granite flooring with flexbond thinset

Hi,

I bought 18x18 granite (Venitian gold) for my entry way. My installer said he could install without any grout in between. He is using "Flexbond thin-set mortar". The granite color had changed as soon as he laid the tiles. The golden color in my granite turned to green (like the thin set color). My installer says it is natural for the porus granite to change color upon installation. Is this right? I am not happy with my golden color granite turning green. Any help/uggestions are appreciated.

Granite Color Change

I've been doing a lot of research on tiling as I'm in the middle of a master bathroom floor right now. I distinctly remember one of the professional books mentioning that Granite and especially marble tile should be sealed on the back sides before being installed.... specifically to prevent color changes from the adhesive products. Sounds like your installer didn't read all the books and info available?
Good Luck

If the Flexbond has been absorbed by unsealed tile, I'm afraid there's not much that can be done.
