I was wondering if anyone had used this yet, and if so how is it?

RE: bissell flip it mop

Sorry I can't help. It sounds fascinating but I'm unfamiliar with this.

I'll look it up, though. Thanks for mentioning.

Lorace

On the web it shows as a hard floor cleaner and sells for $96.00 approx. It's available at most warehouse stores, Sam's, Sears, WalMart, etc. It flips from wet to dry.

Interesting!

To locate on Google, just use Bissell Flip It.

Flip-it isn't worth a flip

I bought the Bissell Flip-it and was really excited at how cool looking it was. It was easy to load the liquid, clean the filter, etc.

I feel it is not worth the money because the suction on the vacuum is awful. I used it on my harwood floors and found that hair from my dog is hardly sucked up and something like a piece of dog food is left behind.

The wet side is ok. It basically squirts the fluid on the floor and then sucks a little bit up. You can't really scrub with this like you could with a mop.

I would say, save your money and research a few different models. I did research and most reviews I found were good, so maybe it's just my model.

Hope I helped you in your decision.

RE: Flip-it isn't worth a flip

Hi, CurlyCreative.

Thanks so much for your input on this mop. It was interesting.

I looked at your profile and see that you have yet to write a review. Why not copy this post that you've made and paste it on Epinions?

This would qualify for an Express review and would be helpful to many more persons than the ones that access this message center.

Good luck and hope to see your review posted. Do look around the board and you'll probably find things that will help you in writing Home & Garden reviews.

Again, thanks. Any questions, feel free to ask.

The following is required

My first thought is why can't I write a review about this product?

But my second thought is,

1) it is missing the hose, a very important part of any vacume cleaner

2) the first day I owned it, I broke a bottle of milk and it did a GREAT job of cleaning up spilled milk, so for that alone I am greatful.

3) it does a nice job on the wet side, I have hard wood floors and it works wonders, but doesn't pick up large items but for dust it is perfect.

Review?

So why don't you review it? Don't let a missing hose stop you.

I second the motion! People would benefit from knowing about this. It really sounds unique.

RE: bissell flip it mop

I have purchased one and am not happy. The dry side blowns dust and dog hair around rather than sucking it up. The wet side sucks nicely, but the cup and filter where the dirty water ends up is very small and quite a pain to empty. Mine is sitting in the closet and I don't use it.

Bissell Flip-it

The Bissell Flip-it doesn't seem to be ready for the big time. Has anyone seen a similar item that does work for cleaning smooth flooring?

RE: bissell flip it mop

I bought one of these after talking with my brother and his wife and trying their's out. This machine is great and I believe it does exactly what it advertises. When the Hoover FloorMate came out, I purchased it. I really disliked it and returned it. It was heavy, too big, and had terrible suction. The Flip It however, is lightweight, small enough to maneuver into smaller spaces, and does a credible job on moderate to light cleanup jobs. Yes, you have to pull back slowly to get the best suction, but is that really different than any other machine such as a carpet cleaning machine.

It does more than a fair job of sweeping up hard debris and dust. Even regular size vacuums do not pick up huge chunks of dirt easily, and more often than not, spew things all over. So, I would say if you are starting out with a HUGE mess, it may not perform to your expectations. However, if you use this as a quick in-between major cleanings type tool or if you keep your house relatively clean to begin with, I think you will be happy with it.

I read one post where someone said it was a huge pain to empty the dirty water cup. How hard is it when all you have to do is release the cup, pull it out, remove the top and empty? If someone thinks this is a major pain, than they have no clue of what hard work is. Just my opinion though. I love it and will recommend it to anyone who asks me about it.

RE: bissell flip it mop

Again, you all should consider writing reviews of the Flip-It Mop. A good, thorough review will get more people's attention than the handful who will see your comments here. Please consider writing a review of this product on Epinions. We need your opinions!

Thank you for sharing. I was looking for something to clean up cat hair and kitty litter and this doesn't sound like it would do the job.

Bissell Flip it

Hi all
I got the Bissell Flip It last year for Christmas and I LOVE IT. What I have found is that I don't use the dry side because it is lacking on suction, but really you just save yourself an extra step by going right for the wet side crumbs and all. I am so happy with it because normally when I would mop my floor there was usually a slimey residue left over, but with the flip it the floors feel smooth and clean. It is light weight and easy to empty, and much easier to deal with than a nasty mop. When you are done you just throw those little cleaning pads in the wash and your done! My sister paid 99.00 dollars for it (probley cheaper now) and she tells me every time she comes over that it was the best 99.00 dollars she ever spent because I use it ALL THE TIME! Ok there's my opinion!!

RE: Bissell Flip it

I was going to tell you to write a review in the regular review section on Epinions but I just searched on every variation of "Bissell Flip It" and came up with zilch. It's around here somewhere, and is a better place to leave your opinion. Maybe someone else will figure out the right spot for your review.

Ah, I found it. The right place to leave a review of the Bissell Flip-It is at www.epinions.com/pr-Bissell_5200_Wet_Dry_Vacuum. Click on the link in the middle of the screen that says "Write a review" and start writing.

This product is ripe for a high-quality, detailed review and I have the feeling that such a review would be a strong earner on Epinions. In any event, I hope you write a review.

Bissell Flip it

I purchased the flip it about 8 months ago. The first time I used it, I should have put it back in the box and taken it back to the store.

I've never used it for wet. My reason for buying this item was for hard floor clean up. The filter is always clogged and no particles of dirt ever hit the plastic bin.

The filter needs cleaned after every room I vacuum.(which is time consuming)

I would not recommend this product.

Be sure you leave a review at www.epinions.com/pr-Bissell_5200_Wet_Dry_Vacuum

More people will read that than will see your message here.

RE: BOB?????

Bob is one of the moderators of the Home & Garden forum on Epinions. Epinions is actually a consumer review site, a place where people like you and I can write reviews of all sorts of products, including the Bissell Flip-It. I've reviewed movies, music CDs, cars, coffee pots, circular saws, car stereos, computers and digital cameras, among other things.

Epinions also has discussion forums, which is where this post is. More people view reviews on Epinions than read these forums, which is why it's important to write a review if you want your message heard. Good or bad, we want your review so that consumers can make an informed decision.

Is there anything else you'd like to know about Bob?

RE: BOB?????

Bob is also a very knowledgeable person and kind gentleman. I have met him in person and find his advice, review, and comments to be second to none.

The point that Bob is trying to make is that posting a review will not only be helpful for us, but also for the potential buyers of this product out there. We all started somewhere, and this experience can be a very enlightening and profitable hobby. Not to mention that you can meet some very nice people like Bob. Good Luck!!!

Yes. Does anyone as knowledgeable, nice, and helpful exist in real life or just on the internet?

Keep doing your thing, Bob. It works for me.
