Replaying older games
Have you ever broken out one of your old favorites and found that you'd forgotten a lot about it? Was it as fun as you had remembered?
Sometimes when I play some old NES titles, it goes both ways. Some of them are still fun while others seemed lame nowadays.
I recently played Icewind Dale again and enjoyed it more than I think I did the first time around. I might have to reload Diablo II again and get online, just for kicks. |

RE: Replaying older games
I replay old games all the time actually.
It's almost a yearly ritual for me to replay the original Grandia on the Playstation. Speaking on even older games though, they can go both ways.
For the most part, RPGs hold up for me.
Side scrollers usually don't though. |

RE: Replaying older games
It's a mixed bag for me. I used to love some of the old NES side scrolling shooters, but they just seem terrible now. But I still get a kick out of many of the old platformers, sometimes more than I did when I was younger. |

RE: Replaying older games
It's quite a while ago now but when I played The Secret of Monkey Island for the second time, years after the first, it was still brilliant.

RE: Replaying older games
I recently replayed the Thunder Force series for the Sega Genesis, and those games seem so much harder now. But I still like them for those incredible soundtracks. |

RE: Replaying older games
I play my Genesis occasionally, but I play my NES and SNES on a semi-regular basis. Most often it's just one of the classic RPGs that I grew up with, but I have a lot of games for the two Nintendo systems. Many of them actually still have working batteries even ^^ |
