RE: Topsy Turvy upside down planter
I actually have one of these, or more precisely my wife does. She has a tomato plant in it and it has been nothing special. However, we do not have the ideal location to plant it, and it gets a lot of shade. Ideally (for tomatoes), you want the plant to hang where it gets good strong sun and you want it to be up high enough that the plant won't grow all the way to the ground. Unfortunately, ours is in a location that gets shade for most of the day and it's too close to the ground. If you have somewhere to hang it that is not shady and can keep it high enough, I think it will work well.
One final thing is that the Topsy Turvey is HEAVY. You have to hang it from a good, sturdy hook.
Hope that helps!
