Kenmore Elite dryer, no heat

Im looking for help with my kenmore elite dryer (model 110.65922401) which is only 2 years old. The machine runs, but there is no heat.

I called sears and was told they can come out for a service call for $60 and give me an estimate to repair???

Has anyone experienced similar problems with this dryer? Im hoping it is a relatively easy fix and something I can repair my self.

Check the heater relay . . .

This sounds like it could be a bad heater relay. If you swap the motor and heater relays and the dryer only runs with the start button held in, the relay is bad.

I had the same problem, it would tumble, but not heat. I swapped the relays, and now it tumbles and heats, but it doesn't get as hot as it did before. any suggestions?

gas dryer Kenmore H3

I have the same problem with my gas dryer Kenmore H3. Is not hitting enough and I have to keep my clothes to dry 3 hours. Did you fix your dryer?

kenmore elite dryer 3 yrs heating element broke

Kenmore is awful. Our Kenmore Elite dryer is less than 3 years old. Tumbles but suddenly stopped heating. Sears wants almost $200 to come and fix it. Warranty is expired. Is it crazy to expect an appliance to last more than three years these days? I am so angry!

Elite HE5 does the same thing

unit would run and run and not shut off (clothes were too hot to even touch) so we thought dryer duct was blocked. Then, it would take almost 3 hours to dry a load of clothes. Now there is no heat. Sears Canada is not honouring the entended warrenty and say they have only been out 2 times when really they have been out 5 times (I took days of work for this so I know when they were out). Apparently, after 3 times of fixing the unit they have to exchange it but we are getting the royal run around. BBB here we come.
