Any neat Christmas ideas yet?
Has anyone started Christmas shopping yet? Any neat ideas? I have a 4 year old boy and 2 year old girl and just starting to think ahead...

RE: Any neat Christmas ideas yet?
Ooh, good question! My four year old has been asking for a pillow pet for two months, so I'll probably get one for her and her 2 year old brother. We're all entranced by the new Big Foot from Imaginext whenever we go to the store.
Otherwise, it looks like there will be no Zhu Zhu style frenzy this year :)
What are other people thinking of?

My almost 5 year old and 3 year old daughter want:
Disney Princess Connectable Castles - they are small castles based on each princess that could connect to a larger one (we'll just a buy a few of the smaller pieces)
Disney Princess and Me Dolls - they so far are $50 each though!!!!! :(

I looked at those castles on the website for Toys R us and they are not getting very high rankings. My daughter loves Disney Princesses and ideally would like these castles, but maybe I'll have to check them out in Toys R us personally.
Thanks for the ideas! My 4 year old has been getting back into his trains a lot lately, so maybe we'll just add more to the Geotrax or Thomas collections.

So what did everyone end up picking up their kids for Christmas this year?

Ha ha. What didn't we get? My four year old fell in love with Tangled, and is getting two Rapunzels. The one from her grandma is gorgeous. It's a 24" version of Rapunzel as a toddler. We've also got a Littlest Pet Shop sitter coming to our house, a lego board game, Star Wars figures (including a Mighty Beanz Millennium Falcon), a camera and a Geo Trax Toy Story train set that I got an excellent deal on.
The only realistic item on my seven year old's list that I didn't get (she also asked for a laptop, which is not realistic) is the Fur-Real Walkin' Go Go Pup. I can't find a way to rationalize the cost against the giant headache it will give me, especially since her sister wants one too and they are not interested in sharing the 'real' dog.
What did everyone else end up with?
