Why are there multiple listings-some "hidden"

Why are there multiple listings for a hotel, and some aren't visible in the Epinions search, while others are?

For example, I wrote this review years ago:

http://www.epinions.com/Sandals_Halcyon_Beach_St_Lucia/display_~reviews

And you can't find it in Epinions, yet you can find the same hotel, same name, no changes in ownership etc, with no reviews here:

http://www.epinions.com/reviews/Sandals_Halcyon_Beach_St_Lucia

Should I be moving my reviews somehow? Shouldn't Epinions have done that if they changed their folder structure to add a "/reviews/" to the url? I've noticed this with a lot of the old reviews.....

RE: Why are there multiple listings-some

Once week and no reply...I guess that answers my question...

"Because there isn't the staff to keep this place running the way is should be"?

I still wonder if I should move my posts and if that makes any difference....

RE: Why are there multiple listings-some

You've hit on one of the many annoying problems with Epinions. This particular problem has been around at least 4-5 years. It's been reported many times, gotten a little bit of lip service once upon a time, but never a true fix.

If you're going to write reviews at Epinions, you just need to adopt a life philosophy that "chaos is good". Either that, or moan and whine a lot in the message boards.

Have fun!

I answered this question in the general topics area. :)

I didn't want anyone thinking he had been ignored this long.

Good advice. I know of one Destination that is listed at least 3 times, has at least 1 review on each listing, and can only be found by digging through the database with a shovel and pick-axe. Groan and move on. -Dave
