD widescreen TV and am gearing up to writing a review on it. I've been reading TV reviews around the site, but would like to get some input on what makes a very good review in this category.

Thank you!

Mia

Importance of gaming test of the TV?

One thing I wanted to discuss was if I need to set up a gaming test of the TV for ghosting, etc. to evaluate how good it is for gaming. As I don't play at all, I'd have to sit my son and his friends down and get their opinions. This is not a problem to do, but is this something that most buyers need/want to know when making a purchase decision for this kind of TV? If I didn't include it, would the review be seen as lacking? (I have lots of other questions, but I'll stick to this one right now!)

RE: Importance of gaming test of the TV?

I certainly don't think not addressing the gaming issue would detract from the overall quality of the review as long as you cover all the basics, color, adjustments, remote, gui, ergonomics, inputs, HD capabilities (native vs. input) etc

I think were you to sit the kiddos down and poll the audience, that would be going above and beyond and definitely add to the consumer helpfulosity.
