a new low
My brother booked rooms at the Silver Spur Lodge in Lake City, Colorado for some friends and me, as we have done for years. This time, though, the service sucked and the noise was terrible. They have built a bar right next to the motel rooms. Swell idea. Too bad for anyone who wants to get some sleep. The band played until 2:00 am. Bad news for anyone who wants to get any sleep. Didn't have any hot water either. This place is about as bad as it gets. Avoid it! |

RE: a new low
Well, I think you ought to write a proper review about this place. There's probably many people who are interested in finding out more about this hotel!
Cheers,

Just outside Cooperstown...
we had taken the kids to the Hall of Fame (the same day Hillary Clinton was there kissing babies and signing baseballs - did she play in the major leagues?) and all hotels in Cooperstown were booked.
We ended up at the Travelodge in Fultonville, NY.
Room was loaded with huge spiders, the dirty tub had hair in it that I really didn't want to see, the kids immediately started sneezing from the musty/damp smell, and there were literally ducks in the swimming pool.
A lovely stay!

If it was an indoor pool I'd be truly horrified!

worst hotel stay ever!
We were at a Rodeway Inn in southern Pennsylvania. The ceiling was about 6 feet high, the beds were wet, there was a giant spider in the refrigerator and in order to get to the room, we needed to climb up a rusted staircase OUTSIDE the hotel and literally crawl through the window. |

RE: Worst Hotel Room Ever?
Eugene, OR: School field trip to do this Mock Debate at the University, my Sophomore year of High School. Our whole group had to switch hotels after finding holes in walls (one hole was in our bathroom door, domestic abuse anyone?), ants, and semen stains EVERYWHERE. I wish I had remembered the name of the place (I really don't think it was a mainstream AAA-certified establishment)... :(
Yuck. |
