corsicana bedding

You people crack me up! Iv sold many different brands of bedding for about 8 yrs now and i have to say Corsicana has been on of the easiest companys to deal with on warrenty issues. First of all there have far fewer problems with this brand, but most of what you are complaining about is comfort! So what if its not comfortable, do you think they can guarrantee comfort at the prices they charge? Do you think everyones idea of comfort is the same? If you want a comfort guarantee go spend $2500 on a mattress set, then you SHOULD get a comfort guarantee. They can afford to take back the mattress then. And what happends if you buy a tv at walmart and it doesnt work, sure they will replace it but do they come get it for you? No, why should your mattress be any different.
I agree the problems i have see in most bedding is due to owner neglect, not rotating or flipping and trying to skimp and only buy a mattress to put on grandma Edna's 35 yr old box spring. Come on folks use some common sense!

RE: comment on Corsicana mattress

i cant believe you would say anything bad about corsicana they are far more expedient than any other manufacturer and believe me i could tell you some rather interesting info such as all others also charge a delivery on warranty claims and others such as your nationals have been known to sag and sag again.so i really cannot even believe you would type this info for people to see.SO PEOPLE READING THAT ARTICLE LET ME TELL YOU I HAVE OWNED A CORSICANA FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND ITS STILL IN SHOWROOM CONDITION AND THE COMFORT IS WONDERFULL.

RE: comment on Corsicana mattress

WELL WHAT PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS DOES NOT EXAMINE THE MATTRESS SET BEFORE CONSIDERING TO REPLACE IT.OH MY HOW CAN YOU EVEN TYPE SUCH NEGATIVITY.CORSICANA IS ONE OF THE BEST COMPANIES AND QUALITY ON THE MARKET.

Corsicana Bedding

I have a Corsicana Royal Plush mattress set. My Dad, daughter and sister-in-law as well as a good friend of ours, all have Corsicana mattresses. I also work for a store that has sold Corsicana for many, many years so I have had a lot of experience with them. Once in a great while we will have a defective mattress-usually in the fist 3 months. Corsicana has been the easiest company to deal with when it comes to returns. They have never once questioned a return nor have they told us that it has to be inspected. Yes, sometimes a mattress will have a defect-nobody's perfect. But overall, I am 100% satisfied with my 3 year old mattress-it still sleeps wonderfully. As for our customers- I would say we have 99.9% satisfaction and for that other .1%, we exchange the mattress for them first and then worry about Corsicana. Even if Corsicana did tell us that they wouldn't warranty it we would still replace it for the customer. I am not saying that other people haven't had problems with Corsicana but our experience has been wonderful.

Corsicana Bedding

I took receipt of a "Sussex" Corsicana mattress 7/30/05. It is just under 2 years old. Monday my husband and I rotated the mattress - we have done this about 4 times since we purchased it. When I got in bed Monday night I could tell that the now "new" side (the one my husband had been sleeping on) was NOT comfortable; I felt like I was sinking into the mattress. Tuesday morning I awakened with a sore back. My husband weighs 80 pounds more than I do and we have bought several beds in 37 years of marriage that have comfortably lasted 10+ years, so why not now? I've read all the available posts on this mfg. My question is, can a bed mfg. make a "lemon" and I got it? To those of you who are happy with your Corsicana mattresses, what model bed do you have that you like so much? The "Sussex" model has springs, foam and a pillow top. When we first got it, it was wonderful. The retailer is now out of business and we are going to deal with a new dealer in the area. I have spoken with the mfg. and they sound like they are going to give me a new mattress. I have not yet spoken with the new dealer.
Before Monday, I had been happy with the bed with 1 exception --- the original dealer said we would not feel the other person moving and/or rolling over in bed. From the beginning, that was NOT true, but since the bed was so comfortable I did not complain. Thanks for your answers/feedback.

sleepworthy mattresses

Having tried top of the line mattresses for most of my 60 years, I just discovered the Sleepworthy line at less than half the cost of the big names, but made in NC at the same factory. Yes, same materials, same craftsmanship, just sold under different names. We have been more than pleased with our Sleepworthy mattresses that we purchased a year and a half ago!

re: sleepworthy

We bought a Sleepworthy mattress in NC in 1998 because it was the most comfy one we found and the price was about half of all the others. Since then we've moved up North and went from the Sleepworthy queen sized to a Sealy King. It sucks. We've had it for 3 years and frequently go sleep in the guestroom just to use the Sleepworthy mattress! We're in the process of trying to contact the company to see if we can get one freighted up North. That's how awesome they are! Our guests always comment on how comfortable the mattress is. We agree.

RE: comment on Corsicana mattress

you seem to be pretty knowlegeable about corsicana mattresses. I recently purchased a franklin that had some problems but sounds like they are going to replace it. My question is, if I were to take this opportunity to get firmer matteress, what model should I look at?

thanks

Corsicana sucks.

I can't speak for any of the other mattresses mentioned though.

Corsicana Mattress

Last August I purchased a King Mattress Set. I had it roughly two weeks before it had a huge dent in it. I say dent because it was there all the time. You could roll up hill to the other side of the bed. I am not as skinny as I use to be but, I also don't weigh that much to make a permanant sink in a new mattress. I called the store she told me there was nothing she could do. I travel a lot and was out of state for almost two months. When I got home it was still dented. I drove down to the store and made it clear there was something really wrong with that crazy thing. The store owner said that since I had been gone, several people had complained of the same problem. She said they would replace it now. She said something about the mattress having faulty springs.I told her I didn't want the same mattress, I wanted to upgrade. So now I am paying more money for the same brand. It is being delivered today. I will let you know in two weeks if anyone should buy this thing.

RE: sleepworthy mattress

Sleepworthy does not manufacturer a Regalia mattress. That mattress is manufactured by Corsicana, not Sleepworthy.

Mattresses

I've worked in the mattress industry for 21 years now...16 years as a manufacturer's sales rep for 2 of the big "S" brands and the past 5 as a retailer, selling a very good quality "off brand". Keep a few things in mind, folks. Comfort is a very personal thing. Spend as much time as you need to testing mattresses in the store. I wouldn't place too much stock on recommendations by others, from a comfort standpoint. Secondly, the history and integrity of the manufacturer and dealer is more relevant than the actual brand. About 80% of all mattress components are shipped by one or two companies to the HUNDREDS of mattress producers nationwide. Lastly, no matter how long any warranty claims to be, the reality is....a good quality set set used by two average weight adults every night is designed to provide about TEN YEARS of good support and comfort. Hope this helps.

RE: Corsicana Mattress

Hi!
You mentioned you would follow up on this mattress. What model did you buy? How has it performed so far?

I have another question. Realistically, what IS a good brand of mattress to buy? We are in the market, but, I have heard such horror stories about Sealy, Simmons, Serta, Sterns and Foster, and now Corsicana bedding. Are there any that are "safe"?

Who is the "you" you mention in your post? I can't tell from the context.

RE: Corsicana Mattress

For all of you out there considering buying a Corsicana:
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!!! of course these dealers are going to promote their product. It's a bunch of B.S. Here's the nightmare expeirience I'm going through right now:
about 6 months ago I was broke and got talked into buying a pillowtop Winslow model from the "Royal Heritage" line Corsicana makes. The dealer was in a shady warehouse, I should have been more careful to begin with. After a month I noticed indentations where I sleep. Being very busy I didnt think much of it, until recently I had back pain and the sagging was very noticeabe. Please note that I sleep alone and weigh 110 pound. I called the store, and the dealer claimed that my bed was defective, that the company sent some out with a "bad batch of foam", and that dozens of others who bought the same bed had the same problem. He offered a refund, but I was stupid and decided to "upgrade" and paid even more for a "nicer" one. They exchanged it without any trouble. However, I have had this new one, a plush version of the same line, for 2 WEEKS and its is caving in worse than the other. I don't care what any seller says about standard "settling", a mattress should never be sinking in that much, whether 1 or 2 or 10 inches, especially after that use. I called the dealer and he now acts as if he has no idea what I'm talking about. He made me take pictures to prove I wasnt making it up. He said I probably won't have anything done about it, despite the warranty, and I have to wait until he "files a claim with the manufacturer". This is piece of crap bed and now they are trying to rip me off. Granted I have not dealt directly with Corsicana, yet. But the moral of the story: these are terrible quality and DON'T BUY ONE, no matter how cheap it is or what a great deal it seems like. Fork over a little extra and at least get a better brand (if you want a great deal and good quality, I highly recommend Denver Mattress CO). Alot of these beds are being sold as clearance and closeouts, but as I've learned, many dealers like mine are selling used and refurbished beds as new, especially with these cheaper brands. BUYER BEWARE! Well, that's my two cents. I will update once I find out what will be done about this one I have.
