Hart Carts, Hart Marketing Inc, 300cc Hart Carts Chinese UTVS

Here is what I know and what experiences i have had with Shawn Hart and any of his so called companies.

I own a small engine repiar shop in Northern Michigan. I purchased several atvs from Shawn Hart a few years ago.

To this day, i have had nothing but problems with these chinese atvs. I can't get parts from Shawn. I had to order parts from other companies. Several came in not running and I had to repiar them before I could sell them.

out of 24 that i baught at one time, 13 had some type of issue. I had to refund 9 customers and use the 9 for parts on the others.

I recently worked on a Hart Cart for a customer. Here is what I found.

The power switch that controls the dump bed broke. It actually melted. I called and asked for a new switch and was told there was no stock for this part. I had to go to an autoparts store and modify a switch to work.

I month later, customer returned with leaking fluid under engiine. I inspected and found a cracked casing on the gear box. I again called Hart Marketing inc and was told it was not covered under warranty and it was customer abuse.

I had to call another company on the west coast and pay for the part.

This Hart Cart had 41 miles and 12 hours on it. It was 2 months old from the customers receipt.

Hart Marketing Inc, offers a 90 day unlimited warranty and didn't provide parts when needed.

Bottom line is He will deliver that product, sometimes late, but will. Problem is after the sale, there is no customer service or support. We can't get parts from the guy.

Smooth talk works at the point of Sale, but when you need service or support after the sale, they are lacking.

I called this court phone number listed in these postings and did find there was a lawsuit filed against Mart Marketing Inc, Shawn Hart regarding Hart Carts and failure to deliver product. From reading the postings it does appear that Shawn Hart is doing everything he can to defraud another competitor for purposes of knocking of competition.

If you are a consumer and interested in a Hart Cart or any product Hart Marketing Inc, is selling, Do your research. This guy knows how to make money fast and easy but at the expense of us, the consumer.

I would like to see anyone else affected by Shawn Hart to post here or contact me as to I am interested in a class action lawsuit against him as well.

Hart Cart Satisfaction

I recently bought a Hart Cart and realized all this stuff about a lawsuit after I made the purchase. I figured I would not get my product so called with concerns. I was assured of a date and it came and went. I called again and got a ship date and it did ship and I have received the cart and I am very satisfied, for the money you can not go wrong.I would just like to add that if Mr. Hart is such a crook, how come he has a great record with the BBB ?? The only problem I can see is that he has a hard time keeping them in stock.I think there is a little more to the lawsuit than people are willing to tell, but no matter how you look at it I am very pleased with my purchase !!!!!

hartjunkcart

I received a hart cart that wouldn't run correctly on day one. They kept telling me to do different things to it to correct it. Before that was corrected the transmission went out. I waited over two months for a new transmission, and then had to install it myself. It still doesn't run right!!!! I have requested my money back from the second week I owned it, but have been called a whinner from Shawn Hart. Would you buy something new and expect to have to repair it yourself from day one. I have had nothing but bad service and they have ignored my requests for them to refund my money and pick up this piece of junk!!!!!!!!!!!

Hart Cart Satisfaction

I'm sorry to hear that, but you should of realized that it comes straight from china in a crate and then delivered to you, that is part of the cheap price. You could of paid extra and had it assembled and then it would of been checked out. If you do not know what you are buying maybe you should of looked into it more or paid 12k for one of those other machines. The one I received had a few issues, but where simple to fix, but left alone it would eventually of done damage. I have heard a few people say bad things about the tranny, if you shift it above a idle or moving you can do damage.

Shaun Hart:

Or who ever he is selling himself as this week clearly runs a multitude of corporations that are used to provide legal protection for the junk he sells. I purchased the hart cart knock off on ebay. I have documentation of the winning bid and price to include shipping. This character charged me $500 for shipping then changed his other ebay cart sales immediately adding shipping. His answer to me was do whatever you think you can do.Now the transmission is out after 2 months.I would be thrilled to join a class action suit involving this rude snake oil salesman.I have the money and all the inclination to join any law suit against AKA Hart
if there is any chance of seeing him go down and being reimbursed for this trash cart.

Careful...

Please be careful what info you put in these posts. I will have to delete the thread if personal information of the seller is posted. If you want to exchange email addresses and discuss, that's fine, but we have to adhere to the terms of service and we cannot allow personal info of a seller, names associated with said seller, phone numbers, home addresses, and the like.

Please keep the info general.

This is an important thread but I will have no choice but to delete it if you keep calling a man a fraud. He may be, he may not be, BUT you are speaking of a person and that defamatory.

Thanks, people,

Patty

Wrong size engines - dot illegal

Hart Marketing - Owner Shawn Hart and Steve Whiteneck
Sales - Alan

Intentionally lie to you to make the sale, the engines in the model 500, 650 and 660 are mainly 300cc, not 500cc or 650cc, check the CVT belt cover, see which side it is on, they also lie as to difficulty of assembly and an assembly manual.

The import papers are for a different vehicle, check the inspection plate - says 499cc, the vehicles sold have never had the legal paper work for them - everyone should get a refund and the DOJ should be notified.

The transmission are not capable of handling the HP, they shatter the trans and or rear spyder gears if put in gear at high idle rpm, at least 100 trans have been called into thier parts department as broken to date, many customers are charged $350 dollars for a replacement for an item known to be defective.

Shawn only understands law suites.

RE: Hart Carts, Hart Marketing Inc, 300cc Hart Carts Chinese UTVS

I originally purchased a blue 660 hart kart. After waiting 10 weeks with the promise to be shipping week after week, I was told they could get a 660 camo colored one, I agreed to that, I was tired of waiting. After I signed off the paperwork at delivery seeing that it was a 660, I opened the box and the paperwork inside stated that it was a 500. On the hood and serial tag on the firewall also states that it is a 500. I called them and they said that they have been questioned numerously about this, but that it is in fact a 660. Has anyone else questioned this also? I'm curious if I got ripped off.

RE: Hart Carts, Hart Marketing Inc, 300cc Hart Carts Chinese UTVS

I spoke to Dave Hapner an employee of Shawn Hart as to the designation 500, 650 and 660 - this in no way is the size of the engine, this is a model number they chose to confuse thier customers into thinking the cart had a bigger engine than it actually does.

CHECK AND SEE IF THERE IS AN OIL FILTER ON THE ENGINE, THE 300CC ENGINE HAS NO FILTER, SOME 500 650 AND 660 HART CARTS HAVE 300CC ENGINES IN THEM.

Again, no matter what size engine you get the paperwork for the importation was for a different vehicke the factory had tested and not the one that came in to the states that you received.

RE: Hart Carts, Hart Marketing Inc, 300cc Hart Carts Chinese UTVS

I supposedly purchased a 660 hart cart from hart marketing. On the paperwork it stated it was a 660. On the UTV itself, it states it is a 500. When I contacted them about this, they said they have been questioned numerously about this, but that it is a 660. They are saying a model 300 is a 300cc, but the model 660 is a 500cc. Why would this be different? I believe I paid for a 660 but recieved a 500. This one does have an oil filter on it. They said they quit selling the previous 500 mitsubishi engine due to many problems but now are using Yamaha engines. I contacted a lawyer, they sent them a letter stating I wanted what I purchased. The lawyer for hart marketing replied and said we did in fact recieve the right one. I would have to get a lawyer from Indiana to take this to court. When I purchased this in May, I was told by hart marketing that I could go to Yamaha for parts in the future. I am not sure if I need parts for a 500 or a 660. I did not want to depend on Hart marketing for parts ever. I have not installed the battery or gas yet. I am not sure what to do. Does anyone else believe they have the wrong engine? The reason I was originally upset is the engine cc's, now after reading reviews, I am afraid about parts, etc.
